AMX Mod X 1.76b
AMX Mod X is a Half-Life Metamod plugin. more>>
AMX Mod X project is a Half-Life Metamod plugin.
AMX Mod X is a Metamod plugin which allows you to write modifications for Half-Life with the Pawn scripting language.
It provides in-game administration tools, game statistics, server management, and gameplay modifiers. It is based on the original AMX Mod.
AMX Mod X is a versatile Half-Life metamod plugin which is targetted toward server administration.
It has a wide array of scripting capabilities so people can write "plugins", or files which add on to a mods functionality.
Plugins can take form in administrative services (adding new admin commands), statistics generation (StatsX), fun additions (godmode, etc), gameplay changes (WC3, CSDM), and much, much more!
You can also write modules to expand the functionality of AMX Mod X and add to the scripting language.
Enhancements:
- Fixed am46213: New-style menus that had numbered blanks would cause Core to guess the item numbers wrong.
- Fixed am46266: Team name detection did not work for TFC.
- Fixed a bug where get_func_id() would crash on an invalid plugin.
- Added an optional timeout parameter to SQL_MkDbTuple().
- Added a "queuetime" parameter to threaded query handlers, to get the amount of time passed.
- Extended CreateMultiForward() with CreateMultiForwardEx() for filtering old/new plugins from forwards.
- Fixed am45337: SQLX_GetQueryString() did not work with threaded queries.
- Fixed am46350: geoip.inc having faulty a double-inclusion barrier.
- Fixed am46378: unregister_forward() attempted to remove from the wrong hook table.
- Fixed am46336: Vexd_Utilities.inc did not include VexdUM for AMX Mod Compat compiling.
- Fixed am46630: rename_file() could not use relative paths.
- Fixed am45990: amxmod_compat.amxx could conflict and crash hand-ported AMX Mod plugins.
- Fixed am46340: miscstats.amxx could throw an RTE finding the enemy team.
- Fixed am46335: adminchat.amxx color tsay messages were not space aligned. Additionally, the leading space can now be omitted.
- Fixed am46699: stats.amxx for DoD did not display working multi-lingual menus.
- Fixed am46559: miscstats.amxx could throw an RTE if a player got more than 6 kills in a row.
- Fixed am45492: DoDX would overwrite the stats database on load.
- Fixed am46112: WinCSX.exe would not load properly on some versions of Windows.
- Fixed am45362: AMXX Studio did not indent correctly.

x-Desktop 1.5
x-Desktop is a development of browser-only application frontends. more>>
This project comprises a library for developing thin client application frontends using a browser. It helps developers creating (neat) application interfaces (GUI) for inter/intra- and extranet applications.
Main features:
- 100% Browser based & no plugins required
- Supports all Operating Systems providing a DOM2 / Javascript Support Browser
- Simple, well documented Object Interface
- Customizable desktop & window skins
Following Browsers are currently supported:
- Mozilla 1.2+
- Firefox
- K-Meleon 0.7+
- Netscape 7.0+
- Avant 7.0+
- Microsoft IE6.0+
- Galeon 1.2+
- OSX: Camino 0.7+
A note to Konqueror / Safari users: We do respect the work of the Open Source community, especially the K-Teams. However we did not have the time to dig too much into why Konqueror does not work as the others. But because Mozilla 1.x does work and comes with most Linux boxes, we focused on development of the supported browsers, rather than finding the key issues of this problem.
A note to Opera fans: Unfortunately the css and javascript support of all current versions does not allow many operations we do need (like dynamic clipping etc.) We did hope that the upcoming Opera 7.x version can be included as well. But so it is not the case.
Despite the success of NS 4.x it is clearly in excess of age. Therefore we are sorry to inform that NS 4.x or any prior versions of above mentioned browser cannot be used. In addition, the javascript engine of NS7.x seems to be very slow when moving or resizing desktop windows.

x-fontperf 1.1
x-fontperf is a small utility to measure X11 font loading time. more>>
x-fontperf is a small utility to measure font rendering/loading time in an x11 environment. Originally intended to see if there is any notable performance difference between a separate font server and local font rendering.
It actually does three different tests:
1) Loading the same font several times
Gives you an average loading time for this particular font. If you use a font already in use in your x-session this should be really quick as this font will be reused and not actually loaded again (cached)
2) Loading the same font in different sizes (incrementing)
Default is from 6 to 144 pixel. Interesting to see how rendering time increases with font size (see option -v)
3) Loading all available fonts
This should give you a good estimate on average fontloading time. Also a good test to stress your system and check if all fonts are loadable (see option -e)
Sample output:
x-fontperf -v
x-fontperf: Copyright (c) Holger Pfaff - http://pfaff.ws
x-fontperf: version 1.1 from 26-Mar-2004
x-fontperf: connected to server: :0.0
x-fontperf: server vendor: Gentoo Linux (XFree86 4.3.0, revision r3)
x-fontperf: vendor release: 40300000
x-fontperf: total of 6406 fonts found
x-fontperf: basefont: -*-helvetica-*-*-*-*-12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1
x-fontperf: loading basefont 100 times ... 6292 usec 62 usec/font
x-fontperf: loading font from pixel size 6 to 144 ... 2977820 usec 21578 usec/font
x-fontperf: loading all 6406 available fonts ... 34965472 usec 5458 usec/font
Usage:
Usage: x-fontperf ...
-display X-display to use
-v Increase verbosity (may falsify results)
-e Show errors during tests
-n Number of iterations for test 1 [100]
-min Minimum pixel size for test 2 [6]
-max Maximum pixel size for test 2 [144]
-foundry Foundry of font [*]
-family Family of font [helvetica]

-addstyle Additional style of font [*]
-pixelsize Pixel size of font [12]
-pointsize Point size of font [*]
-resolutionX X resolution of font [*]
-resolutionY Y resolution of font [*]
-spacing Spacing of font [*]
-avgwidth Average width of font [*]
-registry Registry of font [iso8859]
-encoding Encoding of font [1]
Verbosity can be increased in three steps by specifying -v several times. No-
tation -vvv is not supported. Use -v -v -v. Errors opening fonts are not shown
by default. Use -e to see them.
-n specifies the number of iterations for test 1. The default of 100 (shown in
brackets) should be ok for most systems. Increase/decrease values for fast/slow
systems
-min/-max specifies the minimum/maximum pixel size for test 2. Pixel sizes are
incremented by one.
The last block of arguments is for specifying the basefont to use for tests 1
and 2. These follow the standard x11 font naming scheme. Again: defaults are
shown in brackets.
Enhancements:
- first public version 1.0

Actual-X 0.6.1
Actual-X allows broadcasters to use available sound-bits in their broadcasts. more>>
Actual-X is a web-based program that enables broadcasters to share audio actualities. Digital audio files and information about the actuality are FTP-ed from any location, with Internet access, into Actual-X program. The files are then verified for accuracy, processed and placed into a web access page for real-time preview and insertion into a networked digital audio system. Actual-X allows broadcaster to easily incorporate available digital audio sound-bits into the next broadcast.
Actual-X tries to take a realistic view of the news workflow and the use of news actualities. Actual-X was developed under these workflow guidelines to make the use of audio cuts user friendly. Audio cuts on Actual-X average 40-secondsin lengths though the program is not length restrictive nor, is it restrictive in regards to the number of cuts that can be archived in the system.
The actuality workflow starts with opening the Actual-X program in any web-browser. The Actual-X welcome page is displayed with a list of options. To add an audio cut into the system the user selects Create a New Actuality.
At the Create a New Actuality screen, the broadcaster adds the basic information about the actuality into the form. After the information is entered, using any FTP program the corresponding digital audio file is uploaded into Actual-X. The matching audio file for the information entered must be uploaded before another informational screen can be completed. The new actuality can be viewed immediately in the Actual-X system by selecting the List of Actualities to View option from the welcome screen.
At the List of Actualities to View screen, youre quickly given a full list of available audio cuts, the link to audibly preview each actuality, and a one click transfer of the audio the users specific networked digital audio system.
A third party can authenticate the contents of the cut in order to verify the audio does in fact match the information entered. While viewing the list of cuts there is also an option to display the details. This calls an Actual-X screen that displays all information in the system for the selected cut.
The simple design of Actual-X is in line with the overall design formula of R-BOSS and all its modules. Everything is tailored towards web-based cross platform access, practicality and ease of use.

SimpleCDR-X 1.3.3
SimpleCDR-X is a GTK+ based tool for CD writing, mastering, and audio ripping/compression. more>>
SimpleCDR-X was born in mid-June of 2001. It was clear to me that SimpleCDRs interface had limitations that could only be overcome by going to a GUI interface. I then proceeded to look at the various toolkits and then I discovered Glade.
Glade is perhaps one of the best programming utilities that I have found for Linux to date. It the development of a 2200 line interface much easier than it would have been otherwise. If Glade wasnt around I still might just be playing with the various toolkits instead of having a finished product. Glade allowed me to focus on functionality rather than trying to get the interface to look right with straight C code.
SimpleCDR-X like its brother SimpleCDR is a hybrid of C and C++. Most of the external utilities are managed by C++ classes called from the hybrid callbacks.c. The reason that I didnt opt to use GTK-- instead of the hybird was because most everyone already has GTK+, however, not everyone has GTK-- and some dont want to download a 1.5 MB file to compile or dig up the installation CDs.
Main features:
- Disc-At-Once CD copying
- Audio CD copying via cdrecord and CDparanoia or cdda2wav
- Audio CD Mastering
- MP3/OGG import via MADplay, LAME, or OGG123
- Import from CD via CDparanoia or cdda2wav
- Data CD Mastering
- Multi-session CD writing
- Rip tracks to wav
- Rip tracks to MP3/OGG on the fly via Blade Encode, LAME, or oggenc
- GTK+ Interface
