jGetFile project is geared towards mass downloading specifically non-html files from the web. Web crawlers and website downloads are widely available and work very well. Not all web-based file crawlers are equal however.

Few file crawers handle this href scenario: < a href="http://www.foo.com?url=http://youreallywantthislink.com/files" >< /a > jGetFile was engineered to be able to handle as many extraneous href configurations as possible. Although it does not handle all possible cases, more will be supported in future releases.

jGetFile supports a highly configurable means to filter the acceptance of links within the program. A user can use the -i or -e options to have the program only traverse links that start with the addresses the user specified, or to exclude links that start with the specified addresses.

Alternatively, for the powerusers, one can specify a BeanShell script through the -als option. This allows for abritrarily complex rules to be specified for accepting links, like accept only links at depth 1 that begin with www.blah.com, exclude links at level 2 that begin with www.foo.com, and exclude links at level 2 that contain word cat. The depth variable is currently not available to custom scripts, but will be in the next release.

There is no gui in the works, and because of the intended simplicity of this program, one is not planned in the future either. Also, jGetFile is not intended to replace wget, although its initial features were based on wget. jGetFile has the single goal of downloading files fast and efficiently from the web.

deal project is a calculator to compute card-draw probabilities for games such as poker or Magic.
This program is a calculator for card-draw probabilities. Specifically, it computes non-replacement draw probabilities using the hypergeometric function. It can also be used to compute binomial coefficients and the gamma function.
Suppose I have M special cards in my deck and N total cards in my deck, and I draw k cards from that deck without replacement. Let X count the number of special cards contained in those k drawn cards.

BasicLinux is designed specifically for old PCs. It uses a small kernel and busybox to provide a low-RAM Linux, capable of browsing the web, doing email, and functioning as an X terminal.

The current release of BasicLinux is particularly suitable for old laptops -- it has PCMCIA capability and includes MagicPoint (a presentation tool similar to PowerPoint).

The current release of BasicLinux is 3.32. BasicLinux comes in two versions: one boots from a DOS harddrive, the other boots from floppies. Both versions have the option to install themselves to a Linux partition on the harddrive.

BasicLinux has a slim IDE kernel and a small set of common modules. If you need a more capable kernel and/or additional kernel modules, you should get them from Slackware 7.1. You will find kernels in the /kernels directory and modules in the /modules directory.

Veterinary Calculator was designed specifically for veterinary clinics, the purpose behind this application is to allow veterinarians to do the conversions necessary for their job quicker.
The calculator includes features to allow you to convert from various common units like pounds and kilograms, as well as convert weight to body surface area for cats and dogs. Ultimately this application will include everything necessary to calculate drug dosages for any animal, however for now its features are primarily limited to cats and dogs.
This calculator is now and always will be free. The reason for the decision to make this application free is to improve the welfare of all animals by reducing the costs associated with keeping them healthy.
Enhancements:
- This is a minor release to fix some text to make things easier to understand, and to fix building on Linux with nant.
- This is also likely the last GPL release; the next release will be LGPL or perhaps even BSD licensed.

Rascan is a rewrite of Inter7s simscan. RASCAN will provide you with the following:
- Will (optionally) check for virus using ClamAV
- Will (optionally) pass your mail through SpamAssassin
- Will (optionally) add a footer to your messages using altermime
The goals of this project are:
- Make it more runtime configurable, instead of having so many compile-time options.
- Make it simpler, removing functionality I didnt use
- Add a little extra, specifically a chance to add footers to messages using altermime
- Make it use bstrlibs string routines, because programming C I am a chicken.
To use rascan, you need a qmail installation with the QMAILQUEUE and qmail-queue-custom-error patches.

OpenL2TP is an open source L2TP client / server, written by Katalix Systems specifically for Linux. The project has been designed for use as an enterprise L2TP VPN server or in commercial, Linux-based, embedded networking products and is able to support hundreds of sessions, each with different configuration.
A userspace daemon handles the L2TP control protocol and a kernel component handles the datapath. The distribution includes kernel patches for 2.4 and 2.6, a pppd plugin, a command line application for management and documentation. Other PPP implementations may be used instead of pppd by use of an OpenL2TP plugin.
Enhancements:
- This release adds a mechanism by which individual L2TP sessions will automatically retry if the peer drops the connection.
- This feature is useful for ISPs that use multiple sessions in a single L2TP tunnel.
- Support for the Linux 2.6.20 kernel has been added.
- New pre-built RPMs for FC5/FC6 kernel updates are also available.

Super Grub Disk is a bootable floppy or CDROM that is oriented towards system rescue, specifically for repairing the booting process.

Super Grub Disk is simply a Grub Disk with a lot of useful menus.

It can activate partitions, boot partitions, boot MBRs, boot your former OS (Linux or another one) by loading menu.lst from your hard disk, automatically restore Grub on your MBR, swap hard disks in the BIOS, and boot from any available disk device.

Super Grub Disk project has multi-language support, and allows you to change the keyboard layout of your shell.
