Simply Powerful ToolKit in short SPTK is a powerful widget toolkit based on the Fast and Light ToolKit (FLTK). more>>
Simply Powerful ToolKit in short SPTK is a powerful widget toolkit based on the Fast and Light ToolKit (FLTK).
The goal of this library is to create the easy-to-use, compact and effective library of controls to extend the abilities of FLTK library.
It is geared for business-style application development with database support (ODBC). All the widgets support database connectivity. A special CDialog class makes editing database records very easy. Every widget can be connected to the field, and CDialog can be connected to the database table.
Most of the controls are database-bound. If you place them on the CDialog-derived window they can load and save information from/to database.
This is the first release version of my controls(widgets) library that was designed to work with FLTK. Im using it for about a year in the production project.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug in CField::asString() that cause returning an empty string for some non-empty fields.
- Added couple of small fixes for better error hanling in CRegistry.

KJam Build Tool 0.37
KJam is a build tool like make. more>>
KJam is a build tool like make. It uses a syntax similar to Jam, with more powerful features than the original Jam.
It has built-in very fast dependency scanning, per-target viewpathing, and C-like control flow. It is optimized for multi-processor machines. It can accelerate building by launching build actions on a distributed peer to peer network of build servers.
KJam Build Tool is designed to support large projects with thousands of targets, or projects requiring building on many target architectures.
KJam is designed to be:
Unintrusive and clean KJam is small. It has negligible CPU overhead, and it doesnt create or leave behind temporary files.
Scalable KJam is able to build large projects spread across many directories in a single pass and can manage and distribute build steps to multiple processors on one or more networked machines.
Highly portable KJam currently runs only on Windows, but it is designed to be easily portable. Ports to Linux and OSX are planned.
Multiplatform Platform independent rules and platform specific actions can be defined separately from dependency rules.
Customizable Developers can enhance and extend KJam by creating user defined rules to utilize other built-in directives.
Language KJam includes flow-control statements, variables, and a few other features of general purpose languages.
Automatic Dependencies KJam computes dependencies for its targets during building. There is no need for a separate off-line make depend step.
Enhancements:
- A new "immediate" action modifier keyword was added, which causes actions to be run as soon as they are parsed, instead of during the command phase.
- Output formatting was improved.
- Several bugs were fixed.

Role Playing Tools 1.1
Role Playing Tools extends the pen and paper role playing tabletop to the computer. more>>
Role Playing Tools extends the pen and paper role playing tabletop to the computer by providing a die rolling tool with a full expression language including Javascript functions, tabbed rolling bars, quick summation features, and the ability to save and restore sessions. There is also a client and server map sharing tool. Both are intended to be simple and powerful and enhance the game, not distract from it.
We found that we wanted to augment our pen-and-paper roleplaying (primarily 3.5ed D&D) with computer aids.
These tools extend and augment our traditional playing style. They are not a role playing game by themselves, nor are they meant to replace everything at the D&D table.
DiceToolis a simple but powerful expression parser that has built in functions for random number generation and can be further extended by JavaScript to do all sorts of calculations.
MapToolis an elegant graphical tool to share maps (images) and map data (drawings, markers, grid placement) in a client/server fashion between multiple players.
TokenToolis an accessory to MapTool. Drag any image onto the workspace and use the mouse to move and zoom the image in the reticle. Then drag from the preview pane directly onto MapTool -- or File->Save to save a png file.

EDDIE Tool 0.37.3.1
EDDIE Tool functions as a system monitoring, security and performance analysis agent created completely in Python. more>> EDDIE Tool 0.37.3.1 functions as a system monitoring, security and performance analysis agent created completely in Python. Its key features are portability, powerful configuration and ease of expansion. It runs standalone on a system and performs checks and other actions as defined by an extensible configuration.
Major Features:
- The EDDIE Tool can perform all basic system monitoring checks, such as: filesystem; processes; system load; and network configuration. It can also perform such network monitoring tasks as: ping checks; HTTP checks; POP3 tests; SNMP queries; RADIUS authentication tests; and customized TCP port checks. Finally, a few checks lend themselves to security monitoring: watching files for changes; and scanning logfiles.
- The EDDIE Tool can also send any collected statistic to RRD files to be displayed graphically by any standard RRD tool. No need to run multiple monitoring and data collection agents.
- Monitoring rules are just like Python expressions and can be as simple or as complex as needed. Advanced alert control functionality such as exponential back-off and dependencies are also standard.
- The EDDIE Tool has been designed to be as platform-independent as possible. It is written in 100% Python and will run on all platforms that Python runs on. Only a few system-dependent modules must be customized for individual platforms for system data collection. System-dependent modules are included for: Linux; Solaris; HP-UX; OpenBSD; Darwin/OS X; FreeBSD and Windows (Win32) .

DParser 1.15
DParser is an simple but powerful tool for parsing. more>>
DParser project is an simple but powerful tool for parsing. You can specify the form of the text to be parsed using a combination of regular expressions and grammar productions.
Because of the parsing technique (technically a scannerless GLR parser based on the Tomita algorithm) there are no restrictions.
The grammar can be ambiguous, right or left recursive, have any number of null productions, and because there is no seperate tokenizer, can include whitespace in terminals and have terminals which are prefixes of other terminals.
DParser handles not just well formed computer languages and data files, but just about any wacky situation that occurs in the real world.
Main features:
- Powerful GLR parsing
- Simple EBNF-style grammars and regular expression terminals
- Priorities and associativities for token and rules
- Built-in error recovery
- Speculative actions (for semantic disambiguation)
- Auto-building of parse tree (optionally)
- Final actions as you go, or on the complete parse tree
- Tree walkers and default actions (multi-pass compilation support)
- Symbol table built for ambiguous parsing
- Partial parses, recursive parsing, parsing starting with any non-terminal
- Whitespace can be specified as a subgrammar
- External (C call interface) tokenizers and external terminal scanners
- Good asymptotically efficiency
- Comes with ANSI-C, Python and Verilog grammars
- Comes with full source
- Portable C for easy compilation and linking
- BSD licence, so you can included it in your application without worrying about licensing
Enhancements:
- Removed call to exec in python interface (Brian Sabbey)
- Fix binary_op_left in python interface (Brian Sabbey)

ADMLogger 1.1
ADMLogger is a log analyzing engine based on fireparse. more>>
ADMLogger is a log analyzing engine based on fireparse. After I had written fireparse, I had found myself writing little scripts based on it. Like one that told me what my FTP server did that day. And then more things like - were unauthorized machines trying to get IP addresses from my DHCP server? So I decided to rip out the engine of fireparse to create a generic log analyzer system. Using this core, I could easily build upon it with plugins. This also made it easier on my systems since there was now only one entry for cron, and I didnt have different code everywhere - a bug fix in fireparse had me searching the rest of my systems looking to see if I still used that line.
For the average Linux user, ADMLogger will probably only be a means to an end - that end being able to run fireparse. But with very little Perl programming knowledge, it may become a powerful tool in a System Administrators toolbox.
ADMLogger creates e-mail reports that can be formatted plain text or full HTML, which is up to the plugin designers to support. The main system has a HTML preference, so if your plugin ignores it, so be it. ADMLogger will also remove all filtered entries from the main syslog file into a second file so your other entries are more noticable.
Enhancements:
- Improved non-HTML output support for ALL plugins.

The Program Database Toolkit 3.10
The Program Database Toolkit is a powerful tool infrastructure that provides access to the high-level interface of source code. more>>
The Program Database Toolkit (PDT) is a powerful tool infrastructure that provides access to the high-level interface of source code for analysis tools and applications.
Many tasks in an integrated programming environment require access to program information for their implementation. Program Database Toolkit (PDT) is a framework for analyzing source code written in several programming languages and for making rich program knowledge accessible to developers of static and dynamic analysis tools.
PDT implements a standard program representation, the program database (PDB), that can be accessed in a uniform way through a class library supporting common PDB operations. Software tools can use this library to accomplish tasks such as
- documentation of program components
- creation of graphic program browsers that show class hierarchies, function call graphs, and template instantiations
- insertion of instrumentation for performance profiling and tracing; andgeneration of interface details for calling library routines or buildinginterlanguage bindings.
Enhancements:
- Assorted minor bugfixes.
