I wanted to register every service imaginable with the portmapper, but didnt like the idea of actually running the daemons necessary and relying on the firewall to keep the connections controllled (some dweebs voice in my ear kept saying, "defense in depth.") I was going to bang on the sources to portmapper and hardcode everything from /etc/rpc into there, but after I pulled the tarball down, I started reading and saw that pmap_dump and pmap_set would do it all. The fakerpc here is derived from RedHat Linux 7.1, Irix 5.3, and Solaris 8s /etc/rpc files, and then built to include lines for versions 1-4 of each rpc program, via both udp and tcp. Start portmapper as normal, but instead of firingup rpc programs, just execute:
"pmap_set < /usr/local/thp/fakerpc".
Theres a 1:1 chance that this will break your existing legit rpc services. If you are running rpc services on your firewall/hpot, you should go hang out with those non-IDS types above.

Feed Me Links provides many interesting features such as tagging, comments, RSS feeds, tag clouds, friend lists, a REST API for exporting, a browser sidebar, and Firefox and IE favorites import.

Poster blog is a software which allows you to create a blog without the need of a database: all you need is an hosting (even a free one) with PHP support, FTP access and you must be able to chmod files.
Posting is really easy, thanks to a nice web interface which makes no use of JavaScript, so you can use it also on old browsers or even textual ones. I wrote down a list of Poster powered blogs (really short, at the moment, but I hope it will grow soon).
Poster blog works on plain text files and doesnt require a database.

USB Headset Buttonss purpose is to enable the Volume up and Down Buttons on my Logitech USB 30 Headset.

USB Headsets are very useful for VoIP applications like SIP Networks or Skype. On my headset I have volume buttons which need extra care to be taken of. This Application does it.

Asteroids is a simulation game where you have to shoot in some asteroids. Asteroids is a clone of asteroids game.
Control your spaceship with the mouse, shoot rocks until they vaporize completely.
Installation:
I have tried to compile this programs on : Linux and Solaris.
On Linux and Solaris, simply type gmake (On Solaris, typing make will call Suns own make program, that is incompatible with the makefile).
Once the program has compiled, type ./game
Enhancements:

wmcapshare is a dockapp to control and manage the HP Capshare Information Appliance.

The goal is to provide a linux replacement for the CapShares own application which HP has seen fit to discontinue.

Why

I got sick of having to deal with the openobex sample application as my only interface to my HP Capshare. So I finally sat down and dealt with it. Also HP recently discontinued the product and no longer support it. I had been using it with windows when I needed to, but the drivers no longer work with Win2K.

What

libtemplate allows C developers to use templates for their CGI programs just like Perl and PHP programmers.

Use this template library to separate your programs business logic from the HTML that generates the output. Your code will be smaller and easier to maintain, and cosmetic changes to an application wont create havoc with your program.

If youre tired of recompiling your CGI program every time somebody wants to change the HTML, you need to check out templates. Libtemplate is an easy to use C interface that will let you use the same sort of templates used in Lazarus applications.

Using templates in PHP and C++ has spoiled me. So when I started developing applications in C, I went hunting for a templating library that I could use again. I didnt find it, so after developing in a mixture of C for my lowlevel routines and C++ for my interface, I finally broke down and wrote a templating engine in C.
