Anthill 0.3.0
Anthill is bug tracking system written in PHP. more>>
Anthill is a PHP-based bug tracking system. It is no longer in active development. Because it is released under the GPL license, you may download and modify the code to your hearts content.
Anthill will not be developed by myself anytime in the near future. As a result, the demo and bug reporting facilities have been shut down and all that is available is for you to download the code. As well, the mailing lists have been shut down as well.
Because Anthill is no longer in active development, there will be no further releases, neither bugfix nor (if it were warranted) security fixes. For that reason, unless you intend to develop Anthill on your own and/or have some skills in PHP code, you may wish to find an alternative tracker.

Kamaelia 0.5.0
Kamaelia is a toy box, a toolkit, a library of components you can take and bolt together, customise and create your own. more>>
Kamaelia is a toy box, a toolkit, a library of components you can take and bolt together, customise and create your own.
This includes components for TCP/multicast clients and servers, backplanes, chassis, Dirac video encoding & decoding, Vorbis decoding, pygame & Tk based user interfaces and Tk, visualisation tools, presentation tools, games tools.
A networked unix pipe for the 21st century - a way of making general concurrency easy to work with, and fun.
A framework providing the nuts and bolts for building components. A library of components built using that framework. Components are implemented at the lowest level as python generators, and communicate by message passing. Components are composed into systems in a manner similar to Unix pipelines, but with some twists that are relevent to modern computer systems rather than just file-like systems.
To enable programmers of all skill levels with playing with components in a networked environment. Network systems are naturally concurrent, and concurrency is often hard. Kamaelia is trying to make concurrency natural and easy to work with, because we are trying to solve some specific challenges regarding putting (some or all of) the BBC Archive online. Lego, KNex and building blocks are great metaphors for systems like unix pipelines that have made concurrency easy (in a constrained way) for 30 years.
Axon - the core concurrency framework - is considered API stable (current version 1.1.2). Kamaelia - the library of components - is considered still in development stage, since we recognise theres a lot more to do (current version 0.3.0). However generally this is regarding adding features rather than removing or changing. Components that exist today, for building systems:
- Components for TCP servers, multicast servers, backplanes, chassis, video encoding & decoding (using the BBCs Dirac codec), decoding and playback of audio & music encoded using ogg vorbis, creating user interfaces using pythons favourite API for SDL (ie pygame, and Tk based user interfaces. Theres also tools for visualisation[*], presentations, and a host of other random things. (including some tools for building games. The layout tools for this actually come from an old lava lamp simulator, so theyve based on a physics/emergent model which I find nice to look at and seems to fascinate geeks and small children alike.
Finally in terms of tools, we have:
- An "axon shell", which is an Axon/Kamaelia aware IPython/unix shell.
- A visualiser
- A visual pipeline builder (which creates code for you based on your point, click and dragging).
This allows you to build systems ranging from viewing network topologies and interactive systems through to networked personal autocues.
Enhancements:
- Key highlights of this release are BitTorrent support, OpenGL support, massively enhanced DVB support, collaborative whiteboarding with audio and support for daisy-chaining whiteboards, a nascent seaside-style Web server, and enhanced visual system composition (i.e. the ability to compose arbitrary graphs).
- All of these include examples, including an OpenGL interface to BitTorrent, a BitTorrent-based simple (non-robust) streaming system, and a "record for me" scriptable PVR based on programme name.

mop(e) snake is a classic snake game which pits you against all the pain in the world. mop(e)snake project runs on Linux, Windows, and GP2X.
You can try its innovative one-finger control method or stick with a more traditional style of play.
Playing mop(e)snake
Press any key to start, and use the arrow keys to control your snake. Eat the pain.
Alternatively, you can use the good old fashioned O, P, Q, A key layout you remember from your ZX Spectrum days. You can also redefine the keys by modifying the config file in ~/.mopesnake/config. Figuring out the format of that file is left as an exercise for the reader.
Press ESCAPE on the title screen to enter the menu, which allows you to change the skill level (Easy, Medium or Hard) and the game mode (Normal or One-button). Press ESCAPE during the game to pause or quit.
In one-button mode, press any key to start, and any key to turn in the direction in which the arrow is pointing. Its tricky at first, but try to get into the rhythm. Its quite fun.
Enhancements:
- mop(e)snake now continues to run if the sound fails to initialize.
- The ability to turn music and sound effects on and off has been added.

Kana no quiz 1.7
Kana no quiz is a little tool to memorize japanese kana (hiragana & katakana). more>>
Kana no quiz project is a little tool to memorize japanese kana (hiragana & katakana).
The method is quite simple: kana randomly appear and you have to find their transcription in rōmaji (Hepburn). There are several possibilities, but only one anwser is right!
Thanks to this method, you memorize the kana to its transcription, and thus know how to pronouce it!
It has been translated into several languages, and many quiz options are configurable. Kana images have been initially modelled in SVG and are placed under the Free Art License.
Through its option panel, Kana no quiz allows you to tune up
the quiz precisely, like choosing which group of kana you want
to train yourself upon.
First, hiragana and katakana are separated, both are then di-vided into big sets of kana according to their type ("Basic", "Modified", "Combined"; and a special "Additional" set for katakana only) which are thus composed of various portions containing 5/6 kana, following the traditional alphabet order (i.e.: ``ka ki ku ke ko").
According to your need and level, you may select one or more portions of the same or different sets, whole sets, all the kana... Once you feel comfortable (you can check it with the results displayed at the end of each quiz), you may also increase the number of possible answers in the random list, or even choose to answer directly through the text entry. Difficulty can be adapted to your skill: this is progressive learning.
From the complete beginner who has to start easily and learn step by step, to the wizard who just wants to confirm his/her absolute master of the kana, everyone should get satisfated with Kana no quiz!

Crossfire TRT 2.1
Crossfire TRT project is an advancement of the crossfire multi-user RPG game. more>>
Crossfire TRT project is an advancement of the crossfire multi-user RPG game. Unlike the original project, it focuses mainly on stability and playability, but also adds modern technology such as map scripting, Perl server extensions, asynchronous I/O, higher resolution graphics, and better client support.
Main features:
- Death is not permanent, and you can get back all lost stats and experience by playing a game in a special place named Nimbus. You are teleported there when you die and you have to play a game (currently minesweeper) to get out.
- Friendly fire is disabled and playerkilling is also modified. You can only kill another player when you and the other player are hostile. To become hostile, you have to visit the church of Gorokh in Scorn and talk to the priest. To become peaceful again, visit the curch of Valriel and talk to its priest.
- Invitation of other players to where you are is possible with the invite command. You have to solve the invitor quest (see below in maps) to be able to use the command.
- You can follow other players with the follow command when you stand next to the player you want to follow.
- Pet monsters and summoned creatures will not stand in the way of other party members, making it bearable to play with summoning skills in a party.
- Map and graphics artists are working on improved graphics and new maps and quests.
- A new currency: the Royalty. Its worth 100 Platinum and is made of paper. (The bank script was completly rewritten in Perl)
- The communication commands have been rewritten in Perl and an ignore command was added.
- Trade shops have been implemented in Perl, which allows the player to trade items when they are offline.
- Big 64x64 faces and tiles have been introduced, which have a higher detail level than the old 32x32 tiles, and can be used with the CFPlus client.
Enhancements:
- optimised event invocation (non-wanted events can now be skipped with 4-5 inlined instructions).
- complete rewrite of town_portal: it now creates a portal to the "nearest" town only, travel is only possible to the town and back, anybody can use it (also removes one of the remaining syncpoints in the server).
- complete rewrite of the range/attack skill slot system: there are now two slots, one for combat, one for ranged attacks.
- introduce the concept of a current weapon (either a ranged or a combat weapon/skill/tool) and switch between them as needed.
- rewrite bow code so bows get more useful: apply damage, attacktype and other stats to the arrows and treat bows as weapons. also rebalance the missile weapons skill so its damage increases with level.
- rewrite the complete player speed logic: weapon_speed now works as documented and there are no unnatural speed boosts.
- implement a utility - cfutil - that simplifies arch and map installation, replacing the old collect scripts and simplying deployment by scaling and cutting faces as required.
- simplify the map protocol extensively by taking advantage of missing bigfaces, speeding up map generation immensely.
- implement inherit keyword allowing archetypes to inherit from other archetypes.
- rationalise archetype, region and treasurelist file format into a single file format and make them reloadable asynchronously.
- make the worldmap, facedata (smoothing, faces, magicmap) reloadable at runtime.
- implement 64x64 faceset support.
- implement fxixsx protocol that saves a lot of bandwidth over the old image/face/smooth packets and allows images > packetsize, incremental and background transfers.
- implement a bandwidth-saving smoothing protocol that works on a face basis as opposed to a mapspace basis.
- the server can now rate-limit image uploads to not exceed a certain (client-configurable) speed while guarenteeing full freedom of movement.
- implement new ex command to request item descriptions.
- implement new msg command for in-game messages with meta information (using xml).
- enforce utf-8 for all text messages.
- added micropather (not used yet).
- many, many bugfixes.
<<lessMain features:

OpenTranscribe 0.2
OpenTranscribe is software to aid musicians in transcribing music. more>>
OpenTranscribe is software to aid musicians in transcribing music. It lets you slow down a part of the music without affecting pitch.
It also lets you loop over a section which has some tricky parts. OpenTranscribe was inspired by the Transcribe! software published by Seventh String Software.
The software provides looping and slowing down function that eases the process of transcribing music.
At first I planned for a GUI application, but lack the skills for it. So I have created a "library" on top of some other libraries that enables the basic functionality required. And I have coded a text based client which is adequate for my own use on top of the library. The text based client is named "tot" (Text Open Transcribe).
Check the INSTALL file for dependancies and TODO file for stuffs that I have in mind but have no time to implement.
Enhancements:
- MP3 is supported.
