KMSBII for Slackware 2.1.0

KMSBII for Slackware 2.1.0

KDE Menu Sidebar Image Improvement is a simple improvement for your KDE Menu. more>>
KDE Menu Sidebar Image Improvement is a simple improvement for your KDE Menu that replaces default KDE Menu Sidebar image with one designed specifically for your Slackware GNULinux distribution.
Having say a Slackware or Debian or FreeBSD or any other OS/distribution logo instead of default KDE gear may be a much better choice for those of you who are just in love with your favorite *nix.
Personalized it looks sexy, it looks witty, it stresses the facts.
This project proved to be a little success because people seem to appreciate it.
So, now here we are with updated package again and it is my pleasure to hear from you that youve given it a try.
Enhancements:
- Project structure has been redefined so that it is now template based and extensible. This is basically a first attempt to unify all types of KMSBII presented at kde-look.org.
- Installation script has been dramastically improved; added new features to control the installation process and the ability to perform post-installation actions; run `./install.sh help for more information. The script is quite verbose now and informs user of every action performed in a user-friendly manner;
- Abbreviations of the project related names have been introduced to provide a convenient way to refer to them. See "ABBREVIATIONS" section of `./install.sh help output;
- Graphic source files as well as KMSBI files have been changed once again, changes have been made to achieve the best look of the KMSBI;
- Added KMSBII for Slackware GNULinux distribution v11.0.0;
- Updated documentation.
- Licensing agreement has been introduced to protect intellectual property and rights of its owner. See COPYING file for more details and "Licensing Agreement" section of this file for short explanations on how this licensing agreement works.

PGP Forwarding Server is a server that receives e-mail on behalf of a user, encrypt it automatically and sent it off the users more>>
PGP Forwarding Server is a server that receives e-mail on behalf of a user, encrypt it automatically and sent it off the users real e-mail account.
The PGP Forwarding Server has a somewhat simplistic view of the world. We have basically a part of the world where things can be transferred in plain text. And we have a part of the problem where things must be encrypted.
It is up to you to decide how big those parts are. Maybe the "Insecure world" is the whole internet. Or just people living in some undemocratic country. Maybe the "Free World" is the whole internet or just the people working in your local network?
We dont care. Just keep in mind that the working axiom is that there we dont can encrypt the e-mail whole traffic, so we care at least about this traffic where we have incluence.
Now, the question is, why cant we encrypt e-mail traffic completely? Because of real world constraints. Just to name a few.
You have relatives. Does your nice Aunt Ann know how to use PGP?
You have a business partners. Now, whats with the sales person over there? Do they know how to use PGP?
However, if you are the boss of an enterprise you could train your exterior sales clarks on how to use PGP. And you can install the PGP Forwarding Server in your company and then everything in your country would be able to safely communicate with your travelling salesmen. Your accountant, your secretary, your tech department, and of course yourself.
So you see, by investing effort at the right place you will benefit from a great leverage effect all over your organisation.
No matter how big those areas are, a user of the PGP Forwarding Server needs to communicate via safe channels with the server. This is currently done by either PGP or SSH.
Receiving via PGP: basically an outsider sends something to an user account on the server, the server encrypts the message and sends it over to the user.
Sending via PGP: a user can may also want to send encrypted mail. However, most people in the internet wont have PGP keys, so the user encrypts the message with the public key of the PGP Forwarding Server and sends the e-mail to the command interface over there, using the "to" command. The server decrypts the message and sends it over in plain text to Aunt Ann.
Receiving via SSH: one just configures his account so that the server doesnt forward incoming messages, but place them instead into a POP3-mailbox. Then one connects via SSH and uses his very normal e-mail program to exchange e-mail.
Sending via SSH: again, you connect to the server via SSH. And again, one uses any e-mail program that can use SMTP to send e-mail normally.
Enhancements:
- Added a nice intro web page.

MPlayerThumbs for Kubuntu 0.5b

MPlayerThumbs for Kubuntu 0.5b

MPlayerThumbs for Kubuntu is a thumbnail generator for video files on Konqueror. more>>
MPlayerThumbs for Kubuntu is a thumbnail generator for video files on Konqueror.

Unlike the original konqueror plugin (in my gentoo box is artsplugin-xine), it DOESNT depend neither on xine nor arts, instead it uses only mplayer.

You can take advantage of this on x86_64 systems, where you can use a 32bit mplayer to load win32codecs. To configure the location of your mplayer binary launch mplayerthumbsconfig.

Also its faster than the xine plugin, since it can seek and play only a limited number of frames.

MPlayerThumbs for Kubuntu catches a random frame from 15% to 70%, checking also how contrasted is the image, and dropping bad frames.

Screensavers for Xandros 4.x

Screensavers for Xandros 4.x

Screensavers for Xandros 4.x contains twelve different screensavers you can try out for Xandros. more>>
Screensavers for Xandros 4.x contains twelve different screensavers you can try out for Xandros. They are static builds, so they should work out of the box. You may need OpenAL for the Really Slick Screensavers, and the sound is a bit scratchy, since I compiled the thing with Arts so the sounds would work all the time.
You dont have to have OpenAL installed though, you just wont get sound. Kanjisaver needs the Chineese fonts installed in order to function properly, so if you deselected those, pop in your Xandros cd and install them before installing it.
Other than that, the rest *should* work out of the box just fine. There are additional builds available, but this only gives me 12 spots. Simply right-click save the link for the package you want. Then Double click to install.
Additional info at http://forums.xandros.com/viewtopic.php?t=26918
P.S. Thanks to all the authors of these fine screensavers.
Main features:
- Flower Attack
- Kanjisaver
- KBiof
- KCad
- KCometen3
- KFieldlines
- KFlocks
- Kogs
- SmoothSlideSaver
- Really Slick Screensavers
- Kannasaver
