GRZipII project is a high-performance file compressor based on Burrows-Wheeler Transform, Schindler Transform, Move-To-Front and Weighted Frequency Counting.
GRZipII uses The Block-Sorting Lossless Data Compression Algorithm, which has received considerable attention over recent years for both its simplicity and effectiveness.
This implementation has compression rate of 2.234 bps on the Calgary Corpus(14 files) without preprocessing filters.
NOTE: GRZipII cant compress/uncompress pkzip/winzip files (*.zip).

Enhancements:
- The grzip package now includes additional scripts such as grzcat, grzless, and grzdiff.

GPalta is a genetic programming toolbox that aims for simplicity and speed.
GPalta features tree-based genetic programming, optional strong typing, a multithreaded GUI to control an evolution process, the ability to save evolutions to a file, to be continued at another time and place, and easy interoperability with Matlab.

URBI: Universal Robotic Body Interface. URBI is a scripted command language used to control robots (AIBO, pioneer,...). It is a robot-independant API.
URBI Project is based on a client/server architecture and it is designed to be used over a TCP/IP or IPC connection.
Main features:
- URBI is a low level command language. Motors and sensors are directly read and set. Although complex high level commands and functions can be written with URBI, the raw kernel of the system is low level by essence.
- URBI includes powerful time oriented control mechanisms to chain commands, serialize them or build complex motor trajectories.
- URBI is designed to be independant from both the robot and the client system. It relies on TCP/IP or Inter-Process Communication if the client and the server are both running onboard.
- URBI is designed with a constant care for simplicity. There is no "philosophy" or "complex architecture" to be familiar with. It is understandable in a few minutes and can be used immediately.

Skaringa is an API for Java and XML language binding.
It transforms Java objects into XML documents and back, and can generate XML schema definitions for a Java class.
Typical applications are data exchange, object persistence, object transformation, and driving XML based presentation layers.
Skaringa is designed for speed and simplicity, supporting a wide range of types. Skaringa works with all Plain Old Java Objects (POJOs), it is not limited to special cases, like JavaBeans.

MicroAlbum project is a photo gallery script written in PHP, with an emphasis on simplicity, ease of installation and usage. It does not have a million features, nor does it have a thousand configurations, skins or plugins. It is intended to be small, simple and fast.
It works on the principle that you create one folder for each photo album, and you put the pictures you want into that folder. The script does the rest.

MicroAlbum offers some customisation features to let you change the look and feel of the album; you can add your own stylesheet, and customise the headers and footers.

MAILBOX wmnotify is a "DockApp" application, running under WindowMaker, to periodically check a POP3 or IMAP4 email account for new messages. It also supports SSL encryption.

When new messages are detected, the mailbox image is animated to give a visual indication that new mail has arrived. Additionnally, if desired, a sound can be produced from a WAV or AU audio file, or from the console bell.

For simplicity reasons, wmnotify doesnt support multiple POP3 accounts. But by starting a new instance of wmnotify and specifying an alternate configuration file on the command line, you can effectively check multiple POP3 accounts.

phpWebTickets provides a partial rewrite of phpSupport.
phpWebTickets is a partial rewrite of phpSupport by Chris S. It sports a templated design using Smarty, cleaned up code, and added features.
Features will be added after the initial movement to Smarty and code cleanup have occurred, but small improvements will most likely sneak their way in there during the migration.
