KVortaro translates words from one language into another one.

The word can be selected via different methods:

* by selecting (highligthing) with the mouse-pointer (Left-Mouse-Button-Pressed and track)
* by copying the word into the clipboard (Ctrl + C)
* by klicking onto a word anywhere on the desktop (e.g. ALT + Rigth-Mouse button)

A small windows pops-up close to the mouse-pointer and shows the translation.

This project ist started because currently no fullfeatured, simple to use program exists for Linux/KDE.

Indeed some programs already exist, which do support nice features, but no program provides the following feature: klicking somewhere at the desktop onto a word, then doing optical character recognition (OCR), then popping-up a small window and showing the translation.

With the first release of KVortaro dictionaries for English-German and German-Esperanto are included. These dictionaries are simple text-files. There are plans to use a more sophisticated file-format later.

Lukutoukka is a one word at a time text reader for the GNOME desktop. It reads a text file and displays the contents one word at a time at an adjustable speed.

Lukutoukka is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

KDing is a KDE frontend for Ding, a dictionary lookup program. It is a simple program sitting in KDEs system tray that can translate the current clipboard content. The user can also enter a word which is then translated using Ding.

KDing is intended to translate between German and English, but as it uses Ding to do the actual translation it can be used for every language for which a word list is available for Ding.

WebVocab is a simple utility to replace words in Firefox (Greasemonkey enabled) browsers with another, user-specified, word. WebVocab is intended as a vocabulary study tool/game.

If, for example, you are trying to learn your colors in Latin, WebVocab might replace all the instances of red in your web browser with the word RUFUS.

KTranslator project can translate words from one language to another. KTranslator should support any language (I hope that) and come with a plugin system, to ease the addition of new dictionaries.

The main idea behind KTranslator is to translate a word without disturb the application in use. So, when the user selects a word, KTranslator will try to translate the word and show the result in a popup window. It behaves like Babylon for Windows.

Anagram Solver is a simple anagram solver program.

You can use it against any spelling dictionary that is formatted:

- one word per line
- in alphabetical order

If its not in alphabetical order, you could send it through pipe.

The basic algorithm tries all possible combinations of a word, in such a way that the combinations are generated in alphabetical order.

It also knows the next real word in the list, so it can tell whether or not it is futile to pursue a certain node. These optimizations make it possible for it to solve a 8+ letter word in a few seconds

To use it, simply point it to your aspell dictionary file, usually located in /usr/share/dict/linux.words

Pariahware, Inc. is currently working on a Bible trivia game that is a cross between the TV game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" and the electronic game series "You Dont Know Jack!" As one might imagine, this can be a daunting task.
That is why we are asking for your help in coming up with some GREAT Bible questions in order to make this game even more fun than we could do by ourselves! When you are finished submitting all of your questions, please e-mail the "qanda.rsd" file back to submissions@pariahware.com. By submitting the questions that you come up with, you agree to the following:
The Legal:
1. You expect no royalty fees or other payment for Pariahware, Inc. using your questions in the game.
2. Any parts of the questions you submit may be altered at will by the members of Pariahware, Inc.
3. Even though you submit a question for the game, that does not necessarily mean it will appear in the game.
4. If your name is included in your e-mail, Pariahware, Inc. has the right to add it as an acknowledgement, unless otherwise noted. You will not be paid as a result of having your name listed.
The How To:
1. Make sure that the Got Word DB Maker application and the "qanda.rsd" file are in the same folder or the program will not work.
2. Double-click the Got Word DB Maker application icon.
3. Select the radio button in the lower-left-hand corner that says "Add new question".
4. There are five text fields. The large one on the top is for the question. The other four are for potential answers. All of these need to be filled.
5. The correct answer needs to be selected by the "drop down" in the upper-right-hand corner.
6. The book of the Bible, in which the question is referencing, needs to be selected in the upper-left-hand corner.
7. Below the book selection is value (points) for the question. This needs to be selected as well.
8. When all of this has been done, the "Save New Question" button will activate. Click it to save your question.
Word of Caution:
To make changes to question that you have already entered, click the "edit existing questions" radio button.
