sudoku-perl is a Sudoku player that offers a board, assistance, and solving using a (text based) ANSI screen. sudoku-perl offers a simple alphanumeric board display that supports the 9x9 matrix.

It does not generate a Sudoku puzzle; for this, the user must look on the Internet, newspapers, Sudoku booklets, etc. and take over the sudoku initial setting from there.

However, it assists the user in solving the Sudoku by providing some functions, up to and including solving the Sudoku from the current board setting.

SDL Vexed 0.6

SDL Vexed 0.6

SDL Vexed is a puzzle game written in Perl-SDL. more>>
SDL Vexed project is a puzzle game written in Perl-SDL.

Vexed is an addictive (and written in Perl) puzzle game in which your goal is to move similar blocks together, which causes them to disappear. Once all the blocks are gone, youve solved the level and youre presented with a new Vexed level to solve.

In Vexed you have to move blocks by putting the mouse on them and dragging (using mouse button) to either the right or left. If an empty space is encountered, "gravity" takes over and the blocks fall towards the bottom.

Scoring is based on a golf-like "par" concept. The Vexed level pack has a solution stored for each level. If you solve the level in the same number of moves as what is stored in the level pack, you get a score of 0, or par, for that level. Note that the stored solution may not be the most efficient one, so you can beat "par" and have a negative score.

The score displayed while playing is a cumulative score for the entire level pack.

Using the Solution feature adds five to your score.

Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform multimedia library. more>>
Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform multimedia library designed to provide low level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, joystick, 3D hardware via OpenGL, and 2D video framebuffer. SDL is used by MPEG playback software, emulators, and many popular games, including the award winning Linux port of "Civilization: Call To Power."
Simple DirectMedia Layer supports Linux, Windows, BeOS, MacOS Classic, MacOS X, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, BSD/OS, Solaris, IRIX, and QNX. There is also code, but no official support, for Windows CE, AmigaOS, Dreamcast, Atari, NetBSD, AIX, OSF/Tru64, RISC OS, and SymbianOS.
SDL is written in C, but works with C++ natively, and has bindings to several other languages, including Ada, Eiffel, Java, Lua, ML, Perl, PHP, Pike, Python, and Ruby.
Enhancements:
- Dynamic X11 loading is only enabled with gcc 4 supporting -fvisibility=hidden. This fixes crashes related to symbol collisions, and allows building on Solaris and IRIX.
- Fixed building SDL with Xinerama disabled.
- Fixed DRI OpenGL library loading, using RTLD_GLOBAL in dlopen().
- Added pkgconfig configuration support.

Libraries that understand the RCS file format and provide fast server-side access are a future possibility.
Enhancements:
- The ability to apply tags is now included.
- A new script, lcvs-tagbase, is included to apply a base tag to existing branches.

C-Dogs SDL Port 0.4

C-Dogs SDL Port 0.4

C-Dogs is an arcade shoot-em-up which lets players work alone and co-operativly during missions. more>>
C-Dogs SDL is a port of the old DOS arcade game C-Dogs to modern operating systems utilising the SDL Media Libraries. In theory C-Dogs SDL should be able to run on Windows, MacOS X, BeOS and the other systems supported by SDL.

Genererally, the more UNIX like a system is, the greater the chance of C-Dogs working (MacOS X and BeOS people, I mean you guys).

C-Dogs SDL was ported to SDL by Jeremy Chin and Lucas Martin-King, using Gentoo Linux as their development environment.

C-Dogs is an arcade shoot-em-up which lets players work alone and co-operativly during missions, and against each other in the "dogfight" deathmatch mode. The DOS version of C-Dogs came with several built in missions and dogfight maps, this version is no exception.

The author of the DOS version of C-Dogs was Ronny Wester. See the "official" homepage for more details. We would like to thank him for releasing the C-Dogs sources to the public.

Code::Perl 0.03

Code::Perl 0.03

Code::Perl is a Perl module to produce Perl code from a tree. more>>
Code::Perl is a Perl module to produce Perl code from a tree.

SYNOPSIS

use Code::Perl::Expr qw( :easy );

my $c = derefh(scal(hash), calls(getkey));

print $c->perl; # ($hash)->{getkey()}

Code::Perl allows you to build chunks of Perl code as a tree and then when youre finished building, the tree can output the Perl code. This is useful if you have built your own mini-language and you want to generate Perl from it. Rather than generating the Perl at parse time and having to worry about quoting, escaping, parenthese etc, you can just build a tree using Code::Perl and then dump out the correct Perl at the end.
