Mozilla Sunbird Project is a redesign of the Calendar component. Our goal is to produce a cross platform standalone calendar application based on Mozillas XUL user interface language. At the moment the Sunbird name is a project name. It is not official and may change in the future.

Our intended user is someone who uses Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird and wants a calendar application based on Mozilla.

In addition, by focusing solely on standalone Calendar, we believe we can make some dents in the overall footprint and performance of the Calendar application by removing components and chrome we dont need.

Sunbird is licensed under the MPL/GPL/LGPL triple license, allowing use of the files under the terms of any one of the Mozilla Public License, version 1.1 (MPL), the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL), or the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later (LGPL)

SOT, formerly named "Best Linux", is a Finnish distribution geared toward the desktop user, both home and office. SOT includes an office suite, multimedia applications, games, and more.

SOT Office, also linked to below, is a free office software suite based on OpenOffice for both Linux and Windows (not a standalone distribution).

bin86 is based on Bruce Evanss C compiler with additonal code, including a reasonable C library for ELKS DOS or standalone, written by myself and others.

This is the source mainly for use with Linux i386 but should work with other unix versions, within Linux the assembler and linker are used for bootblocks, DOSEMU and other packages.

Floodcast is a streaming plugin for Noatun that allows:

- Running a simple standalone-server on the machine Noatun is running on
- Forwarding whatever sound is currently played in Noatun to some shoutcast- or icecast-server

It was originally developed by Ryan Cumming (aka Phalynx).

PHP is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. Its syntax draws upon C, Java, and Perl, and is easy to learn.

PHP runs on many different platforms and can be used as a standalone executable or as a module under a variety of Web servers. It has excellent support for databases, XML, LDAP, IMAP, Java, various Internet protocols, and general data manipulation, and is extensible via its powerful API.

PHP project is actively developed and supported by a talented and energetic international team. Numerous Open Source and commercial PHP-based application packages are available.

Nosefart is a player for NES Sound Format (NSF) files (which consist of audio data ripped from Nintendo Entertainment System games).
It runs as a standalone player in Linux, with both command line and GTK interfaces, as well has having plugins for Winamp, XMMS, and CL-amp.
Enhancements:
- The file selection dialog now remembers what directory you used in the last session.
- If esd (or something else) is blocking the sound card, it now pops up an error rather than just hanging.

Newsd is a standalone local NNTP news server for private newsgroup serving on a single server.
It is useful for serving private newsgroup(s) to an intranet or the Internet and can act as a simple mail gateway, however it does not interface with other news servers and cannot manage distributed news feeds, i.e. Usenet news.
Newsd is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License. The Newsd source code should compile on any POSIX-compliant operating system. Binaries are provided for Linux and MacOS X.
Enhancements:
- Important fix to multiline headers being split during header reordering
- STR#15: Path: now maintained and passed through mail gateway
- STR#16: Mailgateway: "From" field now renamed to "X-Original-From:"

plugmon is a basic system monitoring utility with minimal configuration requirements.

Filesystems, kernel messages, and daemons are monitored from a standalone binary that only requires an email address as configuration.

plugmon project can be started from an init script or a cronjob. No central service is needed. It aims to give a minimum of false alarms.

Usage:

Install plugmon program.
Call "plugmon --mailto my.mail@address" from an rc script.
Or call it from a cronjob. Plugmon will check if its already running.
