pscal 1.16
pscal is a shell script to create PostScript calendars. more>>
pscal is a Bourne shell script that produces simple, nice-looking PostScript calendars.
The PostScript code is sent to stdout, so either pipe it to your printer or redirect it to a file.
Version restrictions:
- `Pscal doesnt work for months before 1753. (Weird stuff happened in September, 1752.) It also wont work right as of January 1, 9600. (Bump up the epoch date if you want it to.)
- A better format for the dates of holidays would be nice.
- An escape to allow holiday messages to be raw PostScript would also be nice.
- The holiday messages should be handled more intelligently (i.e., the messages should be clipped to the day).
- Some of the message translations are incomplete.
Enhancements:
- added %%Orientation comment to the prolog (thanks to Ken Pizzini < ken@gnu.org >)
- added Slovak translation and .holiday file (thanks to M.F. PSIkappa < psi@platon.atlantis.sk >)
- added Russian translation (thanks to Alexei A. Gaidioukov < lexey@cda.ipmce.su >) released by Mark Hanson 2005-01-01, mbh@panix.com

Vortaro 1.0
Vortaro is an Esperanto Dictionary and Parser. more>>
Vortaro is an Esperanto Dictionary and Parser.
Ive been working on a simple Esperanto dictionary, and this is the first release of it. It is licensed under the GPL. It was written in C++ using the QT4 GUI toolkit and it uses an embedded SQLite database to store the vocabulary words.
The vocabulary database currently contains only the entries from "Universala Vortaro ", the original Esperanto dictionary published by L. L. Zamenhof at the end of the 1800s. I plan to add more roots later on, but I havent gotten to it yet. However, the dictionary is available in six languages: Esperanto, French, English, German, Russian, and Polish.
The "Esperanto Parser" can break a word down into its root and affixes. In the future it will work on a whole sentence, but this is what I have so far.
Since these are written as pure QT4 apps, they should compile fine on Linux, Windows, or Mac OS X. For now I only have a Windows installer, but I plan on producing a Linux and Mac OS X version once I have the time.
Installation:
To compile from source:
Uncompress the archive
cd to one of the source directories
Run qmake
Run make
Run make install

NFMCA 0.2.6
NFMCA is a MUD client with basic features in the form of a Java applet. more>>
NFMCA project is a MUD client with basic features in the form of a Java applet.
The GUI is written with Swing, so one needs Java Runtime Environment to run it. Besides running in a browser as an applet, it also supports standalone mode.
Features include dealing with a limited set of ANSI codes (foreground colors and underline), multiple languages (as you could expect from a Swing program) and font changing (two features which are absent in some much more complicated clients), smart scrolling, command history, detachment ability for applet mode, handy selection/copying mode, and more.
It supports English as the default, and Russian for Russian-localized operating systems. NFMCA should run on any platform (tested on Windows and GNU/Linux).
Enhancements:
- setting default foreground color to green didnt work for JRE 1.5+
- empty HTML parameters for setting charsets werent parsed correctly
- the input box lost focus on click
- input box gets focus on initial display now
