MR Tech Link Wrapper Lite is a Firefox extension that wraps long links and lines to spare you from having to scroll left and rig more>>
MR Tech Link Wrapper Lite is a Firefox extension that wraps long links and lines to spare you from having to scroll left and right.

Hidden preferences:

- length to wrap: link_wrapper.wrapLength, default value is "15"
- Sites to ignore: link_wrapper.ignoreList, default regex value is "google.com|mail.yahoo.com|hushmail.com|blog.myspace.com|webmail.aol.com"
- html tags to ignore: link_wrapper.ignoreTags, default regex value includes tons of tags
- Enable page character limit to improve performance on large pages: link_wrapper.charLimitEnabled, default value is false
- If enabled use this character limit: link_wrapper.charLimit, default value is 30000

If Link Wrapper doesnt appear to work for you can:

- some blog site will break with this extension just add the domain to the "Sites to ignore" list in the options
- bump the limit of character to something higher than 30000 in the options dialog
- if you experience slow downs on large pages, enabling the character limit in the options dialog.

Note: Link Wrapper will force Linkification to only highlight part of a text link, version 1.2.2 and newer of Linkification adds a "Thorough Mode" which is disabled by default, enabling it will resolve this, or you can just double-click on the unhighlighted text on the right of the text from a link to have it open properly.

Page Title Eraser 0.6.3

Page Title Eraser 0.6.3

Page Title Eraser is a Firefox extension which provides more privacy by hiding the title and icon of a selected tab. more>>
Page Title Eraser is a Firefox extension which provides more privacy at your workplace by hiding the title and icon of a selected tab.

I always open several tabs in a Firefox window, but I would not like other people see some of tabs labels. So I wrote the PTE extension which helps me to have such feature. I hope that it can be useful for office people.

The Page Title Eraser adds menu item to the page context menu and "Tools" menu items. "Right-click" menu includes a "Hide title" menu item now. Using this item you can hide/show tab and window titles and tab icon. Each tab has its independent instance of this item.

Since version 0.3.0 you can hide or show all tabs labels using "Hide all titles" menu item. Using the "Options" window you can tell PTE to hide/show the icons of tabs as well as the titles of tabs (see screenshots).

Toolbar button and hot key combination (Ctrl + Shift + H) are also available.

Translations included: Arabic, Arabic (Saudi Arabia), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Dutch (NL), English, French, Italian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Slovak, Spanish (Spain).

Perltidy 20070801

Perltidy 20070801

perltidy is a Perl script beautifier. more>>
Perltidy is a Perl script which indents and reformats Perl scripts to make them easier to read. If you write Perl scripts, or spend much time reading them, you will probably find it useful.

Configuration Files

While style preferences vary, most people would agree that it is important to maintain a uniform style within a script, and this is a major benefit provided by perltidy. Once you have decided on which, if any, special options you prefer, you may want to avoid having to enter them each time you run it. You can do this by creating a special file named .perltidyrc in either your home directory, your current directory, or certain system-dependent locations. (Note the leading ``. in the file name).

A handy command to know when you start using a configuration file is

perltidy -dpro

which will dump to standard output the search that perltidy makes when looking for a configuration file, and the contents of the one that it selects, if any. This is one of a number of useful ``dump and die commands, in which perltidy will dump some information to standard output and then immediately exit. Others include -h, which dumps help information, and -v, which dumps the version number.

Another useful command when working with configuration files is

perltidy -pro=file

which causes the contents of file to be used as the configuration file instead of a .perltidyrc file. With this command, you can easily switch among several different candidate configuration files during testing.

This .perltidyrc file is free format. It is simply a list of parameters, just as they would be entered on a command line. Any number of lines may be used, with any number of parameters per line, although it may be easiest to read with one parameter per line. Blank lines are ignored, and text after a # is ignored to the end of a line.

Here is an example of a .perltidyrc file:

This is a simple of a .perltidyrc configuration file
This implements a highly spaced style
-bl # braces on new lines
-pt=0 # parens not tight at all
-bt=0 # braces not tight
-sbt=0 # square brackets not tight

If you experiment with this file, remember that it is in your directory, since if you are running on a Unix system, files beginning with a ``. are normally hidden.

If you have a .perltidyrc file, and want perltidy to ignore it, use the -npro flag on the command line.
