eL DAPo 1.18

eL DAPo 1.18

eL DAPo is a PHP-based LDAP client. more>>
eL DAPo is a PHP-based application for managing and querying LDAP servers. It can rename, modify, and delete LDAP entries, as well as modify, add, and delete attributes associated with an entry.
Search filters can be changed while a session is open, so users only have to bind with the LDAP server once.
eL DAPo also includes a configuration file to make it fit well to your current schema.
Enhancements:
- Fixed security bug where looking at index.phps source from the browser revealed the users password.
- Session code has been changed so that eL DAPo no longer relies on register_globals to be enabled.
- Fixed a intermittent bug where eL DAPo complains you have not selected a server or base dn.
- Set index.php to redirect to the login page if you have not logged in.
- Added a check to let the user know if they have not enabled the LDAP module for php.
- Code Cleanup

LDAPDNS 2.0.6

LDAPDNS 2.0.6

LDAPDNS is an LDAP to DNS gateway. more>>
ldapdns is a fast and rhobust root-nameserver that can outperform bind and djbdns on medium to large installations, and will scale well both up and down.

the secret is that ldapdns uses a threaded core, and takes advantage of an external directory. its extremely simple, and it does not run under user-control as root.

its ideal for small and large installations, because it queries the ldap server directly, updates are immediate. you dont have to rebuild constant databases, or wait for bind to get its shit in gear.

but ldapdns is a work-in-progress. i use it on a production network, as do many others. but its up to you to make it best for your network.

postPHPix 0.5-1

postPHPix 0.5-1

postPHPix is a PHP-based interface to manage LDAP virtual mail domains. more>>
Postphpix is a mail subsystem based on Postfix and LDAP, it started with a PHP interface to manage mail domains via web, but now it can be managed from command line too through the command phpxadm. I started this project needing a mail subsystem that should be:
.secure
no system users
.scalable
daemons intercommunicates via socket so can be splitted on many phisical servers for high traffic systems using eventually SSL encription
.reliable
after splitting the daemons, you can get systems reduntant using for example heartbeat clustering software, and the ldap database allow you to manage and backup user information quickly or realize a mail folder backup server easily
.packageable
for many years I used Qmail, now I need more license flexibilty, so I decided to study and use Postfix, this architecture is the mail subsystem of the Argo GNU/Linux distribution that soon will be available as free software too
Enhancements:
- /etc/postphpix/postphpixconf.sh moved in /usr/lib/postphpix/

Fljud 0.4

Fljud 0.4

Fljud is a jabber user directory that uses an LDAP directory for user information. more>>
Fljud is a Jabber User Directory (JUD) that uses an LDAP directory for user information. You may find Fljud to be very useful if youve already got a Jabber server using LDAP for account authentication and vcards.
Fljud can be used to replace your existing JUD, but can also be quickly adapted to present and edit other information from your LDAP directory using Jabber.
Main features:
- Configurable fields: You can easily display almost any attribute data from your LDAP directory for each user.
- More capable searching: Search in any requested attribute, with a choice of AND or OR based search patterns.
- LDAP updates: When a user changes their details in the JUD, their LDAP record is updated.
- Configurable browsing: Users can be grouped into arbitrary, browsable folders. Groups can be based on any LDAP search criteria. This depends on Jabber client support.
- Field/attribute locking: Fields can be locked so that their LDAP attributes value cannot change, or cannot be removed.
- Flexible configuration: Fljud can be used to provide Jabber access to other types of LDAP objects. Alternate XML based configuration files can be specified.
- No XDB/JUD synchronisation problems: As both your authentication and JUD are using live LDAP records.
Version restrictions:
- Fljuds speed is probably less than that of the default Jabber 1.4 JUD, but it should be fast enough for internal Jabber servers.
- User accounts must already exist in the LDAP server and on the Jabber server.
- The establised Jabber standards do not have any form field types other than simple text fields with single word labels. Fljud only supports this basic form type. Later versions of Fljud will support the new Jabber data/form features as they develop.
- The flexible search feature does not now conform to new Jabber/XMPP standards.

LDAP Shell 2.0

LDAP Shell 2.0

LDAP Shell is an interactive LDAP shell written in Perl. more>>
LDAP Shell is an interactive LDAP shell written in Perl and allowing basic administrative functionality, such as crawling the directory tree and modifying entries.
It is composed of two parts: Net::LDAP::Config, and ldapsh.
Net::LDAP::Config is a library for simplifying and centralizing access to your LDAP repositories. Instead of having every single script ask for your ldap server and search base, or have it hard coded, you can simply use this library:
my $config = Net::LDAP::Config->new("default");
Its got a couple other nice features, like the fact that it caches your LDAP UID (per host), so you should only ever have to type it in once. Its pretty well documented, so perldoc Net::LDAP::config should get you the rest of the way.
ldapsh, and its corresponding library Net::LDAP::Shell, provide (shockingly) the shell behaviour. When run, ldapsh drops you into a (very simple) interpreter.
Even given its simplicity, though, ldapsh is still very useful: You can use it to walk your LDAP tree, you can clone existing objects (using the clone command), remove objects (can you guess the command?), and create new objects using new.
The new command, when provided one or more objectclasses, will automatically retrieve the required and optional attributes for those objectclasses, which can be a great time-saver.
Enhancements:
- A lot of cleanup, some new commands, and Term::ReadKey support.

Asterisk::LDAP 0.6.0

Asterisk::LDAP 0.6.0

Asterisk::LDAP is a perl module for generating Asterisk 1.0 compatible configuration files from an LDAP directory tree. more>>
Asterisk::LDAP is a perl module for generating Asterisk 1.0 compatible configuration files from an LDAP directory tree.
The package includes everything you need to get started, including the module itself, schema files, and example code.
Functionality is provided to see if a reload is necessary and optionally send asterisk a reload command when updates are made. Included is a script that can be called from voicemail.confs externpass option to update a users voice mailbox PIN number in LDAP.
Asterisk::LDAP is currently capable of generating extensions.conf, voicemail.conf, and musiconhold.conf. Support is planned for sip.conf, iax.conf, and meetme.conf.
Enhancements:
- Contexts are now written with a serial number and are not updated unless the serial number is incremented.
- This allows for granular and guaranteed consistent updates.
- The API has been dramatically cleaned up.
- Where before a number of calls were required to set up before getting any useful data out, only one call is required and three more optional calls can help automate most of the configuration.
- The developer may now choose to read the information from LDAP or write the contents to a set of files or to access the internal data structures directly for manual formatting.

Domain Auditor 0.31

Domain Auditor 0.31

Domain Auditor project was written to audit and track accounts within a domain. more>>
Domain Auditor project was written to audit and track accounts within a domain. This tool uses LDAP queries to a definable Active Directory server to find various definable classes of accounts.
Initially it will operate interactively, but capabilities may be added in the future to automate functions (i.e. generate reports on a scheduled basis). The installation script handles most installation chores, so setup is very straightforward.
The tool is beta status at this time, but is in being used to generate SOX reports for my employer.
Main features:
- Reports - This function will display a list of defined reports, when invoked it will generate a list of accounts from AD (via LDAP queries) the results returned will depend on what you have defined for the filter for any particular report class under Sysadmin
- Sys Admin - This function will allow you to changes the system settings for LDAP server and port, base DN, Bind DN, username and password, and the database settings (mySQL only at this time). You may also add the report class definitions and their matching LDAP filters within this module
- User Admin - This screen is used to define users for the system and their rights. Usernames are used as the primary value, and entered values are validated via LDAP queries
- Audit Logs - The system logs all changes to the information stored and this page will allow you to review the data from these logs
