Greasemonkey allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.

Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of poular sites, are already available.

jsPro is a set of libraries that extend the core Javascript classes and provide a number of new classes.

The aim is to provide a rich set of object-based functionality to the Javascript language.

Katiuska is a theora encoder frontend. It uses ffmpeg2theora, mencoder, the encoder_example that comes with the theora libs and a little gpl bash script that I found with google.

It can encode mostly any kind of video that ffmpeg and mencoder can (avi, mpeg4 and 2, quicktime etc).

Katiuska is also now a DVD ripping tool with an easy to use interface and default settings. Just select your audio and subtitle language if any and youre good to go.

This is my first app ever so it might not work for you at all.

Installation:

Just run ./setup.sh as root and then type "katiuska" to use it.

KAudioCreator is a front-end tool for ripping audio CDs and encoding the wav files using your favorite encoder. Based upon KDE it combines the look and feel of your desktop with the power and flexibility of the command line tools.

KAudioCreator is an audio file creation solution for KDE. It allows you to use whatever encoder you wish to encode your audio files while providing a comfortable GUI.

KAudioCreator also provides a job control system so you can see what files have succeeded, failed and stop or cancel jobs as the application progresses.

Note that the source for KAudioCreator is now kept in KDEs CVS. Please obtain it from the kdemultimedia section. The older downloads presented here (.88 and .99) are for KDE 2.X only! The Screenshots on the other hand are from the latest and greatest CVS version.

RobChat is an XML/HTTP chat script. It features multiple users, automatic updates without reloading, IE and Mozilla support, and a "whos online" window.

RobChat has the look and feel of a client-side chat client, but is written entirely in XML/HTTP, Javascript, and PHP.

Banteng is a cross platform visual javascript for building native desktop applications on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

The 0.1.1 release includes the core runtime engine and some basic examples.

iPod Video Encoder is a command line tool for convenient encoding of video files for use on iPod video. iPod Video Encoder project uses the ffmpeg tool for the actual encoding.
It features recursive encoding of all files in a directory, and generating a podcast.xml file for convenient use in iTunes.
It can be used in a cron job that periodically checks directories for new files and encodes them without user intervention.

Options:
--version show programs version number and exit
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-R, --recursive Process directories recusively

-e EXTENSIONS, --extensions=EXTENSIONS
Comma separated list of input extensions. Default: avi
-i IPODEXT, --ipodext=IPODEXT
iPod extension. Default: .ipod.mp4
-b VIDEO_RATE, --video-rate=VIDEO_RATE
Video bit rate, in kbps (default: 1024)
-a AUDIO_RATE, --audio-rate=AUDIO_RATE
Audio bit rate, in kbps (128)
-W WIDTH, --width=WIDTH
Video width, in pixels (default: 320)
-H HEIGHT, --height=HEIGHT
Video height, in pixels (default: 240)
-P, --pretend Do not really encode, just print out the ffmpeg
commands which would be executed

Podcast options:
-p, --podcast Generate a podcast.xml file for each directory.

Enhancements:
- Only uses the -e option for processing directories.
- The default ipod extension is now _ipod.mp4 for Windows compatibility.
- The README file has been extended with information on the .ipod-encoder settings file.
- The program no longer crashes when HOME is not set on Windows.
- --width and --height parameters have been added.

z3lib is an RFC 1951/1952 compliant compression library with an easy interface.

Thus, from quite old templates of previous studies, I compiled this library, which provides:

simple interface, both for memory mapped data and for files
RFC 1951, RFC 1952 compliance
thread safe implementation
three layer modular design
designed to avoid malloc, to match MMU less system, bootloader, or similar
options to do without glibc at all
options to do without encoder or decoder

The current version is not yet optimised for speed.
