Excalibur: Morganas Revenge 3.0
Excalibur: Morganas Revenge is a first-person action adventure game using the Aleph One (Marathon) engine. more>>
Excalibur: Morganas Revenge (EMR) is a unique scenario based upon the Aleph One (Marathon) engine. It is a first-person action adventure game, featuring an epic and in-depth story line. As a Federation Marine resting after your last mission, you start aboard the exploration class Starship Kronos where you learn that your real mission has yet to begin. You are re-acquainted with the AI Merlin, who introduces you to Kronos time traveling technology, and reveals your new mission: to save mankind from the clutches of Morgana and her minions. Through untamed raptor-infested jungles, castle arenas, and war-torn streets of the future, you will wield weapons from all time periods - including the Sword of Power, Excalibur - in an effort to thwart the diabolical plot that unfolds. The EMR adventure, spread across 42 solo levels, weaves a tale of truth and honor, knighthood and bravery, and darkness and treachery. EMR also delivers 27 adrenaline pumped network levels. EMR immerses you in an amazing new world, creating an addictive, fun and unique gaming experience.
For those that played EMR under the old Marathon Infinity engine, EMR 3.0 brings exciting new maps, new high resolution textures and landscapes, a completely new set of weapons, new monsters and friends, new scenery, new 16-bit sounds, original music, and a carefully woven original story line that transcends time. Using the Aleph One engine, EMR now sports loads of new special features using Aleph Ones MML and Lua scripting languages. Please note that the AlephOne engine is old technology improved. Architecture is still simulated 3D, so there are no ramps, bridges, and balconies, nor horizontal doors. The sprites in EMR are made up of 2D images posed in different views, not 3D models. Do not expect the latest state-of-the-art graphics engine, but you can expect an intriguing storyline, creative map architectures, engaging graphics, original spellbinding music, and mood-setting sound effects.

Solunas Hotel Management 2.0.1
Solunas Hotel Management helps the user manage small to medium-sized hotels, holiday flats, guest houses, or car rentals. more>>
Solunas Hotel Management helps the user manage small to medium-sized hotels, holiday flats, guest houses, or car rentals.
The Solunas Booking Engine Software is aimed at Hotels and Holiday Homes of between 1 to 150 units who are seeking to market their accomodation over the internet.
Because the trend in online bookings has remained constant/continues to grow, experience shows this system to be well liked by customers with growth in orders extending into the double digits. It is also noteworthy that private landlords providing from 1 to 50 units have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the latest technology.
The Solunas.org central portal tasks itself, through a worldwide volunteer effort, to create an alternative Booking-Platform to rival commercial product offerings.
The end user has two methods to reserve his accomodation. Firstly, a visual reservations calendar displaying room availability, offers the customer direct booking online by mouse-click.
The second method, offering a manual selecction of the booking period and number of persons, involves a list of available units or groups can, likewise, be booked directly online. Details of the total price and last minute bargains are generated straight from the system.
The booking path, known internally as Bookflow, can be modified for very individual requirements.

xmms-cueinfo 0.2.0
xmms-cueinfo is a plugin for XMMS that adds support for reading cue files. more>>
xmms-cueinfo is a plugin for XMMS that adds support for reading cue files. Cue files describe what tracks a single audio file contains, including performer and title information.
This makes it possible to rip a full CD into a single audio file. (The reason people do this is because of the audible gaps that occur when the software switches between two files.
However, these gaps are generally shorter in unix-based operating systems than in Windows due to the simpler file I/O subsystem. There are also no-gap plugins for many players now, so there arent really any good reasons for ripping CDs like this nowadays.) xmms-cueinfo also makes it easy to seek to each track mentioned in the cue file.

shorten 3.6.0
shorten is a fast, low complexity waveform coder (i.e. audio compressor), originally written by Tony Robinson at SoftSound. more>>
shorten is a fast, low complexity waveform coder (i.e. audio compressor), originally written by Tony Robinson at SoftSound. It can operate in both lossy and lossless modes. More information can be found here.
The last official version released by Tony was 2.3a. In the fall of 2000, I started hacking on the code to add unix support for seek tables, which Wayne Stielau had developed and implemented for the Windows platform. With his help, I was able to release version 3.0 on 9/29/2000, and have maintained the unix 3.x versions ever since. Seek tables allow one to seek through a .shn file in real-time while playing it in various audio players.
Here are some of plugins that support seek tables:
xmms-shn (for XMMS)
ShnAmp (for WinAmp)
foo_shn (for foobar2000)
in_shn (for J River Media Jukebox/Center)
Shorten plugin (for MacAmp Lite X - now defunct)
Enhancements:
- Fixed a seek table bug which, in rare cases, caused seek tables for certain files (e.g. ones that end with silence) to be generated incorrectly. Seek tables created with the -k, -s or -S options are not affected. To help distinguish older, possibly buggy seek tables from newer ones, the seek table revision number has been bumped from 0 to 1. Thanks to Peter Kunath for the report and the fix.
- Updated the -i option to determine whether a file is an external seek table file, a file with seek tables appended, or neither. If seek tables are present, the seek table revision number is now shown.

Nemiver 0.4.0
Nemiver is an project to write a standalone graphical debugger that integrates well in the GNOME desktop environment. more>>
Nemiver is an project to write a standalone graphical debugger that integrates
well in the GNOME desktop environment. The project currently features a backend which uses the well known GNU Debugger gdb.
General
- In addition to the toolbar buttons, you can toggle breakpoints simply by clicking in the margin on the line you want to break on.
- hovering over a variable name for longer than 1 second should show its value as a tooltip window if the variable is in scope
Sessions
Nemiver uses an sqlite database to store basic information about a debugging
session so you can resume where you left off last time. Whenever you start
debugging, a new session is created for you automatically (unless you explicitly
request to resume an existing session).
On exit, your session will automatically be saved. Information saved with your session includes breakpoints, program arguments, working directory path, environment variables, etc. Additionally, you can save the current session to the database on demand by selecting File > Save Session to Disk.
To resume a previously saved debugging session, you can either specify the
session ID to the --executesession command line option or select File > Saved
Sessions... > [select session] from the User interface.
Source Directories
Some versions of the GDB debugger dont provide full pathname information for breakpoints, etc. In this case, you may need to specify which directories to search for source files. These can be specified by manually adding source directories in the Preferences dialog. In the future there will be a more explicit prompt asking the user to locate the requested file when nemiver cant determine the absolute path of a file on its own.
Extending Nemiver
Nemiver is a bit more than just a simple GUI debugger. It is actually a platform which can be extended with plugins and dynamically loaded modules. The libnemivercommon library provides the basic functionality for loading dynamic modules and enabling the plugin architecture of Nemiver. You can create additional plugins for nemiver, and you can even create entirely new perspectives for the nemiver workbench.
Currently, only the debugging perspective is provided, but others could be added in the future (e.g. a perspective for profiling tools such as oprofile, valgrind / massif, etc).
Nemiver also provides an event-based debugger library (which currently features a gdb backend, but others could be added in the future) that could be re-used by other projects seeking to implement a debugger as a part of an IDE, for example.

XPilotNG 4.7.2
XPilotNG is the mother of all 2D team based space games. more>>
XPilotNG is the mother of all 2D team based space games.
XPilot NG is a multiplayer spacewar game based on the mother of all computer games: XPilot - one of the highest rated games on the linux game tome.
Xpilot is a 2D game which can be played in many modes, each man for himself, team games with carry the flag mode, a racing mode, or all out warfare with complex items such as nukes, ecm, heat seeking and smart missiles, armor, tractor beams, afterburners, warping and many more. Items are collected as powerups. Mouse or keyboard can be used to control the ship. most popular currently is team based games which involved alot of quick thinking and strategy.
XPilot NG improves XPilot in several areas. The most important improvement is the support for a new polygon based map format. The new map format allows the use of arbitrary polygons to define walls and other map constructs. Old block style maps are also supported: the server converts them to polygons automatically to take advantage of the improved wall collision detection code. Legacy XPilot clients are also supported even on new polygon maps. The server can approximate wall polygons using blocks although the approximation is not always very accurate (for obvious reasons).
XPilot NG improves the XPilot code base by removing lots of old hacks and generally cleaning up things to make further improvements easier. This clean up has made it possible for the XPilot NG development team to create a new SDL/OpenGL based client that shares much of the code and functionality of the original X client. The SDL/OpenGL client is quite usable and is tested to work on Linux, Windows and MacOS X platforms. Also, last but not least, it looks quite pretty.
Enhancements:
- SDL client: Fixed some memory leaks, e.g. one for HUD messages.
- SDL client: Texture bug fixes, should fix the bug in 4.7.1 where the ship is painted as a white box on some machines.
- Server: Put back the old behaviour that dropped mines are immune to gravity. Explanation is that they are "anchored" to the map the same way as the walls are.
- Server: New option ballCollisionDetaches (default false): Does a ball get freed by a collision with a player?
- Replays: A fix so that big old recordings dont slow down to a crawl.
- Replays: Possibility to jump forward in a recording by pressing number keys: the number pressed tells how many minutes to forward.
- Several other improvements

Accelerated KNOPPIX is a fast-booting variant of the popular KNOPPIX live CD.
The mechanism of acceleration in the live CD
A cloop profiler is developed in order to grasp the access situation of CD.
Although various files are referred to in Live CD in the case of a system startup, since each position of media is dotted with the file, a lot of seeking will generate it at the time of reading. If the seek time of this CD is lost, it will be said that data can be transmitted at a stretch from CD. Then, the seek time of a pickup is reduced by rearranging the file read at the time of starting on a block level.
Live CD performs automatic recognition of the peripheral equipment of PC at the boot sequence.
Although the cache of the file required for starting of a desktop are predicted and carried out in the meantime, if there are few memories which can be used for cache, starting will become slow conversely. By this development, memory capacity is examining making it an effect show up at least because the predicted data carries out the cache of the compression image of cloop as it is.

KleanSweep 0.2.9
KleanSweep allows you to reclaim disk space by finding unneeded files. more>>
KleanSweep allows you to reclaim disk space by finding unneeded files. KleanSweep can search for files basing on several criterias.
You can seek for:
- empty files
- backup files
- broken symbolic links
- dead menu entries (.desktop files pointing to non-existing executables)
- duplicated files
- orphaned files (files not found in RPM database)
- obsolete thumbnails (thumbnails conforming to freedesktop.org standard, pointing to non-existing images
Planned features:
- seeking for orphaned files in Debian and Gentoo (portage) databases
- seeking for empty directories
- seeking for unused locales
- options for setting include/exclude paths, file extensions etc.
- and more!
KleanSweep consists of KDE-based (C++) graphical frontend and small helper Perl script that performs actual searching.
All searches, except for orphaned files, duplicates and dead menu entries are as fast as usual find would be. KleanSweep requires KDE libraries and Perl.
Note: I take no responsibility for any damage caused by this program.
Enhancements:
- Removed "greedy match" button
- added Italian, German, Spanish and Portugaese translations

SIAR 0.01
SIAR (Simple IP Account Reporter) is a plug-in for pmacct (Promiscuous Mode IP Accounting Package). more>>
SIAR (Simple IP Account Reporter) is a plug-in for pmacct (Promiscuous Mode IP Accounting Package) for creating specific reports of traffic on a LAN.
SIAR plugin creates an overview of the total of traffic that passed through the interface, a top protocol table, a top listener table, a top talkers table, a total situation table, seek for an IP source, seek for an IP destination, seek for both, a top conversation table and a graph for a specific day
Installation:
After you have download the file, you have to decompress it in the web-server folder. I suggest to decompress it in /var/www/, infact if you decompress it in an another you will have problems with the code.
cd /var/www/
tar xfz < name >-x-y-z.tar.gz
cd < name >-x-y-z.tar.gz
The tool is now installed. Read the CONFIG file for the configuration.

Internet Chess ToolKit 0.2
Internet Chess ToolKit project is a Java library for chess with PGN, FEN, SAN, and ICS (FICS, ICC) support. more>>
Internet Chess ToolKit project is a Java library for chess with PGN, FEN, SAN, and ICS (FICS, ICC) support.
Internet Chess ToolKit is a Java-based set of libraries and widgets useful for performing common tasks such as reading SAN (internationalized), FEN, PGN, generating legal moves, and connection to Internet Chess Servers (FICS).
The purpose of the Internet Chess ToolKit is to provide an extensible library to facilitate the development of internet server clients, bots, training programs, peer-to-peer players, and and various other programs useful for the game player. The library was designed with a high level of abstraction and utilization of object oriented design patterns to make it extensible; The model set up should allow for implementations of many games besides Chess, which is the main focus of this library.
Such other games might include chess variants like BugHouse, or completely different games like scrabble and the Chinese game of Go. Another goal of the library is ease of use. A lot of effort has gone into comprehensive documentation and providing sensible names for methods, as well as providing many convenience methods.
Main features:
- FICS support (limited)
- legal move generation.
- game history with variation support (alternative move suggestions).
- move comment support in text and Numeric Annotation Glyphs (NAG).
- Standard Algebraic Notation (SAN) read/write support (internationalized for presentation in 16 languages).
- Portable Game Notation (PGN) read/write support (including move variations, and FEN).
- Forsyth-Edwards Notation (FEN) read/write support.
- True MVC structure with board displays driven by game model events.
- Command-line Board display (GUI to come).
- Well documented. Sample code also provided.
Enhancements:
- Limited FICS support style12, match request, kibitz, whisper, say, tell, channel tell, shout, c/t/-shout, emote, move list, pin, gin, seek ads, seek remove, seek clear, game results
- Timeseal support
- XSLT java code generation for ICS events
- Sample ICS Client
- PGN bugs fixed

Suspend2 2.2
Suspend2 allows you to hibernate your machine without needing APM, BIOS, or ACPI support. more>>
Suspend2 allows you to hibernate your machine without needing APM, BIOS, or ACPI support.
Suspend2 creates an image that is saved in your active swap partitions, swap files, ordinary files or (soon) across a network.
At the next system boot, the kernel detects the saved image, restores the memory from it and then it continues to run as if youd never powered down.
Enhancements:
- Since 2.2-rc12, there have been further bug fixes and a few enhancements.
- The software is now in feature freeze, getting prepared for seeking to merge into the vanilla kernel.
