GRZipII project is a high-performance file compressor based on Burrows-Wheeler Transform, Schindler Transform, Move-To-Front and Weighted Frequency Counting.
GRZipII uses The Block-Sorting Lossless Data Compression Algorithm, which has received considerable attention over recent years for both its simplicity and effectiveness.
This implementation has compression rate of 2.234 bps on the Calgary Corpus(14 files) without preprocessing filters.
NOTE: GRZipII cant compress/uncompress pkzip/winzip files (*.zip).

IrssiBot is an IRC bot written in pure Java. IrssiBot is a powerful IRC automation - a "bot" - that was written for my personal needs & fun in summer/fall 2000. It is written in 100% Java, giving it advantages to traditional platform dependent counterparts in flexibility and ease of development.
IrssiBot is released under GNU Public Licence (GPL). A newest version of both source and binaries is downloadable, and possibly some older versions also. Required Java Runtime Environment 1.3.1 or newer may be downloaded from Sun Microsystems.

MAILBOX wmnotify is a "DockApp" application, running under WindowMaker, to periodically check a POP3 or IMAP4 email account for new messages. It also supports SSL encryption.

When new messages are detected, the mailbox image is animated to give a visual indication that new mail has arrived. Additionnally, if desired, a sound can be produced from a WAV or AU audio file, or from the console bell.

For simplicity reasons, wmnotify doesnt support multiple POP3 accounts. But by starting a new instance of wmnotify and specifying an alternate configuration file on the command line, you can effectively check multiple POP3 accounts.

libdvdcss is a cross-platform library for transparent DVD device access with on-the-fly CSS decryption. It currently runs under Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, BSD/OS, Solaris, BeOS, Win95/Win98, Win2k/WinXP, MacOS X, HP-UX, QNX, and OS/2.
It is used by libdvdread and most DVD players such as VLC because of its portability and because, unlike similar libraries, it does not require your DVD drive to be region locked.
