Swiftweasel 2.0.0.6.1

Swiftweasel 2.0.0.6.1

Swiftweasel project is an optimized build of the Mozilla Firefox web browser for Linux. more>>
Swiftweasel project is an optimized build of the Mozilla Firefox web browser for Linux. With builds for both AMD and Intel processors. Swiftweasel is 100% compatible with all Firefox themes, plugins, and extensions.
The builds will also fall into 3 versions.
1. Releases - Releases are based on versions of Firefox released by Mozilla. The current release is 2.0.0.3.
2. Branch - The branch is where minor fixes and security enhancements are worked on. The current branch is 1.8.1 (2.0.0.4 pre) witch will become the 2.0.0.4 version upon release. The code in the branch while not quite ready for release has had more testing done to it and is much more stable than the trunk.
3. Trunk - This is where development for Firefox 3 is being done. Its development name is Minefield to give you an idea of how stable it is. It is on the cutting edge and should be expected to have bugs.
At present the available Swiftweasel versions are 2.0.0.4 (Release) and 3.0a5 (Trunk). A release of the new 2.0.0.5pre (Branch) should be avilable in a few days.
Enhancements:
- SVG support has been re-enabled.

Traffic Statistics Linux Server 1.2.0.0

Traffic Statistics Linux Server 1.2.0.0

IP traffic statistics and bandwidth usage reporting cut by host and service more>> The MZL & Novatech Traffic Statistics Linux Server is intended to run in servers in intranet or on a gateway and allows to view the Linux servers network usage information on Windows workstations as HTML reports. It reads IP packet from libpcap and allows users of the free Windows client to see the amount of bandwidth consumed as an icon in the system tray.
The user is able to see which hosts, services or ports were the top traffic consumers. MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic works on IP packet level, therefore the user gets reports on all the traffic, regardless wether this traffic was made by a browser, a filesharing software or a secure connection. It contains an editor for specification of local addresses and ports to be captured or not captured. This allows to capture traffic to a proxy or VPN but exclude the rest of local traffic.
MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic can be useful for many diffrent people:
- broadband (like DSL or cable) users with a volume metered (bandwidth limited) charge plan have always an eye on the currently accumulated consumed traffic.
- internet users with a flatrate can see whether a cheaper metered charge plan might be appropriate for their consumption habbits
- internet users are able to see, which services cause the most traffic
- internet users are able to see, how much traffic was consumed with their top target hosts
- operators of dedicated servers in a bandwidth metered charge plan get up-to-date statistics
- network operators can see bandwidth consumption cut by host and service of all machines in the local net
MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic contains an IP detail record (IPDR) generator developed on basis of ACE. MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic has be installed with administrator privilegues.
It is distributed as binaries for Linux with lib_c like Redhat 9, Suse 9 or Debian Sarge. The Traffic Statistics Windows client is needed to configure the Linux Server.

MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic Linux Server 1.2.0.0

MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic Linux Server 1.2.0.0

The MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic Linux Server collects IP usage statistics from the network interfaces. more>>
The MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic Linux Server collects IP usage statistics from the network interfaces of the system on which it is installed. It will store the IP data records, and the Traffic Statistic Report Service will create HTML reports from these records.

The MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic Linux Server program can be installed on a Linux machine to collect IP usage statistics from their interfaces. The Traffic Statistics Linux Server will store the IP data records on the Linux machine and the Traffic Statistic Report Service will form the HTML reports Traffic Statistics Linux Server starting from the records. For configuration it is needed to have the Windows GUI installed on another machine, that connects via HTTP to the Linux machine.

The intended usecase is the bandwidth usage monitoring of a Linux gateway to the internet or a VPN peer in an environment of Windows workstations. When installed once properly on the Linux gateway, the Traffic Statistics Linux Server can be configured with the Windows GUI from any client in the network and the statistics can also be viewed using the Windows GUI.

As Linux is a powerful and secure networking OS with features like traffic shaping and rule based packet mangling, there are many reasons to run a Linux gateway even when using otherwise Windows clients for other typical office or industrial applications. The Traffic Statistics server allows administrators or managers to get detailed IP network usage statistics on IP packet level broken down by day, host and service at their Windows workstations. The program is free of charge, free of adware and free of any time or functional limitation. Without having any plugin or upgrade installed it will help users to make wise decisions in the selecting of an appropriate volume tariff model, it allows to monitor volume consumption comfortably in tray in almost realtime so that users are always aware, how far they are from a volume tariffs limit and it shows, which hosts and servers consumed the most traffic in the current period.

We also provide powerful plugins for the Linux server, which make MZL & Novatech TrafficStatistic even more interesting and efficient for monitoring volume consumption on a company level.
