Script Promotion Wizard 2.5
Script Promotion Wizard is a tool that can be added to a Web site to help manage script promotion. more>>
Script Promotion Wizard is a free online tool you can add to your web site or use on your local server to add your script to script directories.
Since an automated solution to script promotion is probably impossible due to the lack of a standard submission process for script directories, we came up with what we think is the next best thing.
Main features:
- Easy to install. Just unzip and upload, or if youre using it on a local server, just unzip!
- Save program profiles for later use.
- Completely customizable! Add new scripts to promote through simple XML interface.
- Add new script directories to the Script Promotion Wizard by adding a simple entry into an XML file.
- Copying and pasting values into the online forms is as easy as we could possibly make it. You only have to click, copy, click and paste. No messy highlighting required.
- Best of all, Script Promotion Wizard is completely free!

The UNIX Man Slak Paks 0.5
The UNIX Man Slak Paks is a Slackware package creation framework. more>>
This is a collection of scripts which is used to manage the creation of Slackware packages. This framework is designed to make it easy to add packages to the collection and to easily tweak package parameters for testing and deployment.
The framework currently has a lot of parameters, and also has basic frameworks for CPAN packages. It is possible to add more frameworks and tweaks for other package networks as well, such as the PHP and Python archives, and these are in the works currently.
Enhancements:
- This marks the start of the new style of build scripts. These are much more modular, and have a consistent set of shell functions and variables which work in their defaults for most situations, and can be redefined by a package file to do special setup or other functions
- which some packages may require.

Open Object Rexx 8.0
Open Object Rexx is a curses widget set for Tcl. more>>
This is an excellent widget set for Tcl which retains much of the Tk syntax, but uses curses to render the widgets in a character-cell terminal instead of X and a graphical display.
Installation
1. Type "./configure". This runs a configuration script made by GNU autoconf, which configures Ck for your system and creates a Makefile. The configure script allows you to customize the configuration to your local needs; for details how to do this, type "./configure --help" or refer to the autoconf documentation (not included here).
The following special switches are supported by "configure":
--enable-shared If this switch is specified Ck will compile itself as a shared library if configure can figure out how to do this on this platform.
--with-tcl Specifies the directory containing the Tcl binaries and Tcls platform-dependent configuration information. By default the Tcl distribution is assumed to be in "../../tcl8.0".
2. Type "make". This will create a library called "libck.a" or "libck8.0.so" and an interpreter application called "cwsh" that allows you to type Tcl commands interactively or execute scripts.
3. Type "make install" to install Cks binaries, script files, and man pages in standard places. Youll need write permission on the install directories to do this. If you plan to install the libraries, executables, and script files whitout documentation, use "make install-binaries" and "make install-libraries".
4. Now you should be able to execute "cwsh". However, if you havent installed Ck then youll need to set the CK_LIBRARY environment variable to hold the full path name of the "library" subdirectory. If Ck has been built as shared library, you have to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include the directory where "libck8.0.so" resides.
So far, Ck8.0 has been successfully tested on various Linux distributions, on FreeBSD 3.3 with manually adapted Makefile, and on Windows NT 4.0 with a modified PDCURSES library. The Ck8.0 source tree should be able to be combined with Tcl7.4, 7.5, 7.6, and 8.0. Older version of Ck (which use Tcl7.4 or Tcl7.5) are in use for several years on HP-UX, AIX, and DEC Unix.

VFU File Manager 4.05
VFU is console (text mode) file manager for UNIX/Linux. more>>
VFU is console (text mode) file manager for UNIX/Linux.
During the years I tried to make short attractive list of features which VFU has. Attractive as Advertising above :) and it does not seem to work... at least it didnt for me and I never liked it.
I made all possible to make VFU cover all file managing needs and offer large set of behaviour options. If I succeeded or not, you can decide for yourself but without trying I believe noone can say for sure.
Installation:
1. how to compile vfu
run `make from vfu base directory
this should compile everything
to compile each part of vfu manually do this:
-- go to `vslib directory
-- run `make
-- go to `vfu directory
-- run `make
if something goes wrong, check these:
-- if your `curses.h file locations is not `/usr/include/ncurses
you have to change this in the Makefile.
-- if vslib library is not in the `../vslib directory you also
have to change this in the Makefile.
2. how to install vfu
run `install script from vfu base directory
install script checks if all required files are available/built and then does this:
cp vfu/vfu rx/rx_* /usr/local/bin
cp vfu.1 /usr/local/man/man1
cp vfu.conf /usr/local/etc
3. how to install vfu manually
-- you have to copy `vfu in the `/usr/local/bin or
`/usr/bin directory and set mode to 755 `rwxr-xr-x
the owner is not significant ( root is also possible ).
-- there is preliminary man page ( vfu.1 ) which could be
copied to /usr/man/man1.
-- copy all `rx/rx_* tools to /usr/local/bin
-- install Net::FTP perl module if needed.
(this is used for FTP support)
WARNING: make sure to remove all old personal cache files!

Comment Script 1.0
Comment Script is a script that allows comments to be left on any existing PHP or HTML page. more>>
Comment Script is a script that allows comments to be left on any existing PHP or HTML page. By default, Comment Script shows name, e-mail, homepage, title, and comment fields, though any can be disabled.
The "comment" field is mandatory and must be filled out before the form can be submitted. In order to prevent the script from being abused by automatic spam bots, you can enable the CAPTCHA feature.
The script then asks your visitors to enter a text they see in the image below the comment form into an input box. It also features an admin area where comments can be edited and deleted and the front-end language set.
Main features:
- Visitors can enter a name, e-mail, homepage, comment title and comment text
- Comment script can be included in existing web pages
- To prevent comment spam you can enable the Captcha feature
- Admin area for editing and deleting comments
- Completely template driven
- Installation routine
How the script works:
Once you have the script installed on your server you can include it in any existing PHP or HTML page. By default the script shows the form fields "name", "E-mail", "Homepage", "Title", and "Comment". You are free to remove some of the fields and only leave the ones you want.
The field "Comment" is mandatory and the form will not submit until that field has been filled out.

Laughing Man Factorial 0.1
Laughing Man Factorial is the paranormal evil twin of Laughing Man. more>>
Laughing Man Factorial is the paranormal evil twin of Laughing Man. Factorial also has an unexplained superiority complex, almost exponential you might say, over the original Laughing Man which we will hence forth refer to as Junior for appeasement of currently unwarranted hoity-toity.
Like Junior it is an application for monitoring webpage changes, however it does so using the Objective-C/Cocoa framework as opposed to Java, and leverages Core Data, bindings, and value transformers to produce a smaller code footprint. Less fluff and more meat I say, more meat and less fluff.
Factorial is in a experimental state, it is not recommended that current users of Junior switch completely to this version. You can safely import your data and tinker with Factorial, but it is recommended that any data that you want to remain consistent, be done through old stable Junior.
Factorial may not be forgiving on data when upgrading from one version to the next for the next several releases, hence the adjectives paranormal and evil in the preface.
Junior Equivalent functionality
Splitbar position saved on shutdown
Categories display like junior
New Features
Drag and drop funtionality greatly enhanced
supports dragging to and from Safari and OmniWeb
Change log embedded into application and available through menu.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes several bugs, and provides several feature enhancements, bringing the Factorial branch almost up to par with the original Laughing Man.
- Most notably, a nasty Java to Objective-C, Date to NSDate porting bug in the beta was fixed.
- The beta was usable, but users had to wait a little under 3 years for each site refresh.
- This issue has been fixed in 0.1, but you must reset your data if you used the beta.
