Software Render Library 0.0.1

Software Render Library 0.0.1

Software Render Library is a library for polygon-based rendering of 3D scenes in software. more>>
Software Render Library is an Open Source software implementation of a polygon-based renderer (like your graphics card).
Main features:
- Transform vertices (from world to screen coordinates)
- Lighting
- Apply fog
- Rasterization of points, lines and triangles
- Texturation
- Z-Buffers
- Alpha blending
- Output to several pixel formats
Installation:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute
`configure itself.
If youre using GNU `make or any other `make program that supports the `VPATH variable, you should instead create a new directory, `cd to it and type `../srlib-src/configure.
This way you can keep the source directory clean and have your sources in a directory which is not modifyable by normal users.
Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Type `make install to install the libraries, headers and documentation. At the moment, only static libraries are built; support for shared libraries will be provided soon.
4. You can remove the library binaries and object files from the build directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean.
There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
Version restrictions:
- Read or write files and file formats, like png or jpeg. Software Render Library expects pixel data in a suitable format in a memory buffer.
- Read and process file formats describing a scene. Software Render Library only takes simple commands like "render this list of triangles" or "apply this certain light".
- Tesselation, i.e. dividing more abstract elements like cubes or spheres into lines and triangles.

PHP Running Management 1.0.2

PHP Running Management 1.0.2

PHP Running Management or phpRunMan is a set of scripts for runners. more>>
PHP Running Management or phpRunMan is a set of scripts for runners. Users can enter intermediate times of their training or race performance for calculating various statistics (distance, avg speed, time/km, projection on different distance, etc.). In PHP Running Management you can enter comments for the whole run or every intermediate segment so the data can be used as a logbook.

Every run (training or competition) is entered as a list of segments and times. You can specify the number of laps and the "offset" (manual correction) of the distance.

Several views are proposed:

- Year view: displays all the runs with their distance, time, average speed, etc.
- Detail view: shows the profile of a run by segment (time, speed, cumulated distance and other indicators).
- Month view: aggregates runs per month over the selected year, shows every months distance, time, average speed.

All the scripts are written in PHP (requires GD lib activated too) and the data is stored in MySQL database.

Game Server Startup Script 1.1

Game Server Startup Script 1.1

Game Server Startup Script project is a startup script to manage dedicated game servers like Quake3. more>>
Game Server Startup Script project is a startup script to manage dedicated game servers like Quake3.
Game Server Startup Scripts is a startup script to manage a wide variety of Linux dedicated game servers. It can start/stop/restart/fix dedicated game servers like Quake3, Half Life, Tribes 2, UT2K4, BF1942 and others.
It uses qstat through cron to validate that a game is running as expected. If a game is not running as expected, the game is automatically restarted from the script through cron.
GSSS was written becuase I wanted a way to start up a variety of games in a standard way. Then I also wanted to make sure the games stayed running even after a crash.
So I wrote this perl script. It will start games and through a cron job make sure they stay running. If you have qstat installed it can also verify the game is running like it is suppose to be and not in some strange state where no one can play.
If the game is running but unresponsive, it kills it and starts it again. You can also stop running games cleanly as well.
Games supported by "Game Server Startup Script":
- Quake2
- Quake3
- RTCW
- Half Life
- Unreal
- UT2K3
- UT2K4
- Tribes 2
- NWN
- BF1942
- ET
Enhancements:
- Very minor changes, minor readme changes, clean up

OutGoing 0.8

OutGoing 0.8

OutGoing is a hacked together perl script designed to aid in financial planning. more>>
OutGoing is a hacked together perl script designed to aid in financial planning. It is designed to take in a list of your regular monthly outgoings and generate a lump of HTML which shows:
- The total amount of money going out for the month
- A break down on a week-by-week basis of the money which goes out
- Shows you what payments are left to go out during the remainder of the month
Installation:
Installation is relatively simple; you can just do a:
$ make install
And everything will install under /usr/local
If you want to change the final destination of the software then you can just update the Makefile to suit your requirements or set the INSTALL variable to the Makefile
Note that you may want to change the location of perl from /usr/bin/perl to something more suitable for you system.
Please see the manual page for this software for running details.
There is also a pkg target, ie:
$ make pkg
Which is used to build a Solaris package of this software. To use this you will have to have installed the pkg-tools package as well.
Enhancements:
- Corrected a bug for when we have a four week period which contains a change from daylight savings to normal (eg the change from BST to GMT in the UK) which led to the incorrect week start days being used; whilst most of the data displayed was correct, the details of how much money had gone out and which weeks had already gone by was incorrect.
- Added a feature to the -T flag to specify a period of time relative to the current time so you can use "+1w" to generate the figures for a weeks time or "-5d" to go back a day. Read the manual page for more.
