Free sidux highway kdm theme widescreen 0.1 software for linux

sidux-highway is a KDM theme as a modification of the Sabayon KDM theme "Open Future".

The highway picture was taken and modified by me, the go.png is taken from "crystalline black" icons (kde-look.org #46349), session.png and system.png are modified nuoveXT icons (kde-look.org #26449). The small pictures inside the monitor and folder are sidux wallpapers.

Modifications:

changed wallpaper and icons and resized and repositioned the userlist slightly, added missing screenshot

The highway picture is widescreen 1920x1200. Should be easy to resize it if needed. For your convenience I also have added a 1024x768 version, just rename it if you want to use it instead of the WUXGA picture.

To use the theme untar it to /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/ and either change your /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc manually or use kcontrol if you have the kdmtheme module.

ATTENTION: If you use a display height other than 1200 the position of the login area (that half transparent stripe) will be different from what you see in the preview. If you want to have the same position with another display height you can easily adjust it by editing the file highway.xml with your favorite text editor. Just go to line 49 and change the y-value that by default is "-485". Its an easy rule of three: lets say you have a display height of 800: 800x485/1200=323 - go and replace -485 by -323.

Random Theme Switcher provides an extension which switches skin at random time interval.

If you have no theme installed, this extension is of no use.

The GTK-Qt Theme Engine is a project allowing GTK to use Qt widget styles.
Gtk-Qt Theme Engine behaves like a normal GTK theme engine, but calls functions from Qt instead of doing the drawing itself.
Version restrictions:
- Due to an incompatibility between Qt and the GNOME window manager, some parts of GNOME will not be themed by Qt.
- The theme will run fine under GNOME, but the logout box and window border menus will appear blank.
- It appears that the only way to overcome this bug is by patching Qt itself.

gtk-theme-prefs is a GTK+ theme manager, written using Gtk2-Perl. There are already a number of pure GTK+ theme managers.

This one differs from the others in that it fairly closely follows the GNOME HIG, and uses Glade.

Jini icon theme project consists of SVG vector themes.

Installation
For using jin4 jin5 jin6 icon theme, you should have install jin3 theme
To install the iconset please extract to
/home/ /.icons
or
/usr/share/icons
now use your Desktop Environments theme manager
to select the theme.
in GNOME you can find the theme manager in the menu
Desktop > Preferences > Theme
now click "Theme details" and then select the "Icon" tab,
Dropline Neu! should be available in the theme list :)

Glass Icons Theme provides a full transparent set of icons.

Full Transparent SVG Icons, are in beta-test.

This is the first public release.

gentoo splash theme chooser is a gentoo application to choose a gensplash theme.

You can choose a theme and it it will make a symlink from this theme to default in /etc/splash.

After that it mounts /boot and does the following command:

splash_geninitramfs -v -g /boot/fbsplash -r resolution default

It does not touch grub.conf

There is a Readme included with an example grub.conf and further information. For me it is a handy tool and I hope it will help other gentoo user too.

Kubuntu KDM Gears is a Kubuntu version of Gears KDM theme (credits to mandrivian and ChristianNickel), based on the following Ubuntu Gears KDM theme : http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=32589
Original version features a flat Kubuntu logo.
2 versions featuring a logo with some kind of relief effect are available (logo from http://kubuntu.free.fr).
Version with official kubuntu edgy logo is available.
Finally, a Kubuntu Tux version is also proposed.
That should be it for now, unless i find some other kool Kubuntu logos. You may suggest new pictures, and your comments/suggestions are welcome.
