Mail::QmailRemoteXS 1.2

Mail::QmailRemoteXS is a lightweight C-code (XS) SMTP send function based on Qmails qmail-remote. more>>
Mail::QmailRemoteXS is a lightweight C-code (XS) SMTP send function based on Qmails qmail-remote.

SYNOPSIS

use Mail::QmailRemoteXS;

$ret = Mail::QmailRemoteXS::mail($to_domain,$from_address,$to_address,$msg,$helo,$net_timeout,$net_timeoutconnect);

This module provides a single function mail that sends an email via SMTP. It uses an XS implementation of Qmails qmail-remote binary written in C so is very lightweight and fast (compared to Net::SMTP).

The difference between Mail::QmailRemote (IKEBE Tomohiro) and Mail::QmailRemoteXS is that the former requires the qmail package to be installed and simply invokes a wrapper around the qmail-remote binary for each send. This module statically links code based on qmail-remote and has no dependencies other that a working resolver.

FUNCTIONS

mail

$ret = Mail::QmailRemoteXS::mail($to_domain,$from_address,$to_address,$msg,$helo,$net_timeout,$net_timeoutconnect);

Send an email message $msg (which includes rfc822 headers) to $to_address from $from_address using $helo as the SMTP HELO greeting. $net_timeoutconnect is for the initial SMTP connection and $net_timeout is for the wait time for SMTP responses.
See Qmails qmail-remote manpage for more information and details on the return value $ret.

WMeyes 1.2

WMeyes 1.2

WMeyes is a pretty simple application: it sits in the WindowMaker dock, and a pair of eyes track your cursor. more>>
WMeyes is a pretty simple application: it sits in the WindowMaker dock, and a pair of eyes track your cursor.
Actually, the program should work in all window managers, but then you dont have a dock to sit it in, in which case you might as well use xeyes.
Enhancements:
- I added changes based upon a patch I found at http://www.shiratori.riec.tohoku.ac.jp/~jir/linux/products/wmeyes/index-e.html which allows one to click upon the eyes and run a program.
- Your command will be fed directly to the shell, so that you can use shell metacharacters or what have you, although you will probably need to escape them. Note that wmeyes does not automatically background the program, so you will probably want to background it yourself.
For example:
# run an xmag whenever the eyes are clicked on
wmeyes -w -e xmag &
# show the number of lines with the word "foo" in them in your mail spool
wmeyes -e xmessage `grep -w foo $MAIL | wc -l` &
# make wmeyes stop working until you have finished with a shell
wmeyes -e xterm
# my personal favorite: make the screen blank when the eyes are clicked on
wmeyes -e xset dpms force off
I also added support for multiple displays at once. Use -d, -display, or --display as many times as you like.

jMemorize 1.2.3

jMemorize 1.2.3

jMemorize manages your whole learning progress and features statistics, categories and a visually appealing. more>>
jMemorize is a Java application that manages your flashcards by the famous Leitner system and makes memorizing facts not only more efficient but also more fun. jMemorize manages your whole learning progress and features statistics, categories and a visually appealing and intuitive interface.
The basic idea is to divide the cards into different decks depending on the difficulty they present to you. This is done by repetitive quizzes in which you try to answer the question out of your mind. Every time you know the correct answer to a card, it is put on the next higher card deck. If you fail at a card, it is put back to the starting deck.
This system is combined with time schedules. Cards that have been known, are considered to be learned until a specific expiration date has passed. The higher the deck, the more far away the expiration date is set.
For example might a card that has been successfully checked for the first time be scheduled to be relearned one day later again, while a card that has been correctly answered three times in a row might be considered as learned for about week. As long as a card is considered learned, it wont appear in learn sessions.
As a whole, this system manages your personal learn sessions and allows you to focus on learning, while it automatically decides which facts should be learned right now to make the most out of your time.
Main features:
- Create, edit, remove and reset cards.
- Arrange cards by creating card categories.
- Have a visual representation of your current learn situation.
- Customize your learn session setting in nearly every way imaginable. This includes the abilities (among others) to..
- choose which category to learn.
- choose to learn only new cards, expired cards or all cards.
- choose card/time limits.
- choose whether you want learn cards in normal mode, with flipped card sides or randomly flipped card sides.
- choose from different preset time schedules or enter you own custom time schedule.
- Search through your cards with the find tool.
- And much more..

QiuX is a GDM theme for the GNOME desktop.

I though my first theme wasnt finish and so I made a new one - which I say it is better version of the first.

Dont think I am stuck with this idea, I just want to perfect it and when I will be pleased I will make other cool GDM themes.

So, what did I do in this new theme? I changed a little the buttons, added a cool gradient, changed the color of the text "Username:".

wmfire 1.2.3

wmfire 1.2.3

wmfire is a fiery dock app. more>>
wmfire is a fiery dock app.
This is an update of the original wmfire dock applet. Like the wmufo program it uses the GDK library to improve its speed - using less than half the cpu of the original program.
It can monitor the average cpu load, or individual cpu load on SMP computers. Additionally it can monitor the memory, network load, a file or just be set to show a pretty flame. On entering the dock a burning spot replaces the cursor, and after two seconds symbols to represent the current monitor are "burnt" onscreen. The flame colour can also be changed.
Enhancements:
- Add sticky option and fix regression causing second window

Atheme project is a portable, secure set of open source IRC services released under the BSD license, designed to run on many IRCds.

Unlike alternative packages, Athemes core is minimalistic, providing only required functionality. Extra modules providing functionality you want as a network administrator can be acquired through our (upcoming) module repository.

That said, Atheme provides a fairly complete services set, excluding features designed for oper abuse. It also adds a twist on many of the classic features of Services, such as NOOP.

WMMenu 1.2

WMMenu 1.2

WMMenu project provide a popup menu of icons for WindowMaker like in AfterStep, as a dockable application. more>>
WMMenu project provide a popup menu of icons for WindowMaker like in AfterStep, as a dockable application. It is not as powerful as there is only one menu level, but I think it is sufficient, since you can make multiple separate menus.

The program can be run more than once at the same time, which allows as much different menus, each one described in a separate file. The description simply consists in a suite of lines containing the pixmap name and the shell command to run, with the first line giving the dock image and the menus title (will be used later). The menu automatically pops up to the right or left depending on the on-screen position.

Why:

More functional to organize program launchers when you have lots, rather than pile them around the screen like we can see on some screenshots... (I conceive its less appealing).

Usage:

wmmenu [< options >...]

-h
show help message
-m MENUNAME (mandatory)
set the name of the menu file to load from ~/.wmmenu
-g WxH
set width and height of tile
-t XPMFILE
set the pixmap used as tile
-l XPMFILE
set the pixmap used as highlight to track pointer
-O oldleaving
use old behavior for hiding the button bar: hide only when
leaving the bar, not when leaving the tile.
-O click
activate the button bar only when clicking on the tile, not
when the mouse moves in and out.
-O noautoscale
disable automatic scaling of pixmaps, that makes them fit
inside specified tile size.
-O behind
draw highlight pixmap behind icon, not above.
-O hide=N
set the time delay necessary for the bar to close after the
cursor has left wmmenu. N is specified as a strictly positive
integer in milliseconds. 1 is used by default.
-r ROWS
arrange icons in the bar on multiple rows (specified as the
number ROWS). The default is one. Icons are arranged leftmost
from upper left corner.

iSMS 0.1.2

iSMS 0.1.2

The iSMS package is a mobile messaging gateway. more>>
The iSMS package is a mobile messaging gateway. This is a package based upon the GSM::SMS package. It allows to implement a webservice based on SMS messages. It can be considered a piece of middleware that implements a HTTPSMS gateway.
Main features:
- rule based bidirectional SMS messages.
- SMS messages get translated to a HTTP request. A WEB frontent allows for easy configuration of rules. You can define ACL ( Access Control Lists ). POST/GET, Basic authentication, standard queries ...
- XMLRPC based SMS gateway.
- This allows for easy integration of corporate level applications into the iSMS suite. Almost all application servers or groupware products have XMLRPC support ( www.xmlrpc.com). With this support you can easily deploy a corporate wide SMSC.
- Remote SMS nodes.
- iSMS is build around a HTTPd ( apache ) as an event-based application server. To support serial nodes ( responsible for reception of SMS messages ) I had to use a seperate node-process. This also allows to build a distributed SMSC. You can have different nodes ( one for each operator ) and they all communicate back to the main server. The node uses XMLRPC as its messaging protocol. This way it is easy to use it through a corporate firewall or proxy.
- A node does not need to run on the same machine as the iSMS server.

PanelFM 1.2

PanelFM 1.2

PanelFM helps you to quickly browse through the files and directories on your local disk. more>>
PanelFM helps you to quickly browse through the files and directories on your local disk. PanelFM is not intended to replace a file manager, but rather complement it by providing a minimal interface for speeding up the task of locating and opening a file or directory.
By default, the only entry in the popup menu when you click on the panel applet is your home directory. Moving the mouse over that pops up a submenu with a list of all files and directories in your home directory, and so on. Each menu that pops up for a directory has two menu items at the top that allow you to open that directory in the default file manager or gnome-terminal (gnome-terminal and Nautilus as of now).
You can have additional root points in the main menu by creating a .panelfmrc in your home directory, containing a full pathname for each root point on each line. Standard UNIX permissions apply, so you can only browse directories for which you have adequate permissions.
PanelFM was inspired by File Menu Applet (http://www.zoned.net:81/~xkahn/file_menu_applet/), which seems to be dead now.
Enhancements:
- added display of icons in each menu item based on file/directory mime type
- added applet icon in About box
- added tooltip
- moved applet icon to "Utilities" section of GNOME "Add to Panel" dialog
- general code cleanup
