x-Desktop 1.5

x-Desktop 1.5

x-Desktop is a development of browser-only application frontends. more>>
This project comprises a library for developing thin client application frontends using a browser. It helps developers creating (neat) application interfaces (GUI) for inter/intra- and extranet applications.
Main features:
- 100% Browser based & no plugins required
- Supports all Operating Systems providing a DOM2 / Javascript Support Browser
- Simple, well documented Object Interface
- Customizable desktop & window skins
Following Browsers are currently supported:
- Mozilla 1.2+
- Firefox
- K-Meleon 0.7+
- Netscape 7.0+
- Avant 7.0+
- Microsoft IE6.0+
- Galeon 1.2+
- OSX: Camino 0.7+
A note to Konqueror / Safari users: We do respect the work of the Open Source community, especially the K-Teams. However we did not have the time to dig too much into why Konqueror does not work as the others. But because Mozilla 1.x does work and comes with most Linux boxes, we focused on development of the supported browsers, rather than finding the key issues of this problem.
A note to Opera fans: Unfortunately the css and javascript support of all current versions does not allow many operations we do need (like dynamic clipping etc.) We did hope that the upcoming Opera 7.x version can be included as well. But so it is not the case.
Despite the success of NS 4.x it is clearly in excess of age. Therefore we are sorry to inform that NS 4.x or any prior versions of above mentioned browser cannot be used. In addition, the javascript engine of NS7.x seems to be very slow when moving or resizing desktop windows.

rfc2mib

rfc2mib

rfc2mib is a script that extracts MIB/PIB/ASN.1 modules from an RFC document. more>>
This Tcl script may be used to extract MIB, PIB and ASN.1 modules from an RFC document.

Unlike most extractors, this script is smart enough to recognize ASN.1-style comments prior to or within the module header, use of the "TagDefaults" part of the module header (not used by MIB modules), module headers that are broken across multiple lines, and macros.

fookb 3.1

fookb 3.1

fookb is an Xkb keyboard state indicator. more>>
Fookb is Xkb state indicator. It can display an icon corresponding to current locked Xkb group. It also can switch Xkb groups.

Fookb is primarily designed for WindowMaker window manager so it can be compiled as a dockable application with libWUtil (prior to 3.0 libPropList) support (hence should be configured with ~/GNUStep/Defaults/FOOkb file).

But if you do not have WindowMaker and/or libProplist/libWUtil fookb will work too. You absolutely need libX11 and libXpm. Without WindowMaker fookb will work as usual X11 application. Without libWUtil/libProplist fookb should be configured with X resources and/or command line parameters.

TclMilter 1.0

TclMilter 1.0

TclMilter is a package for Tcl that implements an interface to Sendmails Milter API. more>>
TclMilter is a package for Tcl (written in C) that implements an interface to SendMails Milter (Mail Filter) API for developing custom scripted message rewriting and spam filtering processes.
A thread-enabled Tcl build is required due to Milters threading requirements. However, you can only run, configure, or register callbacks for a milter from the first thread/interpreter the package is loaded into.
If you need to be able to stop the milter from within Tcl, you can load the package in another thread to do so. Only the "milter stop" command will function in secondary threads.
This extension is provided under the GNU General Public License (GPL) (see the file "license.terms" for details).
Main features:
- The smfi_opensocket command is not provided, only milter main as an interface to smfi_main.
- The smfi_setconn, smfi_settimeout, smfi_setbacklog and smfi_setdbg commands, as well as settings normally provided through smfi_main are instead provided as milter configure options.
- The smfi_register command is provided as milter register; however, unlike libmilter its possible to register and unregister callbacks at any time, rather than just once prior to calling main.
- There isnt a single data storage value for smfi_setpriv; rather, TclMilters milter setpriv command uses a hash table so you can set individual, custom variables with data to associate with a context.
- The context provided to callbacks is not simply a pointer, but is an actual Tcl command that can be used to interact with the context.

The Hunted Chronicle 2

The Hunted Chronicle 2

The Hunted is a single player FPS game based off of the Darkplaces engine. more>>
The Hunted is a single player FPS game based off of the Darkplaces engine. It is completely standalone, meaning that you do not need any prior files to run it, and it comes in a series called chronicles.
These chronicles are used for having a continuously flowing story and a difference in weaponry and in other things found in-game.
Each chronicle tells the story of a lone survivor escaping the city that has been overcome by the infected.
The symptoms of the infected at the time of the survivors adventure are not clear but as the chronicles are released, the story unfolds to make it quite clear as to why, where, when, and how this survivor came to be in a horror show such as this.
Main features:
- Completely recreated zombie and zombie code. Much more "realistic" in attack, range, and response time.
- Added random skin generator so zombies will be wearing different attire no matter how many times you play a map
- Added "Use" key, used to pick up boxes and move them to get to previously unattainable areas
- Added "story driven comics" used to help further the story and gives hints on puzzles
- Added all new weapon models
- Added fully functionable "secondary attack" (zoom with Mercs Gun, large swing with meathook)
- Added zombie footsteps
- FIXED**bug where zombies faking dead on ground would still block a players way
- FIXED**HUD/glock-pistol ammo malfunctions
- Added place_model attributes to have spatialization options and other effects to create global audio ambience and better effects using DarkPlaces extensions
- Added muzzleflash
- Added flashlight
- Added multiple new enemies

phpHtmlLib 2.5.4

phpHtmlLib 2.5.4

phpHtmlLib is a PHP classes for building and rendering XML/HTML/XHTML/WAP/SVG documents. more>>
phpHtmllib is a set of PHP classes and library functions to help facilitate building, debugging, and rendering of XML, HTML, XHTML WAP/WML Documents, and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) images as well as complex html widgets.
It provides a mechanism to output perfectly indented/readable XML/HTML/XHTML/WML/SVG source, and a programmatic API to generating XML/HTML/XHTML/WML/SVG on the fly.
Enhancements:
- fixed a problem with the ADODBDataListSource not doing count() properly.
- fixed a problem with the MessageBoxWidget::add_button() not working when an action contained a .html url
- Got the FormWizard to work. It should be useable now. It requires a child of the StandardFormContent.
- Changed FormValidation::is_name() to allow a second parameter to specify the max allowable length.
- Added ordering capability to the FEComboListBox
- Added 3rd parameter to DefaultGUIDataList::action_button() to support extra js prior to the submit being called.
- changed the order in which the content for the head are rendered for the HTMLPageClass. All external links are now built first before the inline js and css is added.
- changed the css class name of the DefaultGUIDataList column header links to resolve a conflict with the FERadioGroup text links
- changed FECheckBox clickable text to use the same css class name as the FERadioGroup clickable text. form_link
- Added a new optional parameter to the FormElement::get_element_name() so it can be called statically to discover an elements name that is used in the form, based on a string.
- First pass at a working FormWizard. Its still combersome a bit.
- Added an index parameter to FormElement::build_id_name() for building consistent ID strings for complex FormElement children.
- Added new FEColorPicker with some used JS code from http://www.mattkruse.com/javascript/colorpicker
- Fixed an issue with the FEComboListBox when manually calling set_value().
- The right hand side data wasnt being merged properly with the left hand data.
- Brian Laird added code to have a list of required selected values for the FEComboListBox.
- added XMLTagClass::get_tag_attribute()
- Fixed a problem of the DefaultGUIDataList missing the wrapping form tag when someone has added an action column.
- Fixed a minor issue with the FEHidden element with a value of 0 and php5
- Fixed a small issue with the FormProcessor building a hidden element that wasnt W3C compliant.
- Fixed a potential problem with the FEDate element being used more than once in a form.
- Added https support to the FormValidation::is_url().
- Added InfoTable::set_title_css()
- Added Daniel I. Roberts PEARDB_DataObjectDataListSource
- Fixed some validation issues with FEFile

bbconf 1.10

bbconf 1.10

bbconf is a GUI configurator for the Blackbox window manager. more>>
Welcome to bbconf, the all-in-one blackbox configuration tool. Never heard of blackbox before? Well, lets just say that its the best Window Manager for X thats out "there" in our humble opinion.

Simply put, this little utility here has such lofty goals as being the one place where you can configure anything and everything you need to that has to do with blackbox.

bbconf aims to do that through the use of plugins--plugins which allow you to configure anything you wish about blackbox or its helper applications such as bbkeys, bbpager, bbapm, bbmail, bbpal, etc.

bbconf is distributed with 4 plugins that allow you to configure blackboxs keybindings, blackboxs styles/themes, and your blackbox menus and submenus.

The architecture of the plugins themselves are very simple and elegant, thanks to xOrs work--making it easy for anyone else to add onto the distributed plugins to make it easy to configure whatever else you want to for your blackbox/X sessions.

bbconf has grown from two previous gui configuration tools, namely bbkeysconf (the gui blackbox keygrabber configurator) and toolbox (the gui blackbox style/theme editor).

But thanks to xOrs help, bbconf has become far more than the combination of those prior two tools. It has taken the place of them (read: no more development will be done on bbkeysconf or toolbox), and has the capability to do FAR much more.

bbconf is written in Qt and in some spots, uses raw Xlib functions to do what it needs to do. Qt Designer was used to help in laying out the forms and base classes--and makes the job of redesign/re-layout MUCH easier.

To run bbconf, youll need Qt libraries. If you want to compile bbconf by hand, youll need the Qt libraries, X libraries, X development packages and Qt development packages.

Kernel-Machine Library 0.1

Kernel-Machine Library 0.1

Kernel-Machine Library is a C++ library to implement kernel machines. more>>
The Kernel-Machine Library is a freely available (released under the GPL) C++ library to promote the use and progress of kernel machines. It is both for academic use and for developing real world applications.
The Kernel-Machine Library draws heavily from features of modern C++ such as template meta-programming to achieve high performance while at the same time offering a comfortable interface.
It enables compile-time selection of specialised algorithms on the basis of data types: for example, the specific case of a SVM in combination with a linear kernel can be computed by a specialised efficient algorithm.
The Kernel-Machine Library has implementations for the following kernel machines and their cited algorithms:
- Support Vector Machine [1, 2, 3]
- Relevance Vector Machine [4]
- Kernel Recursive Least Squares [5]
- Adaptive Sparseness using Jeffreys Prior [6]
- Smooth Relevance Vector Machine [7]
Up till now, the focus has been on regression. The handling of classification and ranking problems is being added.

Harvs Hamshack Hack 06

Harvs Hamshack Hack 06

Harvs Hamshack Hack is a remaster of the KNOPPIX distro for Amateur Radio Operators (Hams). more>>
Harvs Hamshack Hack is a remaster of the KNOPPIX distro for Amateur Radio Operators (Hams).

This project is directed primarily at Amateur Radio enthusiasts (Hams) who have no prior experience with LINUX. Hopefully, experienced LINUX users (perhaps, even a "guru" or two) will give it a spin and offer corrections and suggestions for improvement ... in fact, they are obligated to do so!

The CD contains a complete LINUX-Knoppix operating system and enough software to accomplish the usual tasks we all perform daily from our homes ... web browsing, email, letter writing, etc.

In addition, there is a huge library of programs for our Amateur Radio hobby.

The Hamshack Hack is a "Live CD". As a "Live CD" system, no installation to your machines hard drive is necessary. The whole package will run off the CD by building a "ram disk" in your machines memory. As soon as you re-boot your machine, the LINUX system vaporizes and youll be back with whatever system is installed on your hard drive.

To obtain your very own copy of the "the Hack", you must download the "hamshack.iso" image file and then, using your favorite CD burner (I use K3B on Linux, or Nero on Windows), burn the image to a CD. Pick the "Burn CD Image" option, else youll end up with just another copy of the .iso file. Then, when the smoke clears, youll boot your machine with this new CD.

Solaris packaging tools 1.2.1

Solaris packaging tools 1.2.1

PkgTools are a set of utilities which are used to aid in the building of native Solaris packages. more>>
PkgTools are a set of utilities which are used to aid in the building of native Solaris packages. There are five separate utilities which are used to build packages, prepare a chroot() environment to install software into prior to building a package, copy package control scripts into place, a tool to aid in the starting of new projects, and a tool to check that packages are installed correctly.

Currently there are four tools in this set:

build-pkg
This is used to actually build the Solaris package, calling chroot-install if required.
chroot-install
A utility which creates an environment suitable for calling chroot() on and allowing the user to install software into it.
proj-template
A utility which asks the user questions and then copies files and directories from a specified template directory and performs macro expansion on them. This is designed to aid in the initial setup of the home directory of a new project.
simple-proj
A very similar utility to proj-template. However it does not ask questions and only deals with the setting up of a simple InstallPackage. This is useful when dealing with 3rd party software which just needs to have a number of package control scripts put into the package.
check-pkg
A utility which can be used to check to see if packages are installed correctly. It can also be given a pathname to check on which packages said pathname is a part of.

It should be noted that simple-proj is really proj-template wearing a different hat.

Conspy allows a (possibly remote) user to see what is displayed on a Linux virtual console, and send keystrokes to it.
Conspy project only works with Linux, as far as I know. It is rather like VNC, but where VNC takes control of a GUI conspy takes control of a text mode virtual console.
Unlike VNC, conspy does not require a server to be installed prior to being used.
Enhancements:
- The program now works on big-endian machines.

Gif Disassembler 2.2.2

Gif Disassembler 2.2.2

Gif Disassembler is a Web script that lets you upload any GIF animation and will attempt to return the individual frames. more>>
Gif Disassembler is a web-based script that lets you upload any GIF animation and after that it will attempt to return the individual frames, along with the image information from your animation.
That info can then be used to reassemble the animation after frame editing.
Enhancements:
- The permitted file upload size was lowered to 250KB.
- A redundant file size check was added prior to image processing.
- Existing upload size limits were not being enforced, which caused ImageMagick to consume all available server memory.
- Only the index.php file in the temp folder is affected.
- Updating is recommended.

xmltv2html 0.7.0

xmltv2html 0.7.0

xmltv2html project is a Ruby script that generates a HTML page from the output of XMLTV. more>>
xmltv2html project is a Ruby script that generates a HTML page from the output of XMLTV.

The generated HTML page will have the channels listed on the vertical axis and the shows times on the horizontal axis. The shows information is displayed via DHTML popups. Virtually every aspect of the HTML page can be customized via the configuration file and CSS file.

VALID XMLTV

It is very important to have a valid xmltv file prior to using xmltv2html.
The xmltv distribution has two programs that are vital:
tv_sort will sort the listings by date and add stop times (see man tv_sort)
tv_grep will filter programmes and shows (see man tv_grep).

kio-ftps is an ftps KIO slave for KDE, based on rfc4217 and build upon the ftp KIO-slave sources.
kio-ftps should work yet with most server implementations It issues an "AUTH TLS" command after connecting and refuses to continue, when its not supported.
In prior to every data channel io command ("STOR", "RETR", etc) it tries to secure the data channel via "PBSZ" and "PROT" commands. If that fails it will transfer data unencrypted. There is currently no support for ssl-certificates. This might be added on demand.
Enhancements:
- initial release and svn repository set up.
