FlowerAttack is a screensaver for KDE 3.x. It sort of behaves like a limited particle system. It is quite configurable.

For example, you can change the number of emitters, images, colors, and so on. You can even create your own presets in order to quickly switch between experiments.

FlowerAttack is released under the GPL licence.

Libconfig is a configuration file processing library that saves you from having to write your own configuration parsers and routines.

It supports callback functions, automatic variable assignment, and many different configuration file types such as Apache-like, Windows INI-like, and whitespace separated.

Configuration is processed in a logical manner: global configuration files, local configuration files, environment variables, and finally command line options.

Installation:

Libconfig uses GNU autoconf configure scripts to build and should build on almost any platform.

Building it should be as easy as:
./configure
make
make install

(note that `make must not be BSD make, all other makes work fine.)

DSS also know as Debased Scripts Set project is dedicated to providing you with a "System Development Environment" to create your own DEbian BASED Live Linux System.

The TagMogrifier library for PHPs goal is to let you perform fast and easy-to-program transformations on XML documents. Instead of having to write your own parser, or directly using the PHP DOM parser, and having to write your own tree walker and such, you only need to instantiate a class, add a few match expressions, and assign a function to process every XML element that matches, DOM-style.

FunTimeDancer is a visualization plugin for XMMS and other audio players.
