Network Communicator 2.0.0
Network Communicator is a simple script for sending and receiving data over TCP/UDP connections. more>>
It can be useful for testing firewall configurations, routing tables, and similar things.
I had originally written two scripts for testing TCP only: a talker and a listener. Upon failure to properly modify them to support UDP only, I made Netcom. It allows the sending and receiving of TCP or UDP data to arbitrary IPs/Ports and optional from/to files.
Im sure there are already tools like this out there like netcat, but wasnt able to get netcat working properly for UDP also. Either way, here you go and enjoy!
Launch Netcom with no options to view the usage.
Enhancements:
- A complete re-write to support arbitrary source/destination and port forwarding (not tunneling).

- The most annoying of these was the seemingly random resending of no longer existing questions.
- Some GUI ugliness was cleaned up as well, especially for Linux systems.

Ubuntu Live Chat Support 0.3.14-7
UbuntuLiveChatSupport aims to provide an interface to communicate to other ubuntu users with the same language & location. more>>
Rationale
People who dont speak english and want local support in their language will face a challenge to gain help in existing documentations, specially when there are just a few documentations for their language. But if they speak to someone that can understand their language, they can talk to an experienced user to provide them with answers. It might as well be positive, because there might be a good chance that they will collaborate on translation of documentations and software for their language, as well as contributing to the Ubuntu work.
Another problem with the current way of getting help in Ubuntu requires the user to read and browse documentations, but what most users really want is getting the right answers to the questions straight. Browsing and reading documentations sometimes require one to research on a particular problem. But to get the right answer from an experience user is the most easiest way.
Scope
This will use Gaim as an IRC client, but will not alter the main Gaim configurations. It will add the IRC channels defined in InternetRelayChat in Gaim buddy list, namely, Localized Channels, Support Channels, and Team Collaboration Channels.
Enhancements:
- Change the name "Auto-Join Default" to "Default"
- Overhaul the Local Channel names
- A new channel will be autojoined based on language.
- Added the language to "Local Languages" group
- Change the name of "Local Ubuntu Channels" to "Local Channels"
- UI improvements, in Nick registration, add a "Passwords do not match" warning.
- Impliment a settings in login page to choose from 2 different layout, the default top channels tab and alternative left channels tab. The static xchat-gnome look is removed.
- Add a new checkbox for privacy, when registration.
- Impliment registration privacy when the checkbox is toggled.

Microdrive Live Linux 0.2
Microdrive Live Linux is a tiny little live cd system. more>>
Main features:
- This is basically a set of scripts which you can use to make your own live linux cd.
- It depends on busybox, isolinux and linux of course.
- I am planning to build a small bunch of diskless, monitorless, keyboardless nodes to do my rendering work [3D]. For them to run, I have various options but live cd seem to be most trouble free.
- But then I couldnt find a live cd, that more or less faithfully follows a ordinary installed linux system. They seem to use squashfs or unionfs or some other form of pseudo writable file systems. I couldnt even get the slax to show me a screen. I am sure it is to do with my laptop graphics card.
- But it sort of inspired me to make my own live cd, so I can match the components to the same library versions of my installed systems.
- To this end instead of making a single cd, I broke the work needed in to a set of scripts so that the whole thing is manageable and reusable.
- Hopefully it will be useful to someone else out there.
- Have a nice day.
- Released under GPL Do you need to ask! ."
