Navyn OS is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Gentoo. Navyn OS is a live CD which can be booted from a CD-ROM, but it can also be installed on hard disk.
Most applications included with Navyn OS have very low resource requirements.

Symphony is a distribution of GNU/Linux based on the Debian and KNOPPIX GNU/LINUX operating systems. Symphony will do things a bit differently than other Linux operating systems; making it easier to use and more intuitive than most existing distributions.
Package Management: Because Symphony is designed for the home or small business desktop user, Symphony can standardize the core installation. By doing this, Symphony, and third party developers can provide binary packages of applications which include any libraries not included in the base install.
Because those developing the packages can know for sure what software is in a Symphony OS box and what is not, they can build packages without worries of "Dependency Hell".
Orchestra Environment: Symphony will include a simple application toolkit which allows developers to create gui applications much as they would create perl cgi scripts. Using a slimmed down version of Mozilla for rendering and a localhost only httpd server, Orchestra provides all the tools needed to provide a GUI to your perl applications.
Orchestra will be used in Symphony in the package manager GUI, System Configuration tools and in other places. A complete tutorial for creating Orchestra/Perl applications will be published here as soon as the first Symphony Release candidate is released to the public.

- Provide users with an easy to use Desktop environment without using KDE or Gnome but rather with a lightweight window manager (icewm).
- Provide an easy to use installer in the form of a minimal livecd which loads an installer in a full GUI environment.
- Provide a repository of Symphony binary packages for end users.

Perl OS is a program written in the Perl programming language combined with the Perl module Tk.

Perl OS was created to make an easy interface to run Perl/Tk programs. It was also created to be an easy working environment complete with a text editor, paint program, and more.

The program comes with several programs, along with a utility to add many more which can be found on the Internet.

From the outside, Perl OS looks like a simple operating system. But inside, it is a powerful system for working with Perl and Tk.

Nexenta is a complete GNU-based open source operating system built on top of the OpenSolaris kernel and runtime.
It is a result of our inspiration and desire to build a great system based on the best existing software: SunOS kernel and GNU software. We use Debian - one of the best existing software distribution/packaging mechanisms - to glue the numerous pieces together.
At the moment, Nexenta is not part of the Debian Project. Our packages are not present in the Debian database. We are hoping that in the future this will change and our packages will get their "upstream acceptance".
Nexenta OS has been a hard and challenging work, yet every bit of it is fun! We spent many hours building the system and today it is out - itll start speaking for itself.
Nexenta is completely open source and free of any charge.
It contains Apache, MySQL, Perl/Python/PHP, Firefox, Evolution, software update manager, Synaptic package manager, Gaim Instant Messenger, abiword, administration & development utilities, editors, graphics, GNOME, interpreters, libraries and many others. Nexenta software packages (for the most part) are originated from Ubuntu (Breezy) Linux. Ubuntu (yet another excellent distribution that uses DEB software packaging) contains more than 16,000+ software packages. One of our goals is to make them all available for use on top of our environment.
Today Nexenta runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit x86/x64 platforms. As a prove of relative maturity and a confidence booster - this web portal and the entire development environment (including Bugs and HackZone) are powered by Nexenta.
