Steel Bank Common Lisp 1.0.8

Steel Bank Common Lisp 1.0.8

Steel Bank Common Lisp is a common Lisp native compiler. more>>
Steel Bank Common Lisp is a development environment for Common Lisp, with excellent support for the ANSI standard: garbage collection, lexical closures, powerful macros, strong dynamic typing, incremental compilation, and the famous Common Lisp Object System (multimethods and all).

Steel Bank Common Lisp also includes many extensions, such as native threads, socket support, a statistical profiler, programmable streams, and more. These are all available through an integrated, interactive native compiler which feels like an interpreter.

SBCL is unique in being a multiplatform native compiler which bootstraps itself completely from source, using a C compiler and any other ANSI Common Lisp implementation.

Whats New in This Release:

* enhancement: experimental macro SB-EXT:COMPARE-AND-SWAP provides
atomic compare-and-swap operations on threaded platforms.
* enhancement: experimental function SB-EXT:RESTRICT-COMPILER-POLICY
allows assining a global minimum value to optimization qualities
(overriding proclamations and declarations).
* enhancement: closed over variables can be stack-allocated on x86
and x86-64.
* performance bug fix: GETHASH and (SETF GETHASH) are once again
non-consing.
* optimization: slot definition lookup is now O(1). This speeds up
eg. SLOT-VALUE and (SETF SLOT-VALUE) with variable slot names.
* optimization: STRING-TO-OCTETS is now up to 60% faster for UTF-8.
* optimization: ASSOC and MEMBER can now be open-coded for all
combinations of keyword arguments when second argument is constant
and SPEED >= SPACE. In other cases a specialized version is
selected.
* bug fix: using obsoleted structure instances with TYPEP and
generic functions now signals a sensible error.
* bug fix: threads waiting on GET-FOREGROUND can be interrupted.
(reported by Kristoffer Kvello)
* bug fix: backtrace construction is now more careful when making
lisp-objects from pointers on the stack, to avoid creating bogus
objects that can be seen by the GC.
* bug fix: defaulting of values in contexts expecting more than 7
variables now works on x86-64. (reported by Christopher Laux)
* bug fix: modifications to packages (INTERN, EXPORT, etc) are now
thread safe.
* bug fix: (SETF SYMBOL-PLIST) no longer allows assigning a non-list
as the property-list of a symbol.
* bug fix: DEFMETHOD forms with CALL-NEXT-METHOD in the method body,
in EVAL-WHEN forms with both :COMPILE-TOPLEVEL and :LOAD-TOPLEVEL
situations requested, are once again file-compileable. (reported
by Sascha Wilde)

Gentoox Home 5.0

Gentoox Home 5.0

Gentoox is an adaptation of the popular Linux distribution called Gentoo. more>>
Gentoox Linux is an adaptation of the popular source based Linux distribution called Gentoo. Gentoox Home retains all the features of the original (portage, sysvinit etc...) but has a patch system created from the ground up, by myself, which is specifically designed for Gentoox.

"Magic" (as I have labelled it) allows users to install new software, upgrade their kernel and fix bugs. To learn more about magic, run "magic usage" once you have installed Gentoox.

Gentoox runs along side games - you get 3 choices during installation: E, F and Native. Both E and F create a loopback filesystem meaning that none of your drives are formatted during installation (except for cache partitions). If you choose "Native", then your F: partition is formatted to ReiserFS (making it inaccessible to Xbox applications).

Gentoox can be loaded via a .xbe file, or from a Cromwell based BIOS (which can be flashed to your modchip during installation). When using E or F installations, you are totally risk free - if you dont like Gentoox, simply delete all the files it installs (about 7 in total) and its gone.

There are three versions of Gentoox: Pro Edition, Home Edition and Media Center Edition. All three are 100% free and opensource, the difference between Home and Pro is that the Home Edition has many software packages preinstalled and preconfigured for instant usablity straight out of the box where as Pro doesnt even have a graphical user interface let alone any "useful" applications.

Pro is a bare minimum installation for booting the system, the entire customisation of the OS is left in the users hands with Pro. Media Center edition is more of a "Plugin" than a separate distribution. It allows you to have a Media Center along with Gentoox Home or Pro.

Natural Language Toolkit 0.8

Natural Language Toolkit 0.8

Natural Language Toolkit is a suite of Python libraries and programs for symbolic and statistical natural language processing. more>>
Natural Language Toolkit is a suite of Python libraries and programs for symbolic and statistical natural language processing. NLTK includes graphical demonstrations and sample data.
It is accompanied by extensive documentation, including tutorials that explain the underlying concepts behind the language processing tasks supported by the toolkit.
Documentation:
A substantial amount of documentation about how to use NLTK is available from the nltk home page:
< http://nltk.sourceforge.net >
In particular, the NLTK home page contains three types of documentation:
- Tutorials teach students how to use the toolkit, in the context of performing specific tasks. They are appropriate for anyone who wishes to learn how to use the toolkit.
< http://nltk.sourceforge.net/tutorial/ >
- The toolkits reference documentation describes every module, interface, class, method, function, and variable in the toolkit. This documentation should be useful to both users and developers.
< http://nltk.sourceforge.net/ref/nltk.html >
- A number of technical reports are available. These reports explain and justify the toolkits design and implementation. They are used by the developers of the toolkit to guide and document the toolkits construction. Students can consult these reports if they would like further information about how the toolkit is designed and why it is designed that way.
< http://nltk.sourceforge.net/tech/ >

- made numpy optional
Code (minor):
- changed GrammarFile initializer to accept filename
- consistent tree display format
- fixed loading process for WordNet and TIMIT that prevented code installation if data not installed
- taken more care with unicode types
- incorporated pcfg code into cfg module
- moved cfg, tree, featstruct to top level
- new filebroker module to make handling of example grammar files more transparent
- more corpus readers (webtext, abc)
- added cfg.covers() to check that a grammar covers a sentence
- simple text-based wordnet browser
- known bug: parse/featurechart.py uses incorrect apply() function
Corpora:
- csv data file to document NLTK corpora
Contrib:
- added Glue semantics code (contrib.glue, by Dan Garrette)
- Punkt sentence segmenter port (contrib.punkt, by Willy)
- added LPath interpreter (contrib.lpath, by Haejoong Lee)
- extensive work on classifiers (contrib.classifier*, Sumukh Ghodke)
Tutorials:
- polishing on parts I, II
- more illustrations, data plots, summaries, exercises
- continuing to make prose more accessible to non-linguistic audience
- new default import that all chapters presume: from nltk.book import *
Distributions:
- updated to latest version of numpy
- removed WordNet installation instructions as WordNet is now included in corpus distribution
- added pylab (matplotlib)
Enhancements:

MicroAkismet 1.2

MicroAkismet 1.2

MicroAkismet package contains a straightforward set of functions for talking to the Akismet blog-spam protection system. more>>
MicroAkismet package contains a straightforward set of functions for talking to the Akismet blog-spam protection system. This is intended as a simple and compact method for adding Akismet protection to any user-submitted content.
Installation
1. To begin using the functions, download the latest version and unzip the script.
2. Place the akismet.inc.php file somewhere in your web root, and load the functions using include(), or better still, include_once():
include_once( "akismet.inc.php" );
?>
3. Obtain a valid WordPress API key, if you do not already have one, from:
http://wordpress.com/
If you dont have an account you will need to create one. Once you have an account, your API key can be found at the bottom of this page:
http://wordpress.com/profile
4. In the "User editable data" section, at the top of the code, put in your WordPress API key and the home page of the blog being protected. The User Agent can be changed to suit your application. If it is not a blog that is being protected, change the home page to the comments page or forum page that is being protected.
Usage
There are three static functions for talking to Akismet:
aksimet_check( $vars )
Check if a comment is spam or not
aksimet_spam( $vars )
Re-classify a comment as spam
aksimet_ham( $vars )
Re-classify a comment as ham (not spam)
Each function takes one argument, $vars, which is a list of information about the comment that is being checked. $vars *must* contain at least this information
$vars["user_ip"]
The IP address of the person that posted the comment
$vars["user_agent"]
The User-Agent of the person that posted the comment
The "blog" value (the homepage of the blog that this post came from) is added automatically by the code. The following extra information can also be added, to help Akismet classify the message more accurately:
$vars["comment_content"]
The body of the comment itself, the content that was submitted
$vars["referrer"]
The content of the HTTP_REFERER header (note the spelling)
$vars["permalink"]
Permalink to the comment
$vars["comment_type"]
May be blank, comment, trackback, pingback, etc
$vars["comment_author"]
Submitted name with the comment
$vars["comment_author_email"]
Submitted email address
$vars["comment_author_url"]
Commenter URL
In PHP, you can also add the contents of the $_SERVER array to this list, which gives extra information to Akismet, and further increases the accuracy of their system.
Enhancements:
- A class version and a static function version have been created.
- They are the same code, but one is wrapped in a PHP5 compatible class, giving more flexibility.

Finance::Bank::NetBranch 0.07

Finance::Bank::NetBranch 0.07

Finance::Bank::NetBranch is a Perl module that can manage your NetBranch accounts with Perl. more>>
Finance::Bank::NetBranch is a Perl module that can manage your NetBranch accounts with Perl.

SYNOPSIS

use Finance::Bank::NetBranch;
my $nb = Finance::Bank::NetBranch->new(
url => https://nbp1.cunetbranch.com/valley/,
account => 12345,
password => abcdef,
);

my @accounts = $nb->accounts;

foreach (@accounts) {
printf "%20s : %8s : USD %9.2f of %9.2fn",
$_->name, $_->account_no, $_->available, $_->balance;
my $days = 20;
for ($_->transactions(from => time - (86400 * $days), to => time)) {
printf "%10s | %20s | %80s : %9.2f, %9.2fn",
$_->date->ymd, $_->type, $_->description, $_->amount, $_->balance;
}
}

This module provides a rudimentary interface to NetBranch online banking. This module was originally implemented to interface with Valley Communities Credit Unions page at https://nbp1.cunetbranch.com/valley/, but the behavior of the module is theoretically generalized to "NetBranch" type online access.

However, I do not have access to another NetBranch account with another bank, and so any feedback on the actual behavior of this module would be greatly appreciated.

You will need either Crypt::SSLeay or IO::Socket::SSL installed for HTTPS support to work.
