Slimserver Control is a Amarok script that can control your Slimserver (play/stop) from Amarok.

Usage:

Run the script. On first run, it will ask for the Slimserver IP address, port and the Squeezebox MAC address. If in doubt for the answers, browse to your Slimserver home page, then, while playing a song, move your mouse over the "Play" button. You should see in the status bar of your browser a URL similar to this one:

http://localhost:9000/status_header.html?p0=play&player=00%3A04%3A20%3A06%3A9c%3Aaa

In this example:

Slimserver IP adddress = localhost

Slimserver port = 9000

Squeezebox MAC address = 00%3A04%3A20%3A06%3A9c%3Aaa

Driver on demand is an attempt to ease driver installations in linux. Basically, what happens is that a user plugs any device into the computer, and if a driver isnt found, the client connects to a CGI server, to check if the device is known, and if its not in the database, then the driver lookup fails and the user is no worse off then they currently are.
However, if the device is found online, the driver information file (similar to .infs, just XML and more versatile) is analysed. If its built into newer versions of kernels, but theres a driver available, the driver is installed, but the system recommends strongly that the user upgrades their kernel, automatically, otherwise it just installs.
If the vendor chooses to, they can create their own driverinstall files, put it on their site, and put a reference on the Driver On Demand server, so the user will always have the newest files.. As opposed to having to wait for the admin to update their definitions.
To people who dont care about the specifics, all they need to care about is that if a device on their system needs a driver, this will find it on the internet, and install it for them automatically.

ssh tunnel on demand provides a script that creates an SSH tunnel on demand.

ssh tunnel on demand is a script that makes it possible for a user to create an SSH tunnel to a server and connect to it without needing an account on the box or any experience with SSH.

It was written for users that wanted to connect to Usermin at a remote site. Users enter information into a Web form and the server then connects an SSH tunnel to the remote Usermin server and redirects the browser through the tunnel.

Linux on a Stick is an attempt to make a Live-CD/USB-Flash server Linux distro. At its heart is a very small and simple Linux distro that boots off CD/Flash and runs from RAM (Ie no spinning hard drives of death).
This approach allows us to strip the OS to its very basic components, which minimizes the amount of resources required. This distro is targeted towards Server administrator who are familiar with Linux, its only configuration method is the command line.
Enhancements:
- Linux kernel 2.4.33 was replaced with 2.6.18.8.
- A USB booting problem that would prevent it from booting on some BIOSs (Namely AMI) was resolved.
- The ARDIS iSCSI target was replaced with the Enterprise iSCSI target (v0.4.14).
- The Open iSCSI initiator (v2.0.754) package with kernel modules is included.
- The distribution now boots on more than just Intel CPUs.
- Userland tools (v3.6.19) and kernel FS support were included for ReiserFS and XFS.
- The PHP CLI is included in php-5.2.0 in root.gz initrd.

libbonobo is the non-GUI part of the bonobo component infrastructure, it is most useful for creating aggregate interfaces & doing IPC easily.

libbonobo also contains a rather badly designed & implemented per-system activation system. This needs re-writing & simplifying to be per-display.

What is Bonobo

Bonobo is a set of language and system independant CORBA interfaces for creating reusable components, controls and creating compound documents.

The Bonobo distribution includes a Gtk+ based implementation of the Bonobo interfaces, enabling developers to create reusable components and applications that can be used to form more complex documents.
