In fact, theres a good chance that you arrived at this page by clicking a link on your NeoMail providers login page. Welcome! Feel free to browse around and see what others are saying about the webmail interface youve used for years.

- Inline image attachment display
- Friendly, attractive, icon-based user interface -- If you dont agree, you can create your own using the built-in interface template support!

MailStore 0.02
MailStore is a tool that is built in python and provides a mail proxy for POP3,IMAP4 and SMTP protocols. more>>
MailStore is a tool that is built in python and provides a mail proxy for POP3,IMAP4 and SMTP protocols. However, beyond usual proxies, it makes a backup of all incoming and outgoing email and stores them in a Maildir format.
Emails then can be accessed through an IMAP server run on the same machine using the backup Maildirs as mailboxes.
The idea is to provide a realtime , centralized backup of all incoming and outgoing of an organization without the need of user intervention, especially for organizations that use shared email hosting. Many of this hosting providers allow for only POP3 based access of the email.
Secondly, due to its shared hosting environment , there is limited space hence all email ends up being downloaded directly to the client. Any backup effort has to be taken up by the user on a periodical basis. This is prone to problems due to the fact that users might either forget or a data disaster might happen in between a backup cycle.
With a backup proxy like this all email is always available at the backup proxy. Any backup need be done by the administrator only at the proxy server itself. This we believe to be a much more convenient task then backing up user systems individually.
Secondly the MailStore server will always have all the emails the user has sent or received at any point ,hence the backup will always be current. To access the email, a local IMAP server can be run that will provide the user with access to the email that has been backed up. The user may then add this account to their email client and backup all the email out of it locally. (E.g. In Outlook you would probably export all the email in the account). Following that the user will import back the mail back into its original account.
Thirdly , the system requires minimal administrator involvement. It handles the creation of new maildirs for new domain/user combinations. Hence administrators dont have extra config files to play with whenevr new users are added to the system. Whether a user exists or not is left up to the mailserver that mailStore is proxying.
The mailStore system is built in Python. It has been tested with Python 2.3 and 2.4. Any system which support Python 2.3/ Python 2.4 should be able to run it.

travmail 0.1.1328
travmail project is an imap webmail client which requires php but does not use the imap routines available in php. more>>
travmail project is an imap webmail client which requires php but does not use the imap routines available in php.
Ive just made some rpm files available which have relocation enabled in case you want to install into a path other than the default /var/www/html using the rpm --install --prefix /var/htdocs travmail-version.rpm command line.
Please email bug reports to my email address below. If there is enough
interest Ill set up a mailing list.
Apologies for the lame name.. please suggest a better one.
Have a look at config.php and modify it for your sites settings.
As travmail uses css for styling it is very customisable (the only places where it isnt used is due to IE bugs).
There are a few different icon themes as the icon layout/format follows the naming convention of the kde icon sets so you can just untar an icon set then change the icons symlink in the styles/kde-look subdir and provided all the necessary icons are there you have a new theme. There are quite a few icon themes provided but for more visit http://www.kde-look.org
Dont use the filtering code that is in there .. I dont like it and you
probably wont either. Its in no way user friendly and not as powerful
as the procmail level of filtering Ive been used to and want.
Credit belongs with Trent Hornibrook for major features and suggestions
he has provided along the way. And thanks to purple (my gf) for
all the testing. Apologies if Ive missed anyone, email me and Ill give you your due credit.
This webmail client is inspired by all and sundry email clients.
The subdirectories reflect the open source packages travmail relies upon.
International character support is via some files from squirrelmail and
htmlarea is for the html editing .. the html to plain text is from the
phphtmlparser package.
Why another webmail client?
Complicated answer.. another project of mine is an oracle rac based (I
started it before open source databases were viable alternatives) imap/pop
data store for email and I was having trouble getting all the debug information
I needed to ensure that my implementation was correct (it still isnt .. when
it is usable Ill release it as well .. Ive been using it for a few years now
but it still has some pretty lame bugs .. the goal is for redundancy and to
only store any mime part once). For this reason and just for general
debugability (probably at the expense of quite a bit of performance) youll
find that there is a _lot_ of debug options you can turn on in
webmail_class.php
Load Testing
When load testing remember to use the script to strip out the debug code which
is not needed for production use.
Main features:
- compose allows unlimited attachments
- filters
- attachment indication
- message highlight on message selection
- range selection for message selection
- drag for message selection (checkboxes)
- is backwards compatible with the current production web mail (providing easy backout)
- would not require retraining for users due to interface changes if put into production for staff/students
- quick subject or address search
- open source
- used gzip compression for speed over low speed connections (ie. dialup)
- change message read/unread status
- prev and next buttons
- non frames view
- frames view
- safe mail viewing
- feedback/complaint integration
- help/how to
- database integration utilises pear so any php supported database can be used
- obeys the imap server attachment mime type information
- uses bodystructure for mime parsing (as per imap rfc)
- user options
- user option for default view
- people i know view
- unread view
- threaded view
- threaded unread
- conversation view
- conversations unread view
- view multiple messages (useful for printing)
- spam detection (filtering) integration with spamassassin spam flagging facility
- spell checking
- uses faster more efficient native php implementation of imap protocol
- does not use php imap c-client functions
- address book autocomplete
- style sheet based for look and feel
- css based
- warning when leaving compose without sending
- drafts
- html composition
- authentication without sessions
- nice imap failover

- Auto-Installs of MySQL, Apache, phpMyAdmin, and more
- Centralized configuration files
- Support for clusters of qmail servers
- Builds SSL certs for Apache, Qmail, & Courier
Security - Mail::Toaster supports secure connections from the email client (via POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and webmail) to the server. If the remote (destination) email server supports it, we also encrypt the email as it travels across the public Intenet from server to server. Thus, if you happen to be using two Mail::Toasters and your email clients are configured to use SSL, you have a fully encrypted path from the email sender to the final recipient.
State of the Art Filtering - Mail::Toaster has sophisticated filtering capabilities built right in. A default installation blocks all viruses and will detect 85% of the spam. With a little bit of training, its reasonable to expect and achieve 99% spam filtering accuracy.
Flexibility - Mail::Toaster provides an extremely flexible framework to allow you to build your email system your way. This flexibility makes it easy to migrate existing systems to Mail::Toaster and also allows Mail::Toaster to work in diverse environments and OS platforms.
Support - There is a thriving and active support community available on the mailing list. The web forums are also frequented by quite a few helpful folks. If you need more support than folks are willing to provide, commercial support is available.
Enhancements:
- Primarily code quality improvements.
- Rewrites of major portions of the code using techniques described in Perl Best Practices.
- Many more tests, much better tests, and more error testing within the functions.
- A new Webmail interface.
- Its not terribly "pretty" yet, but is much more user friendly and functional.
<<lessMain features:
- SMTP Mail Server (SMTP-AUTH, chk-user, SPF, TLS, tarpitting, RBL)
- Virtual Domain Hosting w/delegated administration

smtpauth 0.94
smtpauth is a authenticating proxy for servers without SMTP AUTH. more>>
smtpauth is a authenticating proxy for servers without SMTP AUTH.
Use smtpauth and stunnel programs to add SMTP AUTH (PLAIN, LOGIN) support to any SMTP server. Clients can authenticate over SSL port 465 or cleartext port 587, and authentication is fully logged via syslog.
Works with JBMail, Pegasus Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, MS Outlook...
This software is really an interim solution until our favourite MTA(s) support SSL/TLS and SMTP AUTH directly. For now I prefer using external programs to provide this functionality rather than patching MTA source. I designed this software to work with my Postfix server, but smtpauth also works with sendmail and just about any other SMTP server.
Installation:
1. Compile and install binary.
make
Copy smtpauth to /usr/sbin, owned by root, mode 755
2. Create special user smtpauth with its own group, no login allowed.
Note that smtpauth will immediately exit with an error if invoked as root.
It must be run from a low privilege account, for security.
3. [For SSL, port 465] Configure stunnel.conf. Change domain for your site.
setuid = smtpauth
setgid = smtpauth
debug = auth.notice
client = no
[smtps]
accept = 465
exec = /usr/sbin/smtpauth
execargs = smtpauth domain 127.0.0.1
4. Configure /etc/smtpauth.conf
This file should only be readable by the smtpauth user, since it stores plain
passwords. It consists of single lines containing usernames and passwords with
whitespace separating. Blank lines and comment lines starting # are ignored.
user1 pass1
user2 pass2
5. [For SSL, port 465] Start up stunnel
This will create a server running as smtpauth on port smtps/465. When SMTP clients
connect (SSL/TLS) the smtpauth program is launched and provides authentication
service through to 127.0.0.1:25, as a proxy. Your actual SMTP server will accept
mail because that connection is local. The mail headers will include X-SMTP-AUTH
indicating the username. Success and failures will be logged via syslog.
6. [For cleartext, port 587] Configure cleartext submission service in inetd
Since inetd (when started with -W) also supports wrapping, the smtpauth proxy
can be run straight out of here too. Note that this is somewhat risky, because
there will be no SSL/TLS encryption on the submission port (587).
Again, change domain for your site (e.g. mail.yoursite.tld)
submission stream tcp nowait smtpauth /usr/sbin/smtpauth smtpauth domain 127.0.0.1

Spamato 0.99.1
Spamato is an extensible spam filter system. more>>
Spamato is an extensible spam filter system. Spamato project is available as an add-in for Outlook, an extension for Thunderbird and Mozilla, and a stand-alone proxy component.
It provides a Bayesian filter, a rule-based filter, a Java implementation of Razor (Ephemeral and Whiplash), a filter that queries domains on Google, and a collaborative domain filter.
Graphical statistics explain the efficiency of each filter as well as the overall effectiveness of the whole system.
Spamato Mail Proxy
The Spamato Mail Proxy provides the possibility to connect any mail client to Spamato by acting as a proxy server. Mail clients no longer connect directly to a mail server but to the Spamato Mail Proxy which transparently connects to the real mail server. The proxys task is to fetch mails from the server and to filter them before they get delivered to the email client.
Installation
First of all - if you havent done so yet - you need to download the latest Spamato Mail Proxy installer from our webpage at http://www.spamato.net.
Install the Spamato Mail Proxy by typing the following two lines. If you are on Windows you could probably just double click the jar-file.
$> cd
$> java -jar spamatoxy--installer.jar
After a few clicks the Spamato Mail Proxy is installed and youre ready to start it for the first time. To do so, please change to the directory where you have installed the Spamato Mail Proxy to and execute the appropriate start script (start.bat for Windows or start.sh for all Unices).
On the first startup, the Spamato system asks for your email address. You should enter your email address for which you want to filter incoming mails. After that, our server will send you a message telling your (then working) Spamato that everything went fine.
After that, your Spamato is running and ready to use. Also, if you are working on a supported platform, Spamato has placed an icon into your taskbar. Please read the next chapter to learn how to set up your Spamato Mail Proxy correctly.
Configuration
The Configuration of your Spamato Mail Proxy is accessible through a web-interface. To open it, just right-click the Spamato tray-icon and click Configure. Alternatively, you may start your default browser, point it to http://localhost:8574, and click Proxy in the menu on the left.br>
Enhancements:
- Fix for the Move & Duplication bug in Spamato4Thunderbird
- Fix for the .NET 2.0 bug in Spamato4Outlook
- Fix for Gmail and POP accounts in Spamatoxy
