Free presentation files software for linux

KPresenter is a presentation application part of the KOffice. With KPresenter, you can prepare a set of slides for use in an on-screen slideshow or for printing. Your slides can include text and graphics in a variety of formats, and of course, you can embed all sorts of objects.

list files package prints to file list of files in a given directory.
Handy if youd like to, say, tell a friend of yours what ebooks you have, and wouldnt feel like typing them all by hand.

i assume youve got everything in its standard places; otherwise you probably know what to do anyway.
to install for one user
copy listFiles.desktop to ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus

OpenOffice.org localization with PO Files provides OpenOffice.org GSI files converted to the Gettext PO format to allow for easier localization using one of the graphical PO editors such as KBabel, GTranslator, or poEdit. They were created using the oo2po application.

The L10N and I18N project contains a framework and tools for localization (l10n) and internationalization (i18n).

Email Files Thunderbird is a very simple service menu script, to email one or more files with Thunderbird to any address or to a given address, which i assume is used as a "backup" space.

The subject is automatically updated according to the attached files and, in case you choose to send to your specific email address, details about sending date, user and host are automatically added in the body.

There are other similar service menus around, but i wanted a script that allows to attach more than one file at one time and that automatically updates the subject line.

USAGE: pretty straightforward.. Just make the two .sh files executable (if necessary) and place them in a directory of your path, for example /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin. Place the service menu file EmailWithThunderbird.desktop in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus

IMPORTANT: In file EmailWithThunderbirdToMyAddress.sh, you need to specify your email address in to=.... (that is, where i wrote: YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS@DOMAIN.NAME)

This project was tested on OpenSuSE 10.2, KDE 3.5.6

XMLPublication project is a collection of tools to generate Web pages from desktop documents or other structured documents, such as books with paragraphs, or tabular data.
It cuts documents into Web pages, and creates customizable multi-indices.
All this is done through a repeatable process in which data is separated from presentation and user settings. It uses XML techniques, particularly XSLT and Ant.

Pyntor project is a suite of small but usable software programs which are built upon Python and the SDL library (via pygame).
All programs are centered around a web browsing engine (Pyromaniac) and a slide show program (Pyntor itself).
Due to the minimal size and maximum configurability, Pyntor is a nice alternative to conventional presentation programs.

Bemused is a system which allows you to control your music collection from your phone, using Bluetooth. You will need to have a Series 60 or UIQ phone (e.g. Nokia 7650/3650, or Sony Ericsson P800/P900), and a PC with a Bluetooth adapter.

PRADO project is a component-based and event-driven framework for rapid Web programming in PHP 5. PRADO reconceptualizes Web application development in terms of components, events and properties instead of procedures, URLs and query parameters.
A PRADO component is a combination of a specification file (in XML), an HTML template and a PHP class. PRADO components are combined together to form larger components or complete PRADO pages.
Developing PRADO Web applications mainly involves instantiating prebuilt and application-specific component types, configuring them by setting their properties, responding to their events by writing handler functions, and composing them into application tasks.
Main features:
