FooBillard 3.0a
FooBillard is a free OpenGl billard game for linux. more>>
FooBillard is a free OpenGL-billard game for Linux with realistic physics, AI-player and many gametypes like pool carambol or snooker. Why foo? Well, actually I had this logo (F.B.-Florian Berger) and then foo sounds a bit like pool (Somehow I wasnt quite attracted by the name FoolBillard) The main physics is quite mature but not yet perfect. If you are a billard-pro and youre missing some physics, please tell me. Cause Ive implemented it like I think it should work, which might differ from reality.

KHdRecord
KHdRecord is an audio hard disk recorder. more>>
KHdRecord is an audio recorder which writes directly to the harddisk.
This enables recording of LPs.
Encoding MP3-files uses a lot of computing resources. This program requires a 350 MHz CPU minimum to run. Encoding Ogg/Vorbis-files uses even more resources. On my 1.4GHz Pentium it takes half of the CPU time.
The program directly accesss the sound and the mixer device. If you use it as non-root, these devices must be accessible for the user.
Because /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer are symbolic links on the most systems, the devices behind the links must be accessible.
On most machines this are /dev/dsp0 and /dev/mixer0. To give the devices accessible log in as root. Enter chmod 777 /dev/dsp0 and chmod 777 /dev/mixer0 .

- Recorder addresses the entire audio device or sound card unit.
- Audio is a set of adjustable parameters for a recorder.
- Sound the segment of data representing sound currently being played or recorded.
- Cycle is the interval in which the Sound is updated to the recorder.

JACK Timemachine 0.3.1
JACK Timemachine is a tool that can record occasional bursts of interesting noise from jack apps. more>>
JACK Timemachine is a tool that can record occasional bursts of interesting noise from jack apps.
I used to always keep a minidisc recorder in my studio running in a mode where when you pressed record it wrote the last 10 seconds of audio to the disk and then caught up to realtime and kept recording.
The recorder died and havent been able to replace it, so this is a simple jack app to do the same job. It has the advantage that it never clips and can be wired to any part of the jack graph.
The idea is that I doodle away with whatever is kicking around in my studio and when I heard an interesting noise, Id press record and capture it, without having to try and recreate it.
It seems to be stable for me, but there could be threading issues and race condidtions if run without SCHED_FIFO (ie. without jackd -R).

kluppe 0.5.1
kluppe is a loop-player and recorder, designed for live use. more>>
kluppe is a recorder and loop-player, designed for live use.
kluppe is the austrian word for clip or peg and sounds even crazier if you loop it.
kluppe is a looper software, built with live performances in mind. It runs under linux and uses jack for audio i/o. It is released under the gnu license. you can download, use and redistribute it for free.
I wrote it for my own needs, but im always happy to hear about other peoples experiences or needs concerning kluppe.
Main features:
- loading of (.wav, .aiff...) soundfiles into (memory-)buffers
- saving / loading of settings
- creating of empty buffers
- playing and recording of multiple buffers via loop-players
- direct (gui-) access to all loopers
- combined- and per loop output-ports for jack
- different playmodes including "granular"
- uses 32bit buffers internally
Compiling:
if you have all libraries (and their corresponding developer-sources) installed,
it should simply compile with make.
make install as root copies the binary to /usr/local/bin
sorry - no nifty autogen, configure... yet
if you run into troubles please let me know.
Enhancements:
- corrected grain wrap around loopborders
- reduce grain offsets to smoothen pitch shift
- fix possible segfault for very small grains
- improve klopfers shuttle control
- simple midi control for granular pitchhift + bend
- avoid "differ in signedness" warnings for gcc4
- fix stepsize for output-volume fader
- fix grainsize spinbutton behaviour
- moved parts of main menu to "Edit" menu
