atool 0.33.0
atool is a script for managing file archives of various types. more>>
atool is a script for managing file archives of various types (tar, tar+gzip, zip etc). The main command is probably aunpack, extracting files from an archive.
atool project overcomes the dreaded "multiple files in archive root" problem by first extracting to a unique subdirectory, and then moving back the files if possible. aunpack also prevents local files from being overwritten by mistake.
Other commands provided are apack (create archives), als (list files in archives), and acat (extract files to standard out).
atool identifies archives by their file extension. Sometimes this is not possible, for instance rar archives usually have varying numeric file extensions. In those cases when atool cant identify the format, file(1) is used instead. (atool can also be configured not to use file.)
atool is written in Perl by Oskar Liljeblad (oskar@osk.mine.nu), and is free software (GNU General Public License).

AVFS 0.9.8
AVFS is a system, which enables all programs to look inside gzip, tar, zip, etc. files. more>>
AVFS is a system, which enables all programs to look inside gzip, tar, zip, etc. files or view remote (ftp, http, dav, etc.) files, without recompiling the programs.
It currently supports floppies, tar and gzip files, zip, bzip2, ar and rar files, ftp sessions, http, webdav, rsh/rcp, ssh/scp. Quite a few other handlers are implemented with the Midnight Commanders external FS.
AVFS can be installed in two ways. These are:
Avfscoda
This method in theory works on any Linux system which has the
coda filesystem compiled in the kernel or as a kernel module.
In practice it works best with glibc-6.1 or higher, and it has
been tested on 2.2.X and 2.4.X kernels.
Preload
Currently this works on solaris systems. There are problems
making the preload method work for GLIBC version 6.1 or
higher, so systems using GLIBC are not supported.
Using AVFS is very similar in both cases. Differences will be indicated.
The installation method is different. For installation instructions
see the files INSTALL.preload and INSTALL.avfscoda respectively.
Enhancements:
- utar supports long names in POSIX ustar archives
- fixed truncation of 100 byte long file names in tar archive
- fixed crash in zlib code
- fixed deadlock in extfs code
- updated bzlib to 1.0.3
- updated avfsd to use fuse API version 26
several extfs fixes:
- fixed ucpio script
- fixed bug in extfs symlink handling (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)
- fixed ftplist to output correct symlinks and to support http/ssh (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)
- extfs scripts rpm and trpm outputs correct file sizes (important for fuse) (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)
- ftppass/davpass checks for additional base avfs directories. Environment variable AVFSBASE can be set for non-default directory. (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)
- ftp module supports @ in usernames (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)
- the avfs library is built and installed by default additionally to fuse/avfscoda/preload depending on the actual system
- added RPM spec file for avfs-fuse (patch from Tanmoy Bhattacharya)

cbrPager 0.9.15
cbrPager is a no-nonsense, simple to use, small viewer for cbr (comic book archive) files. more>>
cbrPager project is a no-nonsense, simple to use, small viewer for cbr (comic book archive) files. As it is written in C, the executable is small and fast. It views jpg (or jpeg), gif and png images, and you can zoom in and out.
Main features:
- Simple usage: A navigation bar stays on top of the pages.
- It works on any RAR-compressed image archive - normally the extension would be .cbr or .cbz, but other extensions work too.
- Advance/backup pages, and go to the begin and end.
- Zoom in and zoom out (10% steps) and return to 1:1.
- It should manage jpeg (jpg), png and gif images.
- A configuration window permits defining a few slightly more advanced tricks:
- When advancing go to the top of the next page (or bottom or stay where you are.)
- Same possibilities when paging backwards.
- Remember the last directory visited on startup, or always start in a defineable directory.
- Determine the initial size of the pager.
- Define where the navigation bar should be and its orientation.

Cutter 1.03
Cutter is an TCP/IP Connection cutting on Linux Firewalls and Routers. more>>
Cutter is an TCP/IP Connection cutting on Linux Firewalls and Routers.
Cutter is an open source program that uses the FIN-ACK-RST packet technique described above to abort TCP/IP connections routed over the firewall or router on which it is run. It can be called using one of the following four syntaxes.
cutter ip-address
Example: "cutter 10.10.0.45"
Cuts all connections passing through the firewall between any ports on the specified ip-address (either a "private" or "public" address) and any other hosts. This can be used to close down all incoming connections to a particular server, all outgoing connections from a particular client or all outgoing connections to a server.
cutter ip-address port
Example: "cutter 200.1.2.3 80"
Cuts all connections to or from the specified ip-address/port pair. This allows the user to be a little more specific than the previous example and allows targetting of specific services on specific hosts.
cutter ip-address-1 port-1 ip-address-2
Example "cutter 200.1.2.3 22 10.10.0.45"
Cuts all connections between ip-address-2 and ip-address-1/port-1. This allows the user to cut connections between a specified "client" and a particular service on a specified host. Our example closes host 10.10.0.45s SSH connection to server 200.1.2.3.
cutter ip-address-1 port-1 ip-address-2 port-2
Example: "cutter 200.1.2.3 22 10.10.0.45 32451"
Cuts the specific connection between the two ip/port number pairs given.
IMPORTANT WARNING
Cutter has been designed for use as a administrators tool for Linux firewalls. Its use (as is, or modified) for any other purpose is not sanctioned by the author. So - do not use this tool as a parachute, or to dry your cat, chill meat, answer your phone, drive you car, teach your kids to read or attack other peoples computer systems or networks.
This software has been designed for "legal" and "appropriate" use by network security administrators and the like. It has been written as part of a larger Linux firewall project, targetting at controlling traffic from peer-to-peer software such as Kazaa, iMesh and others into and out of a private network. It is not designed as a tool for malicious use and the author in no way sanctions such use.
Users of the software should be aware that its actions are easily detectable using a number of readily available network monitoring tools, and it makes no attempt to disguise its actions. Malicious use of "cutter" could result in a jail sentance in a number of countries around the world.

XArchive 0.2.8-6
XArchive is a generic front-end that uses external wrappers around command line archiving tools. more>>
XArchive is a generic front end for archives that uses external wrappers around the command line tools. XArchive checks its wrapper directory when it starts, consulting each wrapper found to see what file types are supported.
Thus, a new archive format can easily be supported by just writing a wrapper for it and dropping it in the wrappers directory.
Currently there are bash shell wrappers for: rar, tar, zip, and ace
(ace supported using unace, so only reading and extracting available).
These can easily be copied and modified to have xarchive support other command line tools and file types without having to touch xarchive at all.
Enhancements:
- This version supports adding files to an archive using Drag n Drog, and has a few GUI clean ups.

psArchive 0.1.2
psArchive is a PHP 5 extension designed to provide an easy to use interface for manipulating all the most common archives. more>>
psArchive is a PHP 5 extension designed to provide an easy to use interface for manipulating all the most common archive files used in Web projects at high speeds and workloads.
psArchive is especially designed for Web applications that need to understand, to produce, or even edit archives in order to function.
Main features:
Supports archive *editing*! You can add, remove, rename and copy files, you can change file contents, attributes and modification time, you can create new files and directories, *all* right inside the archive before output.
Supports the following archive formats:
- 1. ZIP (single volumes);
- 2. TAR (tarball tape archive);
- 3. GZ (Gzip compressed format);
- 4. BZ, BZ2 (Bzip/Bzip2 compressed format);
- 5. TAR.GZ, TGZ (Gzipped Tarball);
- 6. TAR.BZ2, TAR.BZ, TBZ2, TBZ (Bzipped Tarball);
- 7. Other formats can be supported on demand, such as RAR or ACE support (since these formats are uncommon in web environments we decided not to include them in order to keep the extension size as small as possible);
Configurable buffer storage for optimized and threadsafe memory handling:
- 1. In raw memory (for optimized speed);
- 2. In compressed memory (normal operation);
- 3. On disk (for optimized memory consumption);
Provides 2 functions for extremely fast in memory data compression / decompression using LZF algorithm. These functions correctly compress / decompress data blocks far greater than 1024 bytes;
