GNU ccScript is a C++ class framework for creating a virtual machine execution system for use with and as a scripting/assembler language for state-transition driven realtime systems. The most common example of this is as the core of the scripting engine found in GNU Bayonne.

GNU ccScript uses a class hierarchy and one extends the ScriptInterp base class to create a new dialect localized for a given applications. One then binds script keywords to method calls in the derived class. This aspect of GNU ccScript resembles in C++ the process of how one might localize tcl.

GNU ccScript is intended for use where step execution is important, and where each step is in response to a callback event or a state machine transition. It offers deterministic execution and low overhead so that many concurrent instances can be running together.

GNU ccScript can execute text files which form the basis of a script language. However, in addition to offering step machine execution, GNU ccScript loads all scripts into an active image at once. This is for performance, as all operations in the script system, to assure deterministic execution, are in memory.

GNU ccScript also offers the ability to load new scripts in-mass. Existing active sessions operate on the currently loaded scripts, and new sessions are offered the new script. When the last active session on an old script set completes, the entire script set is flushed from memory. This enables one to operate scripted servers like GNU Bayonne without downtime to rebuild script images in memory.

GNU ccScript is derived from and requires the use of GNU Common C++. ccscript 3 is not a stand-alone class library.

smsjoker-script is a script to send SMS over the SMS-Script-Gateway of http://www.smsjoker.de/
I use it to send SMS out of kaddressbook in KDE 3.5.x with:
smsjoker-script "%N" "%F"
An other interesting usage is to send an text (like "Merry Christmas and a happy new Year") to every number in an textfile.
Usage: /Path/to/the/script/smsjoker [Options] [Destination] [Text]
If you enter [Destination] you must also enter [Text]
[Destination] can be an number or the path to an textfile with numbers on each line
[Text] can be the SMS-Text or the path to an textfile with the SMS-text in it
If you dont give Destination and Text you come to the interactive-mode

-t [eigen|anonym] eigen shows your own Cellphone-Number as sender not an standard-one
-d Go to Debug-Mode
-p Enforce Popups

ESP Ghostscript project is a customized version of GPL Ghostscript that includes an enhanced autoconf-based configuration script, the CUPS raster driver to support CUPS raster printer drivers, and additional patches and drivers from various Linux distributors.

Movie2XviD is a script for encoding a DVD or other movie to AVI (XviD).
Auto computing bitrate and hight quality, but it is a little slowly.

Script for a multi-homed firewall is an example IPTables 1.2.1 script for a dual-homed firewall.

## User-defined Chains ##

Chain KEEP_STATE
The KEEP_STATE chain holds a few rules for generic stateful packet filtering.
This chain is called from many of the INPUT/OUTPUT chains to DROP "INVALID"
and perhaps "UNCLEAN" packets and allow other packets from "RELATED" or
"ESTABLISHED" connections.

CHECK_FLAGS
The CHECK_FLAGS chain contains a few rules to filter based on TCP flags.
These rules do indeed filter mainly bogus/malicious traffic(scans, etc). It
would be a good idea to keep an eye on what these rules send to the logs.
Null scans are also logged and dropped, in the mangle table.

DENY_PORTS
The DENY_PORTS chains contains a few rules to DROP and/or LOG packets based
on the source and/or destination port number of the packet.

Packets destined to/from the following ports are dropped by default in the script. These are just some examples of some commonly used ports that certain daemons/trojans/DDoS agents may utilize.

These are just examples to stare at. They guarantee no real protection against the associated trojans.

ALLOW_PORTS
The ALLOW_PORTS chain simply ACCEPTs packets based on port number. If you have
a default FORWARD policy of DROP, then you would need to utilize a chain like
this if you are DNATing/routing connections behind the firewall or perhaps
running services on(!!!) the firewall.

ALLOW_ICMP
The ALLOW_ICMP chains simply allows packets based on ICMP type. Currently
the firewall allows the flow of the following ICMP types:
Echo Reply (pong)
Destination Unreachable
Echo Request (ping)
TTL Exceeded (traceroute)

SRC_EGRESS && DST_EGRESS
The SRC_EGRESS and DST_EGRESS chains filter packets that have a source or
destination IP address matching an array of private or reserved subnets.

TOS_OUTPUT
The TOS_OUTPUT chain exists in the mangle table and mangles the TOS(Type
of Service) field in the IP header of locally generated, outgoing packets.

TOS_PREROUTING
The TOS_PREROUTING chain exists in the mangle table and mangles the TOS(Type
of Service) field in the IP header of packets being routed through the firewall.

The following user-defined chains are pretty obvious. The firewall script is designed to have a user-defined INPUT and OUTPUT chain for every available interface. From these user-defined chains are called the user-defined chains
mentioned above, which I call "Special Chains". The chains below are then called by the built-in INPUT/OUTPUT/FORWARD chains. This isnt really the rule, of course, alot of the user-defined chains mentioned above are called directly from the built-in INPUT/OUTPUT/FORWARD chains. This is done to assure proper flow of the packets through the filters.

Functions:

- It sends the title of the song being played to an Icecast server.
- It can start your Icecast server and Darkice on amaroK starting
