Games:Roshambo 1.01 is a brilliant module which manages a game of Rock/Paper/Scissors, aka Roshambo

Major Features:

1. You can specify an optional hashref containing configuration items.
2. Valid configuration items are: numthrows
3. The number of separate valid throws for a game, for example, in Rock, Paper, Scissors, there are 3 throws, while in a spirited game of RPS-101, there are 101 valid throws. If not specified, this defaults to 3.
4. sortable
5. OPTIONAL: Behold the madness of Chris Prather. Passing a TRUE value to new for this item will cause the judge method to return values of -1 if Player 1 wins, 0 for a tie and 1 for Player 2, instead of the 0, 1 and 2 it does normally.
6. The entirely dubious benefit of this is that the function can be used in conjunction with sort. It's his fault. He asked for it. Any questions as to the relative usefulness of this should be directed at him. The management disavows all knowledge.
7. This method will judge a game of RPS, returning a 1 for Player 1 winning, a 2 for Player 2, and a 0 for a tie.
8. It takes up to two arguments, indicating the throws for Player 1 and Player 2, as text representations.
9. If one or both arguments are omitted, the method will internally call $self->gen_throw to randomly generate one.
10. getaction
11. When called with two throws, this will return the text of the action for this combination. For example, if called as $rps-getaction("rock", "paper")> the returned value will be "covers".
12. This module contains actions for three throw (Rock, Paper, Scissors) and 101 throw games, in any other number of throws, this method will return undef.

grocks project is the game of Asteroids on steroids, in 500 lines of Python.

grocks is a small computer game. It was written by the author while drunk at a party; it was a good party. grocks is somewhat of a cross between asteroids, thrust, and koules, with a bit of sexual innuendo and lots of Newtonian physics thrown in.

It now includes Jaymzs `videoPrint to display the messages in pretty fading text on the main game window (it used to write them in the terminal).

There is a new version written in `braced C++ which only works under X11 (not Windoze) and doesnt have videoPrint yet - but its faster! My C++ is a bit rusty.

To play grocks on a Linux/i386 machine:
- You can simply execute `rocks, its already compiled for your machine.

Aftershock project is a Gopher server.
Aftershock is an Open Source, freely-available Gopher server. It is written to the standard set forth in RFC 1436, and as such, should be fully interoperable with all existing Gopher clients, including Netscape, Mosaic, UMN Gopher, and Mozilla.
Aftershock was written in Java, and requires a Java 1.4 (or better) runtime.
Portions of the code, as well as the design, are based on the authors Soma web server.
Installation
Unarchiving the Aftershock distribution is all the installation that needs to occur. Unix users should read the section in the manual about running Aftershock on that system.
Read the manual (docs/manual.txt) for how to configure Aftershock. Or just open up the aftershock.conf file - it is fairly simple.
Running
Under Unix, run the supplied "aftershock" script.
Under everything else, use the command "java -jar aftershock"
Enhancements:
- Fixed typo bug when Aftershock logs a server shutdown
- Multiline requests (for example, when a user uses an HTTP request rather than a Gopher one) now have all CRLF pairs converted to [nl] in the log file [Both bugs reported by Randolf C. Richardson]

mp3org is a simple but effective way of getting mp3s in and out of a mp3 player that mounts as a drive.

Lets you preview, organise and generally sort through that back log of "someday maybe" mp3 files.

Installation:

Keep the "detect.sh" and "mp3org.kmdr" files in the same folder.
Edit the "detect.sh" file with a text editor.
There are 3 adjustable variables at the top of the file.
DEV = the mount point of your MP3 drive (user RW access)
INTRAY = where I put all my new mp3s up for consideration
OUTTRAY = the root of my music library on the HD
Edit them as appropriate.
Mount your MP3 player drive.
Chuck some mp3 files in your In Tray folder.
Click "mp3org.kmdr"
