Marlin is a sample editor for Gnome 2. It uses GStreamer for file operations and for recording and playback, meaning it can handle a great number of formats and work with most sound systems.
Main features:

HFM is a font manager for Unix systems. With it you can control the avaliability of fonts in all of the supported applications from a central place. Currently included are modules to support:

* X-Window
* Ghostscript
* TeX

A PostScript module handles PS Fonts. Other fonts remain untouched by this program.

HFM is distributed under the GPL (GNU Public License).

Auto-eject-cdrom is a very small C application that handles CD-ROM events in Linux. If new media is inserted in a CD-ROM drive, it is automatically mounted based on a matching entry in /etc/fstab.

If a CD-ROM is mounted and the eject button is pressed, the filesystem is umounted and ejected.

This allows for the same basic functionality Windows allows with the CD-ROM eject button.

LibHTTPD can be used to add basic web server capabilities to an application or embedded device.

The library handles both static and dynamically generated content, has very low overheads, and provides many features to simplify the creation of web based application interfaces.

Libshout library allows applications to easily communicate and broadcast to an Icecast streaming media server.
It handles the socket connections, metadata communication, and data streaming for the calling application, and lets developers focus on feature sets instead of implementation details.
Enhancements:
- This release includes support for the Speex voice codec, as well as a timing fix for Theora streams and bugfixes when login fails.

libcomprex library transparently handles automatic compression and decompression of files and archives located locally, online, or even in other compressed archives.

The API is similar to Cs built-in file access functions, which provides a smooth transition to libcomprex.

libcomprex can also open uncompressed files, making it a good replacement for the native file access functions.

libcomprex can currently open ar, bzip2, cpio, gzip, tar, and zip files. It supports basic archive writing in some formats. The API is very volatile, and development should be done against the CVS version.

gtksourceviewmm is a C++ wrapper for the gtksourceview text widget. gtksourceviewmm library supports undo/redo, syntax highlighting, and other features typical of a source editor.

Gtk::SourceView is a proper decendent of Gtk::TextView and inherits all the relevant properties and methods. In addition, it adds methods that wrap gtk_source_view_* functions and handles source view specific signals.

Kvdr program lets you watch the output of VDR on a monitor in X11.
Main features:
- anything vdr can do and will do
- handles the overlay of your dvb-cards
- lets you zap through your video devices or display up to for overlays at once (if you have more than one card). However - changing the channel via vdr is currently only supported on the "primary" dvb-interface.
- The picture in picture allows you to follow the movie at the other device in the small image. You can exchange those by a single key-press.
- the Xv-mode lets you zoom the image to larger resolutions and optionally handles deinterlacing by 50Hz half frame upscaling or field1 upscaling.
- fullscreen-mode (mouse, dpms and screensaver automatically handled)
- can be used for "remote" viewing of vdr-recordings if you have 2 dvb-cards and the remote-video-directory mounted
- lets you grab images during viewing, playback or recording in jpg or pnm format, filename is automatically generated out of channel-name, date and time.
- lets you control Brightness, Colour, Hue and Contrast of the overlay (not applied to grab-images!)
- handles 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios corrected with viewport-dimensions (currently at 4:3 monitors only)
- handles PAL and NTSC accordingly (but only PAL tested so far - iam living in Germany ;-)
- stores all configuration to file
