Irssi Quotes System 1.2
Irssi Quotes System is a script for the Irssi IRC client that provides commands for showing random or specific quotes. more>>
Irssi Quotes System is a script for the Irssi IRC client that provides commands for showing specific or random quotes, searching for quotes using SQL-style wild cards, and adding and deleting quotes.
Commands:
!quote [id] - Shows the quote with that id, or a random quote if none is used.
!search - Searches for *string* - SQL-style wildcards.
!whoset - Shows the author of the quote under that id.
!addquote - Adds a quote in the database.
!db - Prints number of non-deleted quotes in the database.
/delquote - Deletes a quote (actually it just marks the quote as deleted, nobody will be able to see it unless you restore it)
/restore - Restores a quote.
In order to install the irssi quotes system you have to do the following:
Download http://surferz.info/irssi_quotes.sql
Execute it: mysql -p yourdbname < irssi_quotes.sql
Go to your Irssi scripts directory, normally it is ~/.irssi/scripts/
Download http://surferz.info/irssi_quotes.pl
Open irssi_quotes.pl with your favorite text editor and edit these variables:
$database = (yourdbname);
$username = (dbuser);
$password = (dbpass);
Save irssi_quotes.pl
In your Irssi client type: /script load irssi_quotes.pl
Thats it! If you want the script to be loaded automatically at startup, put irssi_quotes.pl in the ~/.irssi/scripts/autorun/ directory. If the directory doesnt exist, create it.
Enhancements:
- Levels were added for the !addquote command.
- The owner can choose who may add quotes: only opped clients, only opped and voiced clients, or everyone.
- The commands must be written on a #channel, as the script wont listen to query windows anymore.

WWW::Myspace 0.60
WWW::Myspace is a Perl module to access MySpace.com profile information from Perl. more>>
WWW::Myspace is a Perl module to access MySpace.com profile information from Perl.
WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS MODULE FOR MASS MESSAGING OR COMMENTING.
Myspace will cripple or disable your account:
Older accounts:
Messages will appear in your Sent folder but not in the receivers inbox, although theyll be able to see it if theyre paging through from another message. The receiver will get a "New Comments" notification and be able to see your comment, but it wont appear on the profile page.
Newer accounts:
If you created your myspace account in or after June 2006 (approximately), and you use a "bot" (including this module) to send messages, your message sending ability will be disabled and your account may be deleted. This is due to security features myspace has implemented to prevent spam abuse by people using multiple accounts.
SYNOPSIS
WWW::Myspace.pm provides methods to access your myspace.com account and functions automatically. It provides a simple interface for scripts to log in, access lists of friends, scan users profiles, retreive profile data, send messages, and post comments.
use WWW::Myspace;
my $myspace = WWW::Myspace->new ($account, $password);
OR
my $myspace = new WWW::Myspace; # Prompts for email and password
unless ( $myspace->logged_in ) { die "Login failed: " . $myspace->error }
my ( @friends ) = $myspace->get_friends();
This module is designed to help you automate and centralize redundant tasks so that you can better handle keeping in personal touch with numerous friends or fans, or coordinate fan communications among multiple band members. This module operates well within MySpaces security measures. If youre looking for a spambot, this aint it.
WWW::Myspace works by interacting with the site through a UserAgent object, using HTTP::Request::Form to process forms. Since by nature web sites are dynamic, if you find that some interaction with the site breaks, check for a new version of this module (or if you go source diving, submit a patch). You can run "cpan -i WWW::Myspace" as a cron job or before running your scripts, if appropriate, to make sure you have the latest version.

Locale file highlighter for Vim
Locale file highlighter for Vim is highlights ISO TR 14652-style locale input files. more>>
Glibc uses locale (or fdcc) files to define cultural conventions. The files are usualy named
xx_ZZ where xx is the ISO language code and ZZ is the ISO country code.
Main features:
- highlights only valid keys with various LC_ sections
- Shows bad < UNNNN > unicode as an error
Installation
- Copy the file to your .vim/syntax directory in a locale file type: set syntax=fdcc
Filetype detection
Slightly harder as locale files do not have any specific suffix - but heres what to do
Insert this after the Diff section in your scripts.vim file. It does initial patern matching and then looks within the file to determine if it is a locale file.
The double quotes below are escaped on this site so remove those escapes. In fact it will probably mess up all back slashes aswell.
" CVS diff
else
let lnum = 1
while getline(lnum) =~ "^? " && lnum < line("$")
let lnum = lnum + 1
endwhile
if getline(lnum) =~ ^Index:s+f+$

NoFuss Sales Tracker 0.006a
NoFuss Sales Tracker is a quote generation and tracking system designed for the general IT retailer. more>>
NoFuss Sales Tracker is a quote generation and tracking system designed for the general IT retailer.
NoFuss Sales Tracker project can create quotes from an internal price list using drop-down menus and pre-setup machine recipes.
The end product will keep information regarding clients in a database, be able to generate quotes on the fly, generate invoices from quotes, etc.
NoFuss Solutions provides expert IT services to the local community using experience in a variety of computer systems. We support both hardware and software and strive to provide a one-stop service to our customers. Our main target is the home user or small business owner that can not afford dedicated IT personnel but needs the services of a dedicated IT support office.
Apart from the general IT support services (repairs and maintenance) we also offer custom software development utilising the JAVA programming language. NoFuss Invoicing is a free invoicing solution for small businesses and we are currently working on a free point-of-sale application for the same market.
NoFuss Solutions came into existence during 1996 as Horn Labs and along with a shift in focus the beginning of 2005 the name changed to symbolise the new vision and direction of the business. The main aim of NoFuss Solutions shifted from providing services to corporate companies to providing the same services to smaller businesses, especially start-up companies. After restructuring the cost-structure we managed to focus on this relative low-income market and build a stable business on a very unstable market.
At the head of NoFuss Solutions is Ewald Horn, sole proprietor since 1996. Instead of trying to do everything in-house we have identified areas where we can out-source certain functions in order to provide a higher level of service to our customers. This enables us to focus on our strengths while still providing an all-round service to our customers.

Finance-QuoteHist 1.07
Finance-QuoteHist provides Finance::QuoteHist, a Perl module that provides easy fetching of historical stock quotes. more>>
Top level aggregator that will select a default lineup of site instances default lineup of site instancesof site instancesof site instancesof site instances from which to retrieve quotes.
Other than the default lineup, this module behaves identically to whichever site-specific module is first in the lineup. See below for site-specific modules.
METHODS
The basic user interface consists of several methods, as seen in the example above. Those methods are:
quotes()
Returns a list of rows (or a reference to an array containing those rows, if in scalar context). Each row contains the Symbol, Date, Open, High, Low, Close, and Volume for that date. Optionally, if non-adjusted values were requested, their will be an extra element at the end of the row for the Adjusted closing price.
dividends()
Returns a list of rows (or a reference to an array containing those rows, if in scalar context). Each row contains the Date and amount of the Dividend, in that order.
splits()
Returns a list of rows (or a reference to an array containing those rows, if in scalar context). Each row contains the Date, Post split shares, and Pre split shares, in that order.
source($ticker, $target)
Each of these methods displays which site-specific class actually retrieved the information, if any, for a particular ticker symbol and target such as quote (default), dividend, or split.
Enhancements:
- The internal structure was changed to use date iterators where appropriate.
- The documentation was fixed for MSN.
- Various minor edge cases were fixed.

Kuote 0.9.3
Kuote is an applet for the KDE panel, inspired by Gnomes Wanda the Fish. more>>
Kuote is an applet for the KDE panel, inspired by Gnomes Wanda the Fish. It displays an animated character (a fish by default), which pops up quotes generated by the fortune(6) program when clicked (and optionally shows them in tooltips, too).
Kuote supports kioslaves for both the animation file and fortune files (fortune directories still work from local filesystems only). This means that you can enter any URL, not only local file names.
Try for example this fortune file available over WWW: http://hektor.umcs.lublin.pl/~mikosmul/computing/inet-fortune
It contains only two quotes, so for testing purposes use it as the only fortune file or assign it a high probability if you want to actually see these fortunes.
Main features:
- support for user-defined animations (file format compatible with Wanda the Fish)
- run fortune or any other program to generate quotes
- fortune can be configured through the GUI
Enhancements:
- added new animation: "See, Hear, Speak" (CC-BY-NC-SA license) - thanks to Mark Riedesel [Klowner]
- added French translation (thanks to Nicolas Ternisien)
- added "Next" button to fortune dialog
- fixed a memory leak associated with dialog boxes
