bigquotes is a quotes database based on the bpquotes project, with some minor (for the moment) enhancements. bigquotes is designed to let IRC users add funny quotes for others to see.

A banning system, Web-configurable options (session support, registratuib, admins, timeout for voting, etc.), and other facilities are planned.

PHP Personal Movie Database lets you organise (add/edit/delete) and display your movies list (DVD, SVCD, VCD, DIVX, etc.).

Quake 3 Movie Makers Edition is a customized Quake 3 engine for the movie making community.
It simplifies required tasks and adds new features to the engine that are related to the movie making.

AutoProfile is an extension to Gaim that allows users to create customized away messages and profiles using dynamic "components" that automatically update on a regular basis.
Generated text can include song names from XMMS/Winamp/iTunes, fortune quotes, computer uptime, the contents of a Web page or a text file, the output of a program, and timestamps.
AutoProfile plugin comes complete with a graphical preference system that covers a wide range of options and lets users choose exactly how they want their profiles to behave. The code is Open Source (licensed under the GPL) and designed such that it is extremely easy for users to extend the capabilities of this plugin.

Kuote is an applet for the KDE panel, inspired by Gnomes Wanda the Fish. It displays an animated character (a fish by default), which pops up quotes generated by the fortune(6) program when clicked (and optionally shows them in tooltips, too).
Kuote supports kioslaves for both the animation file and fortune files (fortune directories still work from local filesystems only). This means that you can enter any URL, not only local file names.

It contains only two quotes, so for testing purposes use it as the only fortune file or assign it a high probability if you want to actually see these fortunes.

EasyBMPtoAVI project, a Movie Creator, is a cross-platform application that converts a series of windows bitmap (BMP) images to an AVI movie file. Currently, EasyBMPtoAVI Movie Creator is supported on little-endian (e.g., x86) machines on any platform, but big-endian support is expected soon.

Scientists may find this software particularly useful for creating animated visualizations from series of still images.

EasyBMPtoAVI Movie Creator provides a simple command line interface (CLI) that is consistent across platforms, and it interactively quizzes the user if any necessary information is missing. EasyBMPtoAVI Movie Creator is being designed with ease of use as a top goal. To that end, a graphical user interface (GUI) is planned for a future release.

The EasyBMPtoAVI project was first begun on SourceForge on May 19, 2006.

Installation:

To compile with mingw, g++, or icc:

1) Go to http://easybmp.sourceforge.net/download.html and download the most recent version of EasyBMP.

2) Extract the contents of EasyBMP_#.##.zip (where #.## is the version number) into the source directory. Take care not to overwrite the supplied makefile!

3) Type "make" without the quotes. Thats it!

To compile with Microsoft Visual Studio:

1) Go to http://easybmp.sourceforge.net/download.html and download the most recent version of EasyBMP.

2) Extract the contents of EasyBMP_#.##.zip (where #.## is the version number) into the source directory.

3) Open Visual Studio, and create a new, empty win32 console application.

4) In the "Solution Explorer" panel, right-click on the "Source Files" icon, choose "Add," then "Existing item..."

5) Browse to the source directory, and select both EasyBMP.cpp and EasyBMPtoAVI.cpp.

6) In the "Solution Explorer" panel, right-click on the "Header Files" icon, choose "Add," then "Existing item..." (This step is unnecessary in VS 2005)

7) Browse to the source directory, and select all the EasyBMP*.h files. (This step is unnecessary in VS 2005.)

8) Build the project.

Finance::Quote::ASX is a Perl module that can obtain quotes from the Australian Stock Exchange.

This module obtains information from the Australian Stock Exchange http://www.asx.com.au/. All Australian stocks and indicies are available. Indexes start with the letter X. For example, the All Ordinaries is "XAO".

This module is loaded by default on a Finance::Quote object. Its also possible to load it explicity by placing "ASX" in the argument list to Finance::Quote->new().
This module provides both the "asx" and "australia" fetch methods. Please use the "australia" fetch method if you wish to have failover with other sources for Australian stocks (such as Yahoo). Using the "asx" method will guarantee that your information only comes from the Australian Stock Exchange.
