radutmped is a utility that can remove utmp entries from radutmp files of several RADIUS servers. The project directly manipulates the radutmp file and does not use radzap or any other programs.
FreeRADIUS, Cistron Radius Server and GNU Radius radutmp formats are supported. Three search modes are available, radutmped can match entries in radutmp by login (User-Name), nas_port (NAS-Port) or session_id (Acct-Session-Id).
COMPILING:
- Edit Makefile to change CC, CFLAGS or LDFLAGS if necessary.
- Execute make:
# make
- Only one RADIUS server can be supported in the radutmped binary, you have to
choose which.
By default, FreeRADIUS support will be compiled in, to change, pass along an
environment variable RADUTMP_TYPE when issuing make:
For Cistron support use RT_CISTRON as the variable value:

MySQL Pack for QNAP TS-101/TS-201 was created to install MySQL on the QNAP NAS server, TS-101/TS-201. It contains a pre-compiled MySQL server and install programs. Installation:
Create a share folder named MySQL. You may directly create Network Shares named MySQL on TS-101 Administration page. Please make sure both the real folder name and share volume name be MySQL.
Upload and unzip the package file (e.g. MySQL-4.1.21-TS-101-v0.2.tar) to the share folder created in the step 1. Here, using administrator to access the share folder is recommanded.

As the installation is done using checkinstall a Slackware package is also created at the same time.

MapFS implements a Linux filesystem which utilizes copy-on-write functionality and existing Linux filesystems to allow component filesystems (or portions thereof) to be combined into a single virtual filesystem that appears to be fully writable.
It is written in C, uses the standard Linux kernel VFS and loadable module interfaces for defining new filesystem types to the kernel, and supports (at least) kernel versions 2.4.7 to 2.6.13.
This functionality significantly eases data sharing between multiple machines connected to a shared storage medium (SAN/NAS/Mainframe DASD) as data can be optimistically shared between all of the machines in a way which is completely transparent to the applications running on them.
MapFS will execute a copy-on-write to obtain a private copy in the event that one of the Machines attempts to modify a copy that is on the shared medium.

Libao began life as cross-platform audio library inside of ac3dec, an AC3 decoder by Aaron Holtzman that is part of the LiViD project. When ogg123 (part of the command line vorbis tools) needed a way to play audio on multiple operating systems, someone on the vorbis-dev mailing list suggested the libao library as a possible way to add cross-platform support to ogg123. Stan Seibert downloaded the libao library, severely
hacked it up in order to make the build process simpler and support multiple live-playback devices. (The original code allowed one live playback driver, the wav driver, and a null driver to be compiled into the library.) Jack Moffitt got it supporting dynamically loaded plugins so that binary versions of libao could be provided.

Plait (pronounced "play") is a new way to find and play music from the command line. Plait understands brief, easy to type queries that pick a single song, mix queries that combine works from multiple artists, and stream queries that find Shoutcast radio streams.
A variety of filters are available to pick just the music you want to hear. In order to actually play the music it finds, plait hands off a play list to one of the supported music players. The end result is that you can type commands like
plait "miles davis"
plait --mix mingus monk metheny
plait --stream salsa
plait --mixfile punk
and plait will seek out cuts from your library, or radio streams, and play them in your music player. Plait uses UNIX as a compatibility layer to target X Window, Windows with Cygwin, and OS X.
One of Plaits design goals is to support embedded Linux and streaming audio, suitable for NAS media servers like the Buffalo Linkstation and the Linksys NSLU2.
Enhancements:
- Release 1.5.2 introduces an improved installer. It is now possible to install Plait without root privileges, in which case it installs in your home directory by default. If you install as root, Plait now installs to /usr/local by default rather than /usr. This is probably what most people want. In either case, you can override the default by providing an install directory as an argument to the install command. Also in this release, minor bugs are fixed in the XSPF web publishing feature.

XAnim project is a program for playing a wide variety of animation, audio and video formats on unix X11 machines.

XAnim X11 Support
XAnim supports the majority of the common X11 Visuals. It supports all depths that have a bpp of 1, 8, 16 and 32. Other bpps are non-standard(although they are legal). NOTE: that the depth indicates how many bits are used to specify the color of a pixel and the bpp indicates how many bits each pixel consumes in memory. For example, a depth 24 Visual usually has a 32 bpp uses 24 bits to specify the color and 8 bits of padding per pixel.
Since I optimize each video decompression routine(currently over sixty of them) for each bpp, its a lot of work when someone decides to use a "non-standard" bpp. Especially when the bpp doesnt have a correspondingly sized variable(like bytes for depth 8 or shorts for depth 16). This is why bpp 24 is not yet supported.
XAnim also supports X11 shared memory. This can greatly speed up the drawing of images on most X11 servers by eliminating the need for the X11 server to copy the image *before* writing the image to the display memory. NOTE: X11 shared memory isnt possible when you are using a remote display(ie: you are running on one machine and sending the display to another).
XAnim Audio Support
Unix doesnt have anything even remotely resembling an audio standard or API. This means separate and unique code must be written for each OS/machine combination that is to be supported.
Below is a list of the currently support platforms. If you have a platform that isnt currently supported and you would like to help write the code for it, let me know and I can provide you with some assistance, etc.

That way you could use the same xanim executable depending on whether the machine youre on is running NAS or not.
The reason I bring this up is because I suspect I will probably break things left and right for a while and since I dont have access to the majority of these platforms, I wont be able to test them out before releasing. In any case, when the time comes, Ill give plenty of warning and will leave the old release around.

Featherweight Linux is my Live-CD installable Linux distribution that I remastered from Feather Linux, which is built on knoppix technology. Youll find some great people over at Feather and you can find some good documentation there.
Their goal is to make a light and fast Linux with a very small footprint that can be installed on USB pen drives and such. My goal is a bit different. I want a full featured Linux that isnt bloated with a kazillion gigs of crap that Ill never use. I want a small footprint that is light and fast, even on older machines, but still carries a knockout punch.
So I took Feather and stripped out a bunch of apps that I never even thought of using. I wanted to make an easy to understand desktop that was compatible and easily configurable with the latest apps being developed, so I removed all of the window managers and installed a minimal KDE 3.3 desktop.
I included the most popular internet apps like the Mozilla Suite complete with plugins, Gaim, Gftp etc... I added full printer support and wifi support. In my test environment, it automatically detects and configures both my network printer (HP PSC 1210)and my linksys wireless card. Hopefully, itll do the same for you. It is debian based so I installed Synaptic for easy upgrading and totally FREE software management. Customizing your own system with the software that you want is only a few clicks away.
In its current state, the ISO is about 240mb and the HDD install is about 700mb, which is about 1/4 of all the other overweight distros out there. Once you install it, you can install OpenOffice and a bunch of other stuff if you need it, but I just wanted to make a good solid functional base so you can build your own system if you want.
Featherweight is intended for novice users with "some" linux experience, intermediate users, and experienced linux users alike. It has a pretty straight forward install but you should know linux and HDD partitioning basics before trying to install it.

- Ive upgraded e2fsprogs and e2fslibs as well as some other critical core files.
- I updated the apt sources and added abiword and acroread, as well as the acroread mozilla plugin, and I added kppp.
- I upgraded samba and switched the quick start konqueror and kde help buttons with a mozilla button and a konsole button.
- I fixed the install script where some folks were getting a blank screen after installation and added a grub install script for easy installation of grub after the initial install.

I want a full featured Linux that isnt bloated with a kazillion gigs of crap that Ill never use. I want a small footprint that is light and fast, even on older machines, but still carries a knockout punch.
So I took Feather and stripped out a bunch of apps that I never even thought of using. I wanted to make an easy to understand desktop that was compatible and easily configurable with the latest apps being developed, so I removed all of the window managers and installed a minimal KDE 3.3 desktop.
I included the most popular internet apps like the Mozilla Suite complete with plugins, Gaim, Gftp etc... I added full printer support and wifi support. In my test environment, it automatically detects and configures both my network printer (HP PSC 1210)and my linksys wireless card. Hopefully, itll do the same for you. It is debian based so I installed Synaptic for easy upgrading and totally FREE software management. Customizing your own system with the software that you want is only a few clicks away.
In its current state, the ISO is about 240mb and the HDD install is about 700mb, which is about 1/4 of all the other overweight distros out there. Once you install it, you can install OpenOffice and a bunch of other stuff if you need it, but I just wanted to make a good solid functional base so you can build your own system if you want.
Featherweight is intended for novice users with "some" linux experience, intermediate users, and experienced linux users alike. It has a pretty straight forward install but you should know linux and HDD partitioning basics before trying to install it.

Enhancements:
- Ive upgraded e2fsprogs and e2fslibs as well as some other critical core files.
- I updated the apt sources and added abiword and acroread, as well as the acroread mozilla plugin, and I added kppp.
- I upgraded samba and switched the quick start konqueror and kde help buttons with a mozilla button and a konsole button.
- I fixed the install script where some folks were getting a blank screen after installation and added a grub install script for easy installation of grub after the initial install.
- The total installed size is now about 800mb.
