SMBD Audit application is a set of VFS audit module for Samba 3 and web frontend to view and search samba audit logs.
Module stores logs directly into MySQL database with libmysqlclient.
You can search database by Login, Address, Share, Action, Log Message(specify filename or directory name), From and To Date.
Here is a very short list of what SMBD Audit package includes, and what it does.

NetSPoC is a tool for security managment of large computer networks with different security domains. more>>
NetSPoC is a tool for security managment of large computer networks with different security domains. It generates configuration files for packet filters which are controlling the borders of security domains.
NetSPoC provides its own language for describing the security policy and topology of a network. The security policy is a set of rules that state which packets are allowed to pass the network and which not. NetSPoC is topology aware: a rule for traffic from A to B is automatically applied to all managed packet filters on the path from A to B.
Currently NetSPoC generates ACLs and static routing entries for
Cisco routers with or without firewall feature set,
PIX firewalls and
Linux iptables and ip route.
It supports network address translation, virtual IP addresses for redundancy protocols like VRRP and some dynamic routing protocols.
IPSec encryption is supported as well. A powerful syntax allows to easily define a large number of crypto tunnels of either a hub and spoke topology or a fully meshed topology. Crypto rules define which type of traffic needs to be encrypted. Crypto configuration for Cisco IOS routers and PIX firewalls is generated.
NetSPoCs text based specification language is well suited for integration with CVS or other version control systems. A script is provided for tagging a policy and saving it to a policy database.
This software is actively developed with perl 5.8 under linux. It should be portable to other platforms where perl is available.

Gnomba is a share browser for the smb protocol.
Gnomba allows you to scan any number of subnets for machines with smb. The workgroups, machines and share are shown in a tree-view.
For each machine you can then view the list of shares, and mount, unmount or browse them.
Right now gnomba is a separate tool. In theory it could/should co-exist with a file manager, perhaps even be part of it. We have made no attempt to do any file browsing, instead we leave that for your favorite file browser (or command line).
Well, I used to explain here how we dont use smb "master browser" scanning. However now we do. If you specify smb scanning (which is set by default) you need to have smbd and nmbd running on your machine.
If you specify IP scanning, you must specify a range of IPs to scan. This is usually just your subnet, so for instance if your network address is 10.23.45.0 then you would probably want to scan from 10.23.45.1 - 10.23.45.254.

kdepopup uses smbclient to send SMB messages. Incoming SMB messages will be shown in a seperate window.
You may reply to these messages or save them to a file.
kdepopup is running as a server under KDE and can also issue smbclient -M commands.
This lets you receive, send and reply to these messages.
It relies on a running nmbd (and I think smbd).
