conTEXT is an amaroK script that looks for text or html files in the playing directory and inserts them in a new manageable box into the context browser.
I hope you dont expect too much of a script thats named almost like a tab in amaroK but there already are some ideas to extend its functionality...
Usage:
Scrolling: Left-click an arrow to speed up. Right-click to jump a page up/down. You can also use standard konqueror controls: Shift+ArrowKeys for scrolling, Alt+Mousewheel for horizontal scrolling, Ctrl+Mousewheel for zooming.
Drag the lower box border to resize the box, drag the box header to change its position.
Enhancements:
- fixed fast scrolling for new khtml versions; fixed playlouder.com; fixed rollingstone display; fixed plattentests.de referenzen

XML From Plain Text (xfpt) is a program that reads a file of plain text that contains relatively simple markup, and outputs an XML file. It is intended to simplify the management of XML data.
The project is not a program that attempts to turn a plain text document into XML. Markup within text is introduced by ampersand characters, but is otherwise "soft". You can define what follows the ampersand, for example, &" to generate a "quote" element. There is also a macro facility that allows for higher level concepts such as chapters, displays, tables, etc.
Enhancements:
- The macro library has been extended to include preface, appendix, colophon, footnote, figure, and table.
- The program has one new directive to enable it to handle "nested" sections such as footnotes.

HyperLinked Text 0.1.1

HyperLinked Text project is a Wiki-esque text file format and accompanying viewer. more>>
HyperLinked Text project is a Wiki-esque text file format and accompanying viewer.

HyperLinked Text (Hylt) is both a file format and a viewer for that format.

It uses (almost) flat text files to generate a Wiki-style database of hyperlinked pages, without either the complex markup of HTML or the esoteric database formats in which most Wikis store data.

It is geared towards users who desire a minimal interface between them and their data or like to store their data in formats which can be meaningfully stored in version control systems.

It was developed originally to match both of those goals, specifically for individuals writing fiction and wishing to track inter-character and inter-location relationships.

Prima::TextView 1.20

Prima::TextView 1.20

Prima::TextView is a rich text browser widget. more>>
Prima::TextView is a rich text browser widget.

Prima::TextView accepts blocks of formatted text, and provides basic functionality - scrolling and user selection. The text strings are stored as one large text chunk, available by the ::text and ::textRef properties. A block of a formatted text is an array with fixed-length header and the following instructions.

A special package tb:: provides the block constants and simple functions for text block access.

Capabilities

Prima::TextView is mainly the text block functions and helpers. It provides function for wrapping text block, calculating block dimensions, drawing and converting coordinates from (X,Y) to a block position. Prima::TextView is centered around the text functionality, and although any custom graphic of arbitrary complexity can be embedded in a text block, the internal coordinate system is used ( TEXT_OFFSET, BLOCK ), where TEXT_OFFSET is a text offset from the beginning of a block and BLOCK is an index of a block.

The functionality does not imply any text layout - this is up to the class descendants, they must provide they own layout policy. The only policy Prima::TextView requires is that blocks BLK_TEXT_OFFSET field must be strictly increasing, and the block text chunks must not overlap. The text gaps are allowed though.

A text block basic drawing function includes change of color, backColor and font, and the painting of text strings. Other types of graphics can be achieved by supplying custom code.

SYNOPSIS
use WebService::GoogleHack::Text;

#create an object of type Text

my $text = GoogleHack::Text->new();

# returns an hash words

%results=$text->getWords("file location");

# returns an hash of 3 word sentences

%results=$text->getSentences("file location", 3);

# this function reads the configuration file

%results=$text->readConfig("location of configuration file");

#removes HTML tags

%results=$text->removeHTML("string");

This is a simple Text processing package which aids GoogleHack and Rate modules. Given a file of words, it retreives the words in the file and stores it in a simple hash format. In addition, given a file of text, it can also form n word sentences.

OpenDocument Text Library for creating OpenDocument text files. more>>
There are some interesting projects (OpenDocumentPHP, OpenDocument Fellowship) around the creation of OpenDocument Text from a Web-application.

Thus far none of these projects yielded a result to create an OpenDocument Text. Therefore - and inspired by an article in the German cumuter magasin ct - I desiced to implement a libary that takes a template document and adds some to it.

XML::DOM::Text 1.44

XML::DOM::Text 1.44

XML::DOM::Text is a piece of XML text in XML::DOM. more>>
XML::DOM::Text is a piece of XML text in XML::DOM.

XML::DOM::Text extends XML::DOM::CharacterData, which extends XML::DOM::Node.

The Text interface represents the textual content (termed character data in XML) of an Element or Attr. If there is no markup inside an elements content, the text is contained in a single object implementing the Text interface that is the only child of the element. If there is markup, it is parsed into a list of elements and Text nodes that form the list of children of the element.

When a document is first made available via the DOM, there is only one Text node for each block of text. Users may create adjacent Text nodes that represent the contents of a given element without any intervening markup, but should be aware that there is no way to represent the separations between these nodes in XML or HTML, so they will not (in general) persist between DOM editing sessions. The normalize() method on Element merges any such adjacent Text objects into a single node for each block of text; this is recommended before employing operations that depend on a particular document structure, such as navigation with XPointers.

METHODS

splitText (offset)

Breaks this Text node into two Text nodes at the specified offset, keeping both in the tree as siblings. This node then only contains all the content up to the offset point. And a new Text node, which is inserted as the next sibling of this node, contains all the content at and after the offset point.

Parameters: offset The offset at which to split, starting from 0.

Return Value: The new Text node.

DOMExceptions:

INDEX_SIZE_ERR

Raised if the specified offset is negative or greater than the number of characters in data.

NO_MODIFICATION_ALLOWED_ERR

Raised if this node is readonly.

Common Text Transformation Library 2.08

Common Text Transformation Library 2.08

Common Text Transformation Library is a C++ parser generator library. more>>
Common Text Transformation Library, CTTL for short, is a set of C++ classes and functions to understand and modify text data. Common Text Transformation Library implementation is based on STL classes and algorithms.
Concept of a substring plays major role in design of the text transformation library. CTTL substring is an object that interacts with fragments of text encapsulated by STL std::basic_string template class.
Template classes cttl::const_edge and cttl::edge, designed for constant and mutable data access, respectively, represent CTTL substrings. Substrings may be compared, inserted, deleted, or replaced across multiple text inputs. If content of text mutates, the substrings adjust their positions accordingly to the change. CTTL guarantees that substrings remain stable with respect to a potentially mutable text.
Within CTTL framework, a substring may be parsed with EBNF-like grammar. CTTL lexical analysis engine generates a stream of substrings corresponding to the parsed symbols. BNF and EBNF grammars can be written directly in C++.
Template meta-programming and operator overloading offer features to write C++ expressions that describe grammar rules. No additional steps of parsing, compiling, or generating source code are required. Compiled CTTL program implements LL(INF)-parser, the recursive-descent parser with infinite lookahead.
Enhancements:
- This release focuses on documentation enhancements, which include multiple documentation improvements and revisions.
- An alphabetical index of all CTTL facilities was added: http://cttl.sourceforge.net/documentation_idx.html.
