Rapid XSLT for linux 0.1
Provide a complete set of tools that a programmer can use for writing XSLT. more>> The project is still too early in its development life cycle to be compared to other, more mature, editors and IDEs. Nevertheless, it does provide a complete set of tools that a programmer can use for writing XSLT.
There are no plans to further develop this project.
Some of the features of this editor:
- Ctrl+Shift brings up a list of frequently typed XSLT elements with a shortcut letter that allows one to be inserted.
- Shorthand Notation supports two groups of elements that abstract nicely to programmatic constructs: xsl:call-template and xsl:with-param elements and xsl:choose, xsl:when and xsl:otherwise. They can be written using the shorthand notation as a method call and a case-default construct, respectively.
- Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys navigate between elements and attributes.
- User preferences allow inserted code to be customized.
- One or more elements can be wrapped with an inserted element.
- Multiple XSLT files can be opened and edited at once.
The download file contains help sheets to explain how to use the program.
What are its known limitations?
- The preferences window is not user friendly in that the options that should be set via radio buttons are set by typing YES or NO into text fields.
- When closing an open document, the user is prompted to save even if no changes have been made to it.
- Only one construct can be typed at a time in the shorthand notation text area. Therefore, a case/default construct may not be followed by a method call, and vice versa.<<less

Ghost for Linux 0.23
Ghost for Linux is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool similar to Norton Ghost. more>>
Ghost for Linux project is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool similar to "Norton Ghost" and by Symantec.
The created images are optionally compressed, and they can be stored on a local hard drive or transferred to an anonymous FTP server.
A drive can be cloned using the "ClicknClone" function. g4l supports file splitting if the local filesystem does not support writing files >2GB. The included kernel supports ATA, serial-ATA, and SCSI drives.
Common network cards are supported. It is packaged as a bootable CD image with an ncurses GUI for easy use.
Enhancements:
- This release adds new kernels and syslinux, plus other support program options.
- It adds ntfs-3g to support writing to ntfs partitions for the local backup images and adds ntfsclone backups to local drives or partitions.
- Users can now copy the files from the CD image to a flash drive that has been made bootable, and it will then work from flash.

Spoon for Java 1.2
Spoon is a Java program processor that fully supports Java 5. more>>
Spoon is a Java program processor that fully supports Java 5. The project provides a complete and fine-grained Java metamodel where any program element (classes, methods, fields, statements, expressions, etc.) can be accessed both for reading and modification.
It can be used for validation purposes, to ensure that your programs respect some programming conventions or guidelines, or for program transformation, by using a pure Java template engine. It provides an Eclipse plugin (SpoonJDT) that allows for tight integration of Spoon within the Eclipse environment.
With SpoonJDT, a set of validations and transformations packaged as a Spoonlet can occur on the fly, and the reports are well-integrated into the Eclipse JDT.
Enhancements:
- This version includes a lot of bugfixes and new features.
- In particular, Spoon now adjusts the line numbers of the generated bytecode so that they match the original source code.
- So, debugging spooned programs is finally as simple as debugging regular programs.

Patch for Net Accounting Daemon for logging 0.7
A patch for Net Accounting Daemon which adds support for logging network traffic on a MySQL Server. more>>
A patch for Net Accounting Daemon which adds support for logging network traffic on a MySQL Server.
You can control nacctd with so called signals. Here is what the signals do (one might call this abuse of signals:
SIGINT ends daemon
SIGTERM ends daemon
SIGUSR1 increases debugging level
SIGUSR2 turns off debugging
SIGWINCH prints some kind of version id
SIGTSTP disables writing to file
SIGCONT enables writing to file
The last two (TSTP and CONT) are useful for an automated archival of the logfiles without terminating the daemon. Just send a SIGTSTP before moving the logfile and send a SIGCONT when you are done.
Enhancements:
- modifyed process.c netacct.h
- Moved build process to use configure script ala GNU recommendations
- now all compile options are available as configure options except HASHSIZE which i think is for advanced users only

Python library for PS3 0.1.2
Python library for PS3 (Sony Playstation 3) game development under Linux. more>>
Python library for PS3 (Sony Playstation 3) game development under Linux. Includes: rendering to the PS3 frame buffer on a per pixel basis or with blittable objects (solid, masked or alpha blended), support for PS3 controllers and integration with PIL.
As you may know, Ive been writing my PS3 stuff with a view to building up a library suitable for writing games and as I thought about it more the idea of using a scripting language for the game seemed the most logical way forward. I plumped on python as Id used it before for a couple of small jobs and it seemed like a nice language with a lot of support. Plus, it has the advantage of being pre-installed on most Linux distributions and very easy to extend, and so the PS3 library for python was born...
Brief bullet points of the current build:
Support for the PS3 frame buffer on a per pixel basis
Support for blittable objects (solid, masked or alpha blended)
Support for the PS3 controllers
Easy integration with PIL for image manipulation and text rendering
A proof-of-concept breakout game
After about a day and a half development, the core of the library was in place but in a not very visible way. It seemed that the only way I could actually demonstrate this to all be good stuff is by writing a quick game. And breakout is one of the simplest, so I spent another day writing that. Its important to have a good demo on release... So, Ill settle for this half-hearted attempt at a breakout game whose main redeeming feature is that it has alpha transparency on all the blocks!
Just to whet your interest, heres an example of how easy the code can be (taken directly from the test.py file):
image = Blittable(Image.open("miglu.jpg"))
for count in xrange(screen.height-image.height):
screen.clear()
screen.blit(image, (count,count) )
screen.flip()
screen.wait()
Enhancements:
- Adds support for image blitting with the SPUs.
- Currently, using 4 SPUs the alpha blended breakout demo runs at 30fps at 720p.

STOP! If youre just getting started writing tests, have a look at Test::Simple first. This is a drop in replacement for Test::Simple which you can switch to once you get the hang of basic testing.
The purpose of this module is to provide a wide range of testing utilities. Various ways to say "ok" with better diagnostics, facilities to skip tests, test future features and compare complicated data structures. While you can do almost anything with a simple ok() function, it doesnt provide good diagnostic output.
