Free share computer files software for linux

Open Computer Vision Library is a collection of algorithms and sample code for various computer vision problems. The library is compatible with IPL (Intel Image Processing Library) and utilizes Intel Integrated Performance Primitives for better performance.

Philosophy

Aid commercial uses of computer vision in human-computer interface, robotics, monitoring, biometrics and security by providing a free and open infrastructure where the distributed efforts of the vision community can be consolidated and performance optimized.

list files package prints to file list of files in a given directory.
Handy if youd like to, say, tell a friend of yours what ebooks you have, and wouldnt feel like typing them all by hand.

INSTALLATION
i assume youve got everything in its standard places; otherwise you probably know what to do anyway.
to install for one user
copy listFiles.desktop to ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus
copy listFiles.sh to /usr/local/bin or elsewhere in the path
to install for all users
copy listFiles.desktop to /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus
copy listFiles.sh to /usr/local/bin or elsewhere in the path
Enhancements:
- added counting the number of items
- added the possibility to change the place where the listing is written to
- some minor changes to the code

Sharehound is a file systems indexer and Google-like searcher. Sharehound project currently supports SMB file shares (i.e. MS Windows-based network shares are supported). The Web UI is used for search and crawl monitoring.
Files and directories are indexed and searched by their paths and some other external attributes, not contents. Historical data (deleted files and offline hosts information) is indexed, which allows you to have full-fledged RSS notifications about added, changed, and deleted files in search results.

- RSS notification about files of interest, e.g. new music at given computer, set of computers or the whole net (not implemented yet - queued) FTP server search and changes notification companion. I think this could be interesting for FTP site owners (not implemented yet - queued) RSS notification for updates in version control system. I work at software development company (we use Perforce) and I know some collegues of mine who miss this thing (me too!), so possibly Ill get a chance to implement it at working hours. Seems like some commercial systems (Im thinking about FishEye, but even they still have no Perforce support!) have this feature but they are commercial.

Whamb Sharing Protocol Daemon (WSD) is a perl script that allows you to share MP3 or OGG on a Unix/Linux or windows system.WSD needs perl 5.7.3 or later (5.8.0 recommended) and some modules (HTML::Entities, Encode, MP3::Info), you will find any instructions you need in the readme, so please read it ! WSD also needs RendezVous from Apple, its opensource and runs on lots of platform including linux/*BSD/Windows/Solaris and all Posix OSes

Installation is simple but depends by your operating system:
make os=linux on linux
make os=opensd on openbsd
make os=osx on macosx
make os=solaris on solaris

if you are running NetBSD or FreeBSD edit the makefile you will see:

You may also want to copy mDNSResponderPosix to your /usr/bin directory

Computer Temperature Monitor is a little applet for the GNOME desktop that shows the temperature of your computer CPU and disks on screen. Computer Temperature Monitor also allows you to log temperatures to a file.
You can set alarms to notify you when a tempertature is reached. Several monitors can be added to the panel to monitor different sensors. It is designed to look like the CPU Frequency Gnome applet. This applet used to be called Laptop Temperature Monitor.
Enhancements:
- The way the temperature file is read has been changed to fix a bug in some modules (acpi, ibm_acpi, i8k, and omnibook).
- Support has been added for Apple G5 computers (windfarm sensors).
- Support has been added for dynamic log filenames using patterns.
- A bug that prevented the icon from appearing sometimes has been fixed.
- A GConf key has been added for showing debug information in the applet tooltip.
- A Simplified Chinese translation has been added.
- Support has been added to change the logging timeout.
- There are some bugfixes.
