Simple UDP proxy/pipe is an advanced UDP proxy/datapipe/packets forwarder and modifier with multiple functions. more>>
Simple UDP proxy/pipe is an advanced UDP proxy/datapipe/packets forwarder and modifier with multiple functions.
Multiple clients allowed (you can connect many clients you want to this proxy), creation of ACP files (tcpdump capture files, just like a sniffer), packets forwarding (chat style, each packet is forwarded to all the other clients and server connected), packets injection (the tool opens a specific UDP port where you can send your customized packets which will be sent to the server), hexadecimal visualization and plugins support for the modification and visualization of the packets with some example plugins already included (Zdaemon huffman, Doom huffman, Half-life decoding and one for the replacement of the text strings).
Plugins (which work on both Windows and Linux) are very basic to create and use, just take a look at example_sudp.c for more informations.

IMAP Calendar Proxy 1.3
IMAP Calendar Proxy implements an HTTP proxy that converts HTTP PUT requests of vcalendar data. more>>
IMAP Calendar Proxy implements an HTTP proxy that converts HTTP PUT requests of vcalendar data to separate messages stored on an IMAP server.
IMAP Calendar Proxy project can be used with Mozilla Sunbird/Calendar to allow storage of a calendar via IMAP.
There are many issues with the program in its current state. Consider it alpha quality, and you may lose calendar data if you use it. Its more of a proof of concept right now. Its rather slow if you have a large calendar.
Ideally IMAP support should be built into Mozilla. This is just a hack. Id like to hear any feedback on how it works. See the TODO file for features Id like to implement.
Sunbird can post calendars to a remote HTTP server via HTTP PUT and to
synchronize via a GET before a PUT. This proxy should run on the same system
you run Sunbird on. It makes a connection to an IMAP server and selects
a specified folder.
It then retrieves all calendar data from that server and caches it it memory. Any changed to the calendar are HTTP PUT to this proxy, and it determines what to do on the IMAP server (delete, change, add). Instead of posting the whole calendar back to the server, it only posts the differences.
If you run the proxy elsewhere on the network, you will not get any bandwidth
savings because the HTTP PUT and GET are still done over the network.

Proxy Applet 0.2.3
Proxy Applet is a GNOME tray applet for changing your network proxy configuration with a single click. more>>
Proxy Applet is a GNOME tray applet for changing your network proxy configuration with a single click, in a manner similar to Galeon 1.x.
Galeon used to have a single click Network Proxy selector in their menu, which I used frequently. In a discussion with Epiphany developers about this same functionality (using GConf) they argued that you could already move the Proxy Network capplet to your taskbar.
But that doesnt offer all the functionality Im looking for. What I think would be neat is:
- An applet that gives you a list of preset configurations upon a single click.
- Each configuration is called a location and could either mean:
No proxy
Manually configured proxy
Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC)
A remote URL, eg. http://pac.isp.net/path/file.pac
A local URI, eg. file:///home/user/pacs/location.pac
- When you select another location, the applet should replace your GConf settings accordingly. (GConf key: /system/http_proxy)
- A preferences dialog should allow to manage locations and even test a location (see if proxy works or check PAC syntax ?).
- In a later phase there might even be an automatic selection based on eg. the network-configuration (ip-address, network, gateway, ??). So the applet has to monitor the network configuration for changes.
- When using tsocks or dante lib, we could have a dialog to socksify the complete system. (Add it to /etc/ld.so.preload or run /etc/init.d/tsocks)

HTTP Proxy Client 0.8.5
HTTP Proxy Client is a set of libraries and scripts that provide transparent access to Internet. more>>
HTTP Proxy Client is the small set of libraries and scripts, which provides transparent access to Internet via HTTP proxy for programs, which uses TCP/IP for communication.
The list of programs includes: telnet, ftp, licq, cvs, smth else? Project implements dynamic library, that can be preloaded before program run.
The library substitutes some system calls (connect(), gethostbyaddr(), gethostbyname()), with calls, which makes TCP/IP connection through HTTP proxy. This allows client programs behind HTTP proxy work with Internet without limitations.
At the moment tested on i386 Linux, i386/sparc Solaris.
Enhancements:
- While using dotted address, applications will attempt to connect regardless DNS lookup result.

Zaval Proxy Suite 1.0.0
The Zaval Proxy Suite is an easy-to-use solution that allows monitoring TCP-based protocols. more>>
The Zaval Proxy Suite is an easy-to-use solution that allows monitoring TCP-based protocols, such as HTTP, NNTP and others. It is extremely useful in software development and can be used as a debug tool. Another area of appliance is multiple connections logging with proxy facilities. As soon as its a pure java solution it can be used almost everywhere.
The Zaval Proxy functions as a proxy and transfers data between the server and the client writing incoming and outgoing traffic into log files. So you can see these raw data as is.
On start the Zaval Proxy Suite goes through configuration file and creates the specified number of proxy servers and the shutdown server.
"Proxy server" is a server socket listening on the specified port. When the client is connected proxy connects to the target server and transfers data between them logging entire traffic. On each connection 2 files are created - xxx-input (request data from the client) and xxx-output (response data from the server). The "xxx" means here the sequential number of the connection for the proxy server. The traffic is logged into the separate directory for each proxy.
Shutdown server is needed to close all open connections correctly and close the program.
So, in the particular case you should specify address of proxy server in client application (web browser, for example) and address of the target server in the proxy configuration file. You can create any number of proxy servers that run at the same time, however, they should use different port numbers.

IMAP Proxy 1.2.4
IMAP Proxy server is a caching IMAP proxy server. more>>
IMAP Proxy server is a caching IMAP proxy server. It was written to compensate for webmail clients that are unable to maintain persistent connections to an IMAP server. Most webmail clients need to log in to an IMAP server for nearly every single transaction.
This behaviour can cause tragic performance problems on the IMAP server. imapproxy tries to deal with this problem by leaving server connections open for a short time after a webmail client logs out.
When the webmail client connects again, imapproxy will determine if theres a cached connection available and reuse it if possible.
How does imapproxy keep track of which server connection is for which user?
Upon the first successful login to the real IMAP server (through the proxy), imapproxy fills in a little record that contains the username, an md5 digital signature of the password and the server socket descriptor thats being used.
After you log out and then log back in again, imapproxy just has to find a record that matches your username and password. These records are stored in a hash table (with the username being the hash key) in memory, so the lookups are pretty fast.
Can IMAP Proxy support multiple backend servers?
If you want IMAP Proxy to be able to proxy to multiple backend IMAP servers, you can run multiple instances of IMAP Proxy and make sure each instance is looking at a different configuration file.
Before you do this, take a look at perdition which appears to have been designed with this specific task in mind.

UProxy 0.91
UProxy is a proxy for UDP protocols. more>>
UProxy is a proxy for UDP protocols. UProxy was initially designed to allow users to play Unreal Tournament matches over the Internet on computers sharing a dial up connection.
UProxy could also be used by any client-server application that uses the UDP protocol and doesnt require clients to bind a fixed port. UProxy should run under Windows, Linux, or any OS which supports BSD sockets.
Initially UProxy has been designed to allow playing Unreal Tournament matches over Internet on computers connected by a LAN sharing a dial up connection, but it could be used to play other games (such as Quake) and by every program using a UDP protocol where clients dont have to bind a fixed port (not only games!).
The main reason why I did UProxy when udpproxy already exists, is because I tried to port udpproxy to Windows but it was so difficult that I decided to rewrite it from a scratch. As result, UProxy should compile (and work) under Windows, Linux and, probably, every OS supporting BSD sockets.
UProxy doesnt support all the features of udpproxy yet, even if it should not be difficult to add them. However UProxy is now pretty usable and I will wait before adding other features while Im not sure I really need it.
Usage:
uproxy localport serveraddress serverport
where
localport is the port the proxy will listen to for incoming client requests
serveraddress is the address of the server where the proxy will forward client requests
serverport is the port the server is listening to for incoming client requests
Example:
My computer has the address 172.16.2.1 on my LAN. It is connected to internet by a dial up connection. If I want to allow computers on my LAN to access the an in Internet server having address 123.123.123.123 running Unreal Tournament on port 9999 I have to run the following command on my computer
uproxy 7777 123.123.123.123 9999
then other computers on the LAN have to use the address 172.16.2.1 as server (Unreal Tournament uses UDP port 7777 by default) to reach the Unreal Tournament server 123.123.123.123 on port 9999.
Messages:
While running, UProxy prints bytes in/out statistics every 10 seconds.
When incomes a request from a new client a message is shown and 30 seconds after the last packet sent or received by the client the pseudo-connection is dropped and another message is shown.
Enhancements:
- Besides some cosmetic changes in the code, this release should fix an ugly bug affecting UProxy when used in a Unix-like operating system.
