Secret of Eternia 0.3
Secret of Eternia project is a 2D RPG using ClanLib. more>>
Secret of Eternia project is a 2D RPG using ClanLib.
The eaisest way to get started is to use an example map from the game itself. Open up (File-Open) the first map in the maps/ folder (maps/1.fmp). You will notice that the map looks exactly like the first screen of the game demo!
You will notice the screen is divided into 2 main sections. The larger section is the preview of the map you are working on. The left side menu is a listing of all avaliable blocks that you currently have in the map. You can click on a block to set it as your current brush. This is similar to choosing a paint color in a paint program. Once you select a block, you can then edit the map by clicking in the map area. This is the generic way to edit the map.
Play around with this map to create some different landscapes and such using many blocks. You can even save the map and start up SoE to see your changes! (Make sure you have a backup of the original map, or you will have to download the game again).
Enhancements:
- Bug fixes! See the forum for detailed information.
- Lua support is added in. (see docs/ for how to use this)
- Lighting effects are here!
- Fully Working Windows Support

System Configuration Collector 1.7.38
System Configuration Collector (SCC) is yet another configuration collector. more>>
System Configuration Collector in short SCC, collects configuration data of systems in snapshots. The structure of the snapshot allows SCC to compare a snapshot with the previous one and detect changes in the configuration.
Upon detecting changes, scc adds the differences to a logbook. The snapshot and the logbook are converted to HTML for local inspection. Optionally, the SCC-files can be send to a system running the SCC server software. On the server, summaries of the SCC-data are generated and search/compare operations on the snapshots and logbooks are available via a web-interface.
The logbook is a starting point in case a system "suddenly" does not work correctly and the administrator is wondering what he/she has changed in the last weeks or months. As most of us know by experience, configuration changes can have accidental side-effects on (other) systems.
By examining the entries in the logbooks and considering the consequences, the cause of an actual problem might be found more easily than by just trying to remember the changes that were performed.
The snapshots can be used to compare the configuration of two systems. Imagine systems, that are supposed to be identical, but behave differently. Comparing parts of the snapshots of the two systems can indicate the cause of the difference in behavior.
Enhancements:
- The DIV tags in the HTML was corrected.
- Directory data/transfer was created to avoid errors in scc-pull. cpu-speed for SunOS was added.
- The machinfo variable is now initialized.
- The determination of local filesystems on Linux was corrected.
- Squid classification was corrected.

dbxbandmin 0.1
dbxbandmin collects traffic via ipchains/iptables/ipfwadm-rules and writes the data into an Interbase database. more>>
dbxbandmin collects traffic via ipchains/iptables/ipfwadm-rules and writes the data into an Interbase database. It uses Perls DBI-driver and can be extended with support for various database versions.
- You need a kernel with firewall-support
- you need ipfwadm or ipchains or iptables
- you need the InterBase-Client
- you need Perl 5.xx, pE. 5.5
- you need IBPerl0.8x
- you need DBI-Modul for Perl
- you need DBD::InterBase
(try "perl -Mcpan -e shell;" and type "install DBD::Interbase")
If you do not know what parts you needed, try install.sh for reports
First you must install a "Listening" firewall-policy. The tool tng-acc-bandminstart will do this. Follow the instructions of TNG-installation. The options-overview can you get by typing
"./tng-acc-bandmin --help", if you want a german-explanation, try "./tng-acc-bandmin --language=german --help". To remove firewall-policy use tng-acc-bandminstop.
If you have questions after reading all damn documentation, please dont hesitate to ask me for tng-acc-bandmin or marco for TNG in general.
Enhancements:
- tng-acc-bandmin.rc, tng-acc-bandmin: - added POD-documentation about all - checking if "kennung" exists - tng-acc-bandmin supports now a quiet simple and human-readable configfile - fixed misspelled words - moved short switch for "ReadDevices" from "-c" to "-r" - added switch to use a special config file (default one in current dir is "./.tng-acc-bandmin.rc"), please check documentation for side-effects - virtualization of "DBI"-driver, that means the DBI-Call is complete configurable by configfile or -switches - added an example for a configfile

The Language Machine 0.2.3
The Language Machine is a free software toolkit for language and grammar. more>>
The Language Machine is a free software toolkit for language and grammar. It includes a shared library, a main program, and several metalanguage compilers with one frontend. The system is easy to use on its own or as a component.
The Language Machine directly implements unrestricted rule-based grammars with actions and external interfaces. A unique diagram shows rulesets in action.
Main features:
- rules describe how to recognise and transform grammatical input
- the left-side of a rule describes a pattern
- the right-side of a rule describes how the pattern is treated
- the left- and right- sides are unrestricted pattern generators
- the system is a kind of symbolic engine for grammar
- the metalanguage is very simple and very concise
- multiple grammars, rule priorities, left-recursion, right-recursion ...
- variables and associative arrays, a subset of javascript
- transformed representations can include actions and side-effects
- transformed representations can themselves be analysed as input
- can be used as a free-standing engine or as a shared library
- can be packaged together with precompiled rules
- very simple interface to external procedures in C and D languages
- built-in diagnostics with lm-diagram generator
- several self-hosted metalanguage compilers with a single front end
- compiled rules can be wrapped as shell scripts, or as C or D programs
- rules can be compiled to C or D code
- metalanguage source can be treated as wiki text in the Mediawiki format
Enhancements:
- modifications for compatibility with gdc-0.22 and dmd-1.010
- element.d - wrong indices to non-keyword array literal cells
- add src/dmd/Makefile for building with dmd compiler

CCIDE 0.0.8-8
CCIDE is a tool that generates code from embedded decision tables. more>>
Ccide reads C, C++, BASIC, or bash source code containing embedded decision tables from stdin, expands the tables, copies the remaining statements, and forms a compilable C or C++ source module, executable bash script, or interpretable BASIC program.
Erratic side effects are avoided by evaluating all condition expressions at exactly the same time, and by performing all evaluations and actions in the original sequence.
Enhancements:
- Numerous fixes to BASH script generation.
- Added CC comment recognition: if //DECISION_TABLE: is encountered in a C program, use "//" for generated comments instead of /* .... */.
- Fixed standard C comment recognition and generation.
- Added environment variable, CCIDEW, to ccide script, to facillitate testing. If CCIDEW is empty, the ccide script will attempt to find the ccidew program and set the CCIDEW variable equal to its location; otherwise, the script will attempt to use the program at the CCIDEW location.
- Changed C program output from C++ style comments(//) to C style comments(/*...*/) to enhance portability.
- Added logic to suppress unnecessary condition evaluation (e.g. if there are only "Dont Care" entries in the condition statement).
- Added -p PREFIX option to substitute PREFIX for CCIDE in generated code.
- Added NEWGROUP in condition stub to replace ccide_group == $$.
- Eliminated unused case labels to reduce compiler warnings.
- Made some security enhancements.
- Replaced the typedef, CCIDE-BIT, with unsigned long.
- Added new target (make flaws) to Makefile for systems with flawfinder installed.

Benchmark::Forking 0.99
Benchmark::Forking is a Perl module to run benchmarks in separate processes. more>>
Benchmark::Forking is a Perl module to run benchmarks in separate processes.
SYNOPSIS
use Benchmark::Forking qw( timethis timethese cmpthese );
timethis ($count, "code");
timethese($count, {
Name1 => sub { ...code1... },
Name2 => sub { ...code2... },
});
cmpthese($count, {
Name1 => sub { ...code1... },
Name2 => sub { ...code2... },
});
Benchmark::Forking->enabled(0); # Stop using forking feature
...
Benchmark::Forking->enabled(1); # Begin using forking again
The Benchmark::Forking module changes the behavior of the standard Benchmark module, running each piece of code to be timed in a separate forked process. Because each child exits after running its timing loop, the computations it performs cant propogate back to affect subsequent test cases.
This can make benchmark comparisons more accurate, because the separate test cases are mostly isolated from side-effects caused by the others. Benchmark scripts typically dont depend on those side-effects, so in most cases you can simply use or require this module at the top of your existing code without having to change anything else. (A few key exceptions are noted in "BUGS".)
