Role Playing Tools 1.1
Role Playing Tools extends the pen and paper role playing tabletop to the computer. more>>
Role Playing Tools extends the pen and paper role playing tabletop to the computer by providing a die rolling tool with a full expression language including Javascript functions, tabbed rolling bars, quick summation features, and the ability to save and restore sessions. There is also a client and server map sharing tool. Both are intended to be simple and powerful and enhance the game, not distract from it.
We found that we wanted to augment our pen-and-paper roleplaying (primarily 3.5ed D&D) with computer aids.
These tools extend and augment our traditional playing style. They are not a role playing game by themselves, nor are they meant to replace everything at the D&D table.
DiceToolis a simple but powerful expression parser that has built in functions for random number generation and can be further extended by JavaScript to do all sorts of calculations.
MapToolis an elegant graphical tool to share maps (images) and map data (drawings, markers, grid placement) in a client/server fashion between multiple players.
TokenToolis an accessory to MapTool. Drag any image onto the workspace and use the mouse to move and zoom the image in the reticle. Then drag from the preview pane directly onto MapTool -- or File->Save to save a png file.

OpenMW 0.6
An attempt to reimplement the popular role playing game Morrowind. more>>
OpenMW 0.6 will provide hours of entertainment for everyone. This is designed as an attempt to reimplement the popular role playing game Morrowind. The projects goal is to be a fully playable, open source implementation of the game. You must own Morrowind to use OpenMW.
When complete, this project will allow you to have these features:
- Be a full featured reimplementation of Morrowind
- Run natively on Windows, Linux and MacOS X
- Support all existing content, including Tribunal, Bloodmoon and all user created mods
- Allow much greater customization: change game rules, create new spell effects, etc through scripting.
- Fix system design bugs, like the "dirty" GMST entries in mods, and the savegame "doubling" problem
- Improve the interface and journal system
OpenMW is released under the GNU General Public License version 3. It is written in the D programming language, and all source code has been written completely from scratch. It also builds on various other open source tools, most notably OGRE for graphics.
Major Features:
- Loads any interior cell (geometry, items, lights, and evironmental sounds) from the command line
- Renders maps, with somewhat natural lighting
- You can move around in "ghost-mode" using WASD or arrow keys and mouse
- Partially displays creature meshes, using leveled creature lists
- Very basic sound and music support
- Backend can load Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmoon ESMs and any combination of mods
- Ignores dirty GMST entries in mods
- Loads data directly from .esm and .bsa files, as well as from the file system
Enhancements:
- Coded a GUI system using MyGUI
- Skinned MyGUI to look like Morrowind (work in progress)
- Integrated the Monster-script engine
- Rewrote some functions into script code
- Very early MyGUI Monster binding
- Fixed Windows sound problems (replaced old openal32.dll)
Requirements:
- Windows - To compile the sources you need MinGW and gdcwin. Follow the instructions in COMPILE-win32.txt.
- Linux

Ukrainian Rumble 2
Ukrainian Rumble is a mechanical FPS with destructible physics. more>>
GPRS Easy Connect program is a free GUI for GPRS connecting for Linux distributions.
Main features:
- Mechanical structure of the robot is to be linked to its functionality.
- Each part of a robot: arm, leg, wheel, head, tower, radar, etc. can be independently damaged and plays its role among various abilities of a robot, thus each ability can be shutdown by damaging a certain part.
- The environment of the simulation should be as destructible as the robots themselves. Thus it is possible to use environment as either weapon or a defensive tool. For example, it should be possible to bring down a building on top of your enemy, or in-between you and your enemy so as to give yourself cover.

Text::XLogfile 0.03
Text::XLogfile module allows reading and writing xlogfiles. more>>
Text::XLogfile module allows reading and writing xlogfiles.
SYNOPSIS
use Text::XLogfile :all;
my @scores = read_xlogfile("scores.xlogfile");
for (@scores) { $_->{player} = lc $_->{player} }
write_xlogfile(@scores, "scores.xlogfile.new");
my $xlogline = make_xlogline($scores[0], -1);
my $score = parse_xlogline($xlogline);
print "First place: $score->{player}n";
print "$xloglinen";
xlogfile format
xlogfile is a simple line-based data format. An xlogfile is analogous to an array of hashes. Each line corresponds to a hash. A sample xlogline looks like:
name=Eidolos:ascended=1:role=Wiz:race=Elf:gender=Mal:align=Cha
This obviously corresponds to the following hash:
{
ascended => 1,
align => Cha,
name => Eidolos,
race => Elf,
role => Wiz,
gender => Mal,
}
xlogfile supports no quoting. Keys and values may be any non-colon characters. The first = separates the key from the value (so in a=b=c, the key is a, and the value is b=c. Colons are usually transliterated to underscores. Like a Perl hash, if multiple values have the same key, later values will overwrite earlier values. Heres something resembling the actual grammar:

LambdaRogue is a rogue-like role playing game set in the future of a somehow "parallel world" to our own.
People had to go underground to survive a war between human society and the once peaceful DrakhNar, another species on the planet. People founded the NeoTerr nation and tried to build up a prosperous civilization.
This worked, until suddenly strange creatures came down the Great River Styx. The river has now become a source of fear and terror. The player has to follow the river through NeoTerr and discover the reason. The atmosphere is rather strange, influcenced by phantasy and cyberpunk.
Enhancements:
- HP does not autoregenrate any longer.
- This makes the game more difficult.
- Monsters are able to do long-range attacks.
- There are three new trader types (hospital, restaurant, and academy).
- There are many UI improvements and bugfixes.

Astro::VO::VOEvent is an object interface to parse and create VOEvent messages.
SYNOPSIS

this will create a document from the options passed to the method, most of the hash keys are optional and if missed out the relevant keywords will be blank or missing entirely from the built document. Type, Role, ID and either Reference or WhereWhen (and their sub-tags) are mandatory.

this will probably NOT be the final API for the build() method, as it is overly complex. It is probably one or more convenience methods will be put ontop of this routine to make it easier to use. See the t/2_simple.t file in the test suite for an example which makes use of the complex form of the What tag above.
NB: This is the low level interface to build a message, this is subject to change without notice as higher level "easier to use" accessor methods are added to the module. It may eventually be reclassified as a PRIVATE method.

Gallipoli: The Game is a stunning recreation of Australias greatest military adventure. As a commander in the Great War (WWI), you take on the role of leading the prime of Australias armed forces as they launch an all-out assault on the Central Powers (the Germans, Austrians and the Ottomans).
Gameplay is similar to the hit PC game, Lemmings, except, instead of trying to save your soldiers, your mission, as an authentic WWI commander, is to wipe out as many diggers as possible ... the more gruesomely, the better!
Main features:
- Landing at Hell Spit (ANZAC cove)
- Russells Top
- The Sphinx
- Walkers Ridge
- The landing at Sulva Bay
- The third wave at the Nek
Enhancements:
- game much faster
- more options
- Battle of Pozyers level removed (no-one was playing it)

Alien Swarm is an overhead view tactical shooter modification for Unreal Tournament 2004. Alien Swarm is set in a distant future, the players take the role of a Commander in the Interstellar Armed Forces.
They must guide their squad of marines through Swarm infested colonies, overrun bases and outposts, to achieve a variety of objectives. Featuring Assault Rifles, Heat Tracking Guns, Sentry Guns, Flamethrowers and more.
The top down, tactical shooter can be played by a maximum of 6 players in a co-op style. (You can play 8 in total, but then the game gets a bit crowded so we made it 6 by default.) Choose from eight marines, with different specialties - medical, technical, explosive or weapons specialists.
It features a single mission mode and a campaign. Fight off the Swarm to increase your skills and earn medals for extra skill points.
