MySpace Friend Renamer provides an extension that allows you to rename your MySpace Friends.

This adds a right click option to Myspace Pages and allows you to change the display name for any of your friends. Handy if your friends change names often, or pick strange and obscure names.

Also in response to comments. If a tab is not in focus when the page loads, the extension will not rename.

I believe that the extension will conflict with other extensions that change pages when they load. If I find a better way to do it, I will change it.

GPRename is a GUI batch file renamer based on Gtk-Perl.

GPRename can rename files numerically, insert/delete characters at/between specified position(s), replace strings (either using regular express or not), and change case.

Thunar Media Tags Plugin (thunar-media-tags-plugin) adds special features for media files to the Thunar File Manager.
Main features:
- a so-called bulk renamer, which allows users to rename multiple audio files at once, based on their tags (e.g. ID3 or OGG/Vorbis),
- a special media file page for the file properties dialog, which displays detailed information about quality, length etc.,

Plus, you can manage the files names with the MP3 Renamer -- fast and practical. And may open the player, send the playlist to the player to play it or enqueue it. M3Tk has a installer/uninstaller GUI and has a simple and practical interface.
To install, change to directory where you extracted M3Tk package (e.g., cd ~/src/m3tk-2.2) and:
./m3tk-instal
And follow the screen instructions. If you desire to install on folder of ROOT permissions, run m3tk-instal as ROOT.

Kipi (KDE Image Plugin Interface) is an effort to develop a common plugin structure for Digikam, KimDaBa, Showimg and Gwenview.
Kipis aim is to share image plugins among graphic applications. Kipi is based on the old digiKam plugins implementation and is maintened by digiKam team.
