libreplay 0.5
libreplay it saves the audio output of realplay. more>>
libreplay library will save the output of realplay in a raw format, so you can do what you want with this uncompressed data later in time.
When you use realplay, sometimes you would like to save the sound that you ear, to be able to listen to it later in time. But realplay doesnt have a save or export button, so libreplay dose that for you.
Installation
Just do a make in the directory, should be alright. There will be the file libreplay.so which contains everything usefull.
Usage
This documentation is only valid for version 0.3 of libreplay. Avoid using 0.1, it crashes too much realplay. (Version 0.2 does not have LIBREPLAY_AUDIO support.)
You must set the variable LIBC_PATH to the place where your libc is (something like /lib/libc.so.6). If you are under bash, just do export LIBC_PATH=/lib/libc.so.6
(replace /lib/libc.so.6 by your libc of course).
Do
LD_PRELOAD=./libreplay.so realplay in the directory where libreplay is.
realplay will create /tmp/realplayer_stream_XX_speed_YY_channels_ZZ_format_AA.raw for each stream you play.
XX will be replaced by the stream number (from 0 to whatever the number of streams you download).
YY will be the speed of the stream (44100 if the stream is at 44100Hz, for instance).
ZZ will be the number of channels of the stream (1 for mono, 2 for stereo).
AA will be the size of each sample of the stream (I only saw 16 for it, meaning: 16 bits, signed, little endian).
Some streams may be empty, because realplay sometimes opens and closes the soundcard whitout outputting any sound.
The output is a raw file, use sox or you favorite conversion program to transform it into a format you like more.
For instance, using sox, you would do
sox -t raw -s -w -c 2 -r 44100 realplayer_stream_6_speed_44100_channels_1_format_16.raw out.wav copy
-t raw for saying its a raw file,
-s -w for saying its 16b signed,
-c 2 for saying there are 2 channels,
-r 44100 for saying its a 44100Hz stream.
It has been tested against realplayer 8.
By setting the environment variable LIBREPLAY_AUDIO, you can save live streams. Some streams create problems when they are saved faster than they are played; the server will send again some audio data, and the result is bad. With this option, the stream is played and saved at the same time. If you have problems with your saved streams, try this option.
You may use the scripts realplay.dump and realplay.dump_live, which include all the necessary to let realplay be used with libreplay.
realplay.dump will only save the stream.
realplay.dump_live will save it and play it.
You may need to edit these scripts, to adapt the paths, for them to fit your system. These scripts are only here to help you; if they dont work, you still will need to read the documentation (this file) and understand it.
Gregory did a little perl utility to, maybe, facilitate the usage of this little tool. realexport.tar.gz
realexport.sh something.rm is the way to use it, according to Gregory. (It may work, it may fail, not tested.) You will need sox and lame available on your system.

Eureka Public Key 1.0.0
Eureka Public Key was created due to numerous requests for a public key application using our strong encryption techniques. more>>
Eureka Public Key was created due to numerous requests for a public key application using our strong encryption techniques. The basic principle for its use is one creates their own public key and distributes the key to whomever they will be transferring encrypted files with.
When one receives a key, they import it into their key database. You can create and import as many keys as you wish. Both public keys are used in the cryption process. You select your particular public key to use and the public key of the person who will receive it.
When a file has been received you put in your public key that matches the one they used and select their public key that was used in the encryption. See the Encryption, Decryption and Import/Export sections for more information on these topics. To create a public key, click on Keys then Create Public Key or click on the gold key icon under the menu items.
All you have to do is define a name for the public key and click on Create. All encrypted files will be written to the Encryptions folder. Likewise, all decrypted files will go to the Decryptions folder. If a file already exists with the same name, it will be overwritten.
Encryption:
To Encrypt a file, click on File then Encrypt.
All you have to do is select Your public key, their public key and click on Encrypt or press enter then select the file you want to process.
The file selected will be encrypted and then placed in your Encryptions folder. Now you can send this file in the manner you prefer.
Note that this application encrypts in a binary format. In other words, it uses the full 256 character set and is not a text file. You will need to send it as an attachment if you are using email to transmit it.
Decryption:
To Decrypt a file, click on File then Decrypt.
All you have to do is select Your public key, their public key then click on Decrypt and select the file you want to process.
The file selected will be decrypted and then placed in your Decryptions folder.

Ladder 1.3
Ladder brings us back to the days of classic computer games. more>>
Ladder project brings us back to the days of classic computer games. Back when computer games were written without any fancy graphics. Heck, they were written without any graphics at all!
Using only ASCII characters, ladder was an addictive game that was very popular for computers running the CPM operating system. Seeing the game, you might be very much reminded of "Donkey Kong".
Now Ladder has been rewritten in Java and can be played on most of todays computers. This version includes all the original levels and several new ones. It also comes with a level editor so that you can make your own.
Usage:
You are a lad trapped in a maze. Youre mission is to explore the dark corridors never before seen by human eyes and find hidden treasures and riches.
You control the lad by typing the direction buttons and by jumping by typing SPACE. But beware of the falling rocks called Der rocks. You must also find and grasp the treasure (shown as $) BEFORE the bonus time runs out.
A new lad will be awarded for every 10,000 points. Extra points are awarded for touching the gold statues (shown as &). You will receive the bonus time points that are left when you have finished the level.
Remember, there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Chum)
Good luck lad.

A7Xpg is a game where you collect all the gold, while avoiding the enemies. A7Xpg was created by Kenta Cho and ported to Linux by Evil Mr Henry.
Installation:
A7Xpg is entirely contained within this directory. There is no installation. To uninstall, simply delete this directory.
Running:
Type ./a7xpg from this directory to start the game. The command-line line switches listed in readme_e.txt should all work.
Compiling:
Install the OpenGL development libraries. (This is the hard part.)
Install the D compiler, version 0.106. (http://ftp.digitalmars.com/dmd.106.zip) Note that this is non-opensource, so if you cant run the binary, youre out of luck. If you dont like it, talk to digitalmars. I dont like it either. Also, any later versions of the D compiler will NOT work. 0.106 or earlier is needed. As a final note, the resultant binary will not work on other computers, due to problems in the D compiler.
Install SDL_mixer.
Compile with "make". The bulletML libraries will give a few warnings. Ignore them.
Known Issues:
The compiler is non-opensource.

SPAR 1.2
Sdp PARser is the conferencing utility. more>>
Sdp PARser is the conferencing utility. New multicast capable multimedia applications, such as RealPlayer and Marratech Pro, can accept files containing session descriptions (in SDP format) to join a multicast conference. This allows SDP files to be served from a web page and a conference joined, using a registered SDP MIME type associated with the application.
Alternatively popular MBone applications, such as VIC, RAT, WB and NTE rely on the Session Directory Tool (SDR) to convert the SDP into command line parameters and thus cannot take advantage of joining conferences via a web page. The solution offered here is to accept the SDP from the web browser, convert it to command line parameters at the client side and then to start up the tools with the relevant parameters. This could be implemented in several possible ways:
* a platform dependent binary running on the client machine with a MIME type for the SDP
* a plug-in installed in the browser
* a Java applet with execution privileges
The Java applet was implemented because it doesnt requiere a installation or configuration by the user and is platform independent.

POMStrap 1.0.7

POMStrap is a little opensource (BSD License) application bootstrap designed to avoid the Java library dependency/version headache. The more we use open-source Java components, the more we have to deal with the classical problem of dependency conflict.
Ive personally experienced this problem when using FOP and Batik simultaneously: FOP required a specific old version of Batik to work (and render vector images), and I needed to use the latest version of Batik for image rendering.
POMStrap allows you clean separation of concern within your application (for component oriented architecture), providing strict hierarchical classloader confinement.
POMStrap is able to load application dependency as they are declared in Maven 2 project file, and execute each dependency in its own classloader without inhering from its parent avoiding version conflict.
By using POMStrap you will be able to have an application dependency schema such as:
Application-1.0
+ DepA-1.0
+ DepB-1.0
+ DepA-2.0
And DepB-1.0 executing DepA-2.0 classes (and not DepA-1.0 as it would be without POMStrap).
POMStrap also work as an application bootstrap. POMStrap project just requires a pom file (Maven 2 project file) and a class/method to fetch all required dependencies and launch the application using a command line syntax such as:
java -jar pomstrap-1.0.jar groupId:artifact:version classname[:method] [method args]
for example:
java -jar pomstrap-1.0.jar pomstrap:testApp:1.0 com.prefetch.pomstrap.App:run
If no method is provided it will try to start the classical java static main method.
Be default POMStrap looks into you local repository (in you [home directory]/.m2/repository) but you can also specify another repository URL using system property:
"-Dmaven2.repository.url=[URL]"
You can use POMStrap via a Servlet with similar init-parameters configuration (see provided example sources).
A JBoss POMStrap Service is also available and allows you to lauch applications as JBoss Service (via .sar file deployed in a JBoss instance).
By the way, POMStrap can easily be embedded in your application with minimal impact (since it does not require any external library).
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a bug in the resource loader and remote repository definition.
- POMStrap has now been successfully used in a different production environment and this release can be considered as gold.

FooBillard 3.0a
FooBillard is a free OpenGl billard game for linux. more>>
FooBillard is a free OpenGL-billard game for Linux with realistic physics, AI-player and many gametypes like pool carambol or snooker. Why foo? Well, actually I had this logo (F.B.-Florian Berger) and then foo sounds a bit like pool (Somehow I wasnt quite attracted by the name FoolBillard) The main physics is quite mature but not yet perfect. If you are a billard-pro and youre missing some physics, please tell me. Cause Ive implemented it like I think it should work, which might differ from reality.
There are two supported implementations concerning the interface. A GLUT and an SDL implementation. So you need to have either GLUT or SDL installed on your system Furthermore libpng has to be installed for loading the textures and freetype2 is required for font rendering.
Main features:
- wood paneled table with gold covers and gold diamonds
- reflections on balls
- shadow pixmaps
- detail switching of balls according to distance
- zoom in/out - hold right mousebutton
- FOV +/- - hold right mousebutton + CTRL
- rotate - hold left mousebutton
- animated queue
- 8ball, 9ball, snooker, carambol
- simple AI-Player
- strength adjustment
- eccentic hit adjustment (button2-Shift)
- red/green 3D stereo view !!!
- sound
- network play
- free view mode
