archive2iso 1.0
archive2iso application takes a directory tree and randomizes the files in the tree to stripe the files across several ISO files more>>
archive2iso application takes a directory tree and randomizes the files in the tree to stripe the files across several ISO files that can be archived or burned off to a CD.
The intended use is to stripe files across multiple CD/DVD randomly so if one disc is damaged all the images that were in the same directory will not be lost since files are spread across multiple disks. The actual files themselves are not split, all files remain in their original state.
An example of an intended use is where you have a series of valuable vacation photos that could span 6 CD for all your photos in your collection. archive2iso would spread them out across the 6 CDs so if 1 of the 6 cds is lost, you only loose 1/6th of your images. Which is better than loosing all of them!
SYNTAX: ./archive2iso
EXAMPLE:
Enter Directory: /absolute/path - Files to archive = 910 - Estimated total Size = 632 MBEnter Max megabyte Size for the ISO/CD/DVD (1-4700): 100 - Estimated Num Disks = 7 /usr/tmp/disk_1.iso - 139 files at 99.6 MB /usr/tmp/disk_2.iso - 128 files at 99.8 MB /usr/tmp/disk_3.iso - 144 files at 99.9 MB /usr/tmp/disk_4.iso - 164 files at 99.7 MB /usr/tmp/disk_5.iso - 136 files at 99.9 MB /usr/tmp/disk_6.iso - 159 files at 99.9 MB /usr/tmp/disk_7.iso - 40 files at 32.8 MB Is the above disk configuration okay?Answer y or n: yNOTE: If the Disks do not look balanced then answer "n" and it will re-randomize. - Building ISO images

Locale file highlighter for Vim
Locale file highlighter for Vim is highlights ISO TR 14652-style locale input files. more>>
Glibc uses locale (or fdcc) files to define cultural conventions. The files are usualy named
xx_ZZ where xx is the ISO language code and ZZ is the ISO country code.
Main features:
- highlights only valid keys with various LC_ sections
- Shows bad < UNNNN > unicode as an error
Installation
- Copy the file to your .vim/syntax directory in a locale file type: set syntax=fdcc
Filetype detection
Slightly harder as locale files do not have any specific suffix - but heres what to do
Insert this after the Diff section in your scripts.vim file. It does initial patern matching and then looks within the file to determine if it is a locale file.
The double quotes below are escaped on this site so remove those escapes. In fact it will probably mess up all back slashes aswell.
" CVS diff
else
let lnum = 1
while getline(lnum) =~ "^? " && lnum < line("$")
let lnum = lnum + 1
endwhile
if getline(lnum) =~ ^Index:s+f+$

AcetoneISO 6.7 Advance
AcetoneISO script was made to simplify the mount of file *.iso . more>>
These two scripts were made to simplify the mount of file *.iso . AcetoneISO is perfectly integrated in KDE and it takes use of KDESU.
They are 2 simply scripts that autamatically creates a folder on Your Desktop and mounts the ISO file that is on the Deskop. Be sure that on your desktop there is only 1 iso file or else it will mount the iso file giving priority(i suppose) to the ascii code.
HOW TO USE :
1) mount and unmount ISO and MDF(if iso-9660 standard)
2) Convert BIN/CUE, MDF, DAT, NRG, CCD/IMG, CDI, XBOX to ISO
3) Burn Your ISO, CUE, TOC images directly in K3b
4) verify md5sum of image files
5) ability to create ISO from Folder and CD/DVD
6) Mount, unmount, create ISO from Folder or CD/DVD from servicemenu
7) Play a DVD-Movie ISO with Kaffeine, Mplayer or VLC from GUI or servicemenu(only kaffeine)
8) Split ISOs in smaller files of 649MB or 125MB ad merge them
9) Force the mount/eject of a CD/DVD media in your device

AFROS Live CD
AFROS Live CD is a bootable CD with a small collection of GNU/Linux software, ARAnyM and the AFROS. more>>
AFROS Live CD is a bootable CD with a small collection of GNU/Linux software, ARAnyM and the AFROS. AFROS Live CD boots and runs completely from CD, does not write anything to the harddrive and so is safe to try out. It is meant as a demo version of ARAnyM/AFROS. It is not the dreamed Installation CD of ARAnyM yet (although it could be modified to work so).
The underlying Linux kernel and related software provide the CD autoboot, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals. ARAnyM plus AFROS provide our familiar and favourite TOS/FreeMiNT/GEM operating environment. Its all integrated seamlessly and after PowerOn boots straight to the Teradesk (GEM desktop).
AFROS Live CD is distributed in the form of a CD ISO image which is the usual way of distributing CDs electronically. The ISO image file can be burnt on a CD-R/RW and so youll get an exact copy of the AFROS Live CD I created on my machine.
AFROS Live CD configuration:
fVDI resolution and/or color depth change: open up the C:FVDI.SYS (double click it and select Edit), locate the "01r aranym.sys mode 800x600x16@72" line, comment it out and uncomment one of the other prepared lines (or just make up your own). Then reboot the AFROS.
The ARAnyM Config GUI is unfinished yet so changes to ARAnyM config must be done outside of ARAnyM in the .aranym/config file. When you quit ARAnyM you should be able to edit the file with one of the supplied GNU/Linux editors (in the future this shouldnt be necessary as I am working on the Config GUI as you read this).
DSL site (AFROS Live CD is based on the DSL) might give you some hints about preserving the changes youve made to the AFROS disk image or ARAnyM configuration (you might also want to read File Restoration -> HowTo in the X11 desktop). Note that this is untested by me and might be dangerous. Try it on your own risk only.

Hachoir metadata 1.0
Hachoir metadata can extract metadata from archives. more>>
Hachoir metadata can extract metadata from archives (bzip2, gzip, zip, tar), audio (MPEG audio/MP3, WAV, Sun/NeXT audio, Ogg/Vorbis, MIDI, AIFF, AIFC, Real Audio), images (BMP, CUR, EMF, ICO, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF, WMF, XCF), and video (ASF/WMV, AVI, Matroska, Quicktime, Ogg/Theora, Real Media).
It supports invalid or truncated files and Unicode text. It can remove duplicate values. Hachoir metadata project can also filter metadata according to priority.
Main features:
- Support invalid / truncated files
- Unicode compliant (charset ISO-8859-XX, UTF-8, UTF-16), convert string to your terminal charset
- Remove duplicate values (and if a string is a substring of another, just keep the longest one)
- Set priority to value, so its possible to filter metadata (option --level)
- Only depends on hachoir-parser (and not on libmatroska, libmpeg2, libvorbis, etc.)
Enhancements:
- This release reads the number of channels, bit rate, and sample rate, and computes the compression rate of Real Audio.
- It reads user comments of JPEG pictures.
- It computes the frame rate of Windows ANI.
- It normalizes language for ID3 and MKV.
- OLE2 and FLV extractors are now fault tolerant.
