FireFTP is an FTP server designed for web hosting providers. It uses a two-part design to provide a top-level "virtual" directory with a series of subdirectories underneath.

Each subdirectory can be owned by a different user; FireFTP chroot()s and setuid()s as it moves into each directory.

The end effect of this is to enable configurations where multiple users can have access to one directory and one user can have access to multiple directories, and system disk quotas still function as normal.

Installation:

./configure
make

(su to root or use sudo)

make install

FireFTP expects to be started as root from tcpserver (part of the ucspi-tcp package, see http://cr.yp.to); it may have issues when running under inetd or xinetd, due to tcpserver
environment variables that it expects to see.

A sample run file for svscan to start the process is provided in the contrib/ directory of the distribution.

cfgstoragemaker remotely generates an MRTG config file in order to graph all storage devices (disk, memory, and swap) of one or more specific host(s) via SNMP.

PHPwebmail is a Web-based IMAP and SMTP mail client. Often it is not possible to make outside mail connections from networks behind strict firewalls, or to configure a regular mail client (for example in an Internet cafe).

With PHPwebmail a mail client only needs a WWW connection to the mailserver. Specifically it only needs a connection to the webserver hosting PHPwebmail.

mod_vhost_hash_alias is an Apache HTTPD module that allows mass hosting with good distribution across a unified directory namespace.

Administrators no longer have to use complex regexps with mod_rewrite, since they can use mod_vhost_hash_alias to do a better job and use fewer resources.

mod_vhost_hash_alias is a component of the VHFFS hosting platform which is used by the Web hosting provider Tuxfamily.org.

Habotat is a small, lightweight application server for hosting IM Services (more commonly referred to as Bots).
Bots are small, specialized programs that you can communicate with using an Instant Messenger (IM) client; they show up in your Buddy List and are always there to do your bidding.
