OpenLink Virtuoso is a Virtual Database product that provides transparent real-time access to disparate data sources (ODBC, JDBC, XML, and Web Services), and transparent integration of disparate application logic (e.g. Mono ECMA-CLI and J2EE integration). RitmarkFS is an open source filesystem storage engine for MySQL server. Using this engine you can work with filesystem on the server with SQL queries and MySQL server interface.RitmarkFS is also possible to access raw file contents.
RitmarkFS allows you to access common file attributes such as name, extension, path, size.
To start using RitmarkFS storage engine you have to create a special table.
Table name specifies filesystem mount point. I.e all data under that mount point will be accessible by the specified table name. In the examples above these were c:ritmarktest and /home/your_home_dir respectively. For example if you run a query like
SELECT * FROM `c$$ritmarktest`;
the query result will contain records corresponding to all files under c:ritmarktest recursively.

Anemon Dhcp Servers goal is to create an implementation of the DHCP protocol under GPL and a lot of stuff around to facilitate network management.

C++ Portable Types Library (PTypes) is a simple alternative to the STL that includes multithreading and networking. C++ Portable Types Library (PTypes) defines dynamic strings, variants, character sets, lists and other basic data types along with portable thread and synchronization objects, IP sockets and named pipes. Its main `target audience is developers of complex network daemons, robots or non-visual client/server applications of any kind.
PTypes defines simple and intuitive interfaces and differs from the STL in fairly moderate use of templates. The library is portable across many modern operating systems (currently FreeBSD, Linux, SunOS, Mac OS X and Windows). All platform-dependent issues are hidden inside. A simple web server called wshare is included in the package to demonstrate the full power of the library.
And finally, PTypes is open and free.
Main features:
- Threads and synchronization primitives solve the vital problem of diversity of the threading APIs on different platforms. The library also offers message queues and job queues as additional methods of thread synchronization and maintenance.
- IP socket classes and utilities provide complete IP-based framework for both client-side and server-side programming. Combined with PTypes multithreading, these classes can be used for designing complex non-visual applications, such like network daemons or web robots.
- Dynamic strings, variants, character sets, date/time type and various kinds of dynamic and associative arrays: Delphi programmers will find them very similar to the ones in their favorite language. The collection of these basic data types may be useful, among other things, for building compilers and interpreters for higher-level languages.
- Streaming interfaces provide buffered I/O with simple and powerful text parsing methods. A strictly defined syntax for a given text format or a formal language can be represented by calls to PTypes token extraction methods. Xplain2sql converts files from Xplain to SQL. xplain2sql supports a very large subset of Xplain, and it can convert from Xplain to Microsoft SQL Server, DB/2, Inprise InterBase, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or ANSI-92 SQL.
It can also generate an XML description of the generated SQL. This XML description can be used to create low-level middle-tier code.
A Delphi/ADO XSLT style sheet is included. The C source code release should compile on any platform with an ANSI C compiler.

Xplain2sql supports a very large subset of Xplain already, and it is continually extended until full support is reached. Currently it can convert from Xplain to Microsoft SQL Server, Inprise InterBase, DB/2, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access, and ANSI-92 SQL:
- Microsoft SQL Server support is very complete.
- Quite complete DB/2 support. Non literal inits are currently missing.
- InterBase support for init works only for literal inits (so attributes dont work). And because InterBase doesnt have the concept of temporary table, the extend and value only work for a single user.
- PostgreSQL is quite complete with the new PostgreSQL 7.3 release.
- Initial, but fairly complete Oracle support.
- Generates Microsoft Access data definition commands. However, it seems impossible to run an entire script against an Access database. Having to run each create table statement by hand is quite tedious.
- Generates good ANSI-92, however inits with non-literal values cannot be supported by ANSI-92 because it doesnt have the concept of before and after insert triggers.
