Matrix GL is a 3D screensaver for Linux and Microsoft Windows, based on "The Matrix Reloaded".
For running it you need a graphics card with an OpenGL support. Source code is available under the GNU GPL.
Installation
- Unpack the tar.gz file and place files in temporary directory
- Run the console with root privilegies and run matrix_gl with "install" option: ./matrix_gl -install
- In "Control Centre" choose "Look and feel"->"Screensaver" and set the Matrix GL
- Matrix GL requires freely distributable library Glut.

KPopup is a program, for sending and receiving Microsoft WinPopup messages.
Its programmed under the GNU GPL2.
Enhancements:
- add sticky bit to KPopup message directory (thanks to Romain Beauxis)
- excecute "make create_kpopup_data_dir" to change the permissions

gfourcc is a tool for changing fourcc in Microsoft RIFF AVI files.

Identifies the codec used in AVI files (*.avi) and allow the user to change the FourCC description code (like fourcc-changer in Windows).

Useful for people working with Microsoft AVI file. A Linux clone of AviC fourcc changer tool

GetCodecs is a simple applet written in python with a GTK2 GUI that downloads, installs, and configures your system to use the various multimedia formats (MP3, DivX, DVD, etc) that are not shipped with many distributions (such as RedHat).

ms-sys is a Linux program for writing Microsoft compatible boot records. The program does the same as Microsoft "fdisk /mbr" to a hard disk or "sys d:" to a floppy or FAT partition except that it does not copy any system files, only the boot record is written.

It is also able to do the same as Microsoft "sys d:" to a floppy or FAT partition except that it does not copy any system files, only the boot record is written.

The program is useful when using Linux to restore a backup of a reference
Microsoft Windows installation.

Installation:

Step 1, unpack the archive:

tar -xzvf ms-sys*.tgz

Step 2, compile:

cd ms-sys
make

Step 3, become root and install

su (and give password)
make install

pyemf is a pure python module that provides bindings for an ECMA-234 compliant vector graphics library.
ECMA-234 is the published interface for the Windows GDI used in the Microsoft windows environment and, more importantly, natively supported by the OpenOffice suite of tools.
Enhancements:
- This is the first non-beta release, which fixes a few problems when running with Python 2.2.
- It has been tested with Python 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4.
